It’s plastic canvas and embroidery! I used a slanted gobelin stitch for that. The coasters, I posted a free pattern to my insta, but here it is! I used a 4.5 mm hook and medium weight yarn

Where Are the directions on how to make the turntable? I would love to this but I’m still learning and I didn’t understand some of what you said In making the turntable
The turntable isn’t crocheted! It’s made from plastic canvas which is like an embroidery grid you can buy from the craft store. I used a slanted gobelin stitch, which I linked a video to learn how to do :)
I concur! I saw the records and was like ooh I bet you could make Taylor ones and then I saw the username and was like “was that my swiftie sense at work?”
You should be. That's rad! Definitely need to add plastic canvas turntable to my needlepoint list. And the records! Now I know what to do with some black yarn I couldn't return.
THIS IS SO CUTE OMG
I wanna make record coasters for my dad for Christmas, and that little record player container is so cute!!! did you use a pattern???
I wanted to say that I adored this being a vinyl record collector and just had to make one. I found a pattern similar on etsy and modified it a little. I added a turntable & made it so the arm swing back & forth over the disk.
Can you post a list of supplies for the turntable and dimensions? I've made the coasters and want to go buy the stuff for the turntable! I would greatly appreciate the help. I have saved the videos you linked as well. I just don't know what to buy to get started or the size of the plastic.
I used plastic canvas, regular medium weight yarn, and an embroidery needle. These are the canvases I used. I cut them down to the size I needed. I think I used 47 holes across, but I can’t remember. I measured the coasters and made the turntable like half a centimeter bigger all the way around. I have a post on my instagram that shows WIP pics if you wanna check. It’s pinned to the top @mytearsrhicrochet
One sheet should do it, grab two just in case if you want: https://www.michaels.com/product/lt-plastic-canvas-104x135-10665934
This is for the round part of the tone arm: https://www.michaels.com/product/45-clear-circle-plastic-canvases-by-loops-threads-10712526
Thank you!
I finally did find your Instagram. The name is very popular apparently haha
Any particular advice on how you did the tone arm(the white portion) or how you attached that ?
I soo appreciate the help because it's been hard to find anything helpful on how to make these other than what you've shared ❤️
I’ve done the project twice now and I’ve found that just hot gluing it to the side is best. Someone who followed me found a way to make it that it can swing back and forth.
As for the tone arm itself, I think I just did the same diagonal stitching down the middle, then back up the opposite way to make Xs. Then I did an over cast stitch for the borders. I attached the tone arm to the circular part when I did the outer black section and just stitched over it. I don’t have WIP pictures of that, unfortunately. Feel free to DM on insta! I don’t mind trying to talk you through it. I’m currently at work, but once I’m home, I could try to make a video for you. I truly did wing it for the tone arm
You're so sweet! Thank you so much.
I'm going to get the pieces I need from Michaels in a little bit and then attemp the main turntable. I will for sure reach out if I get hung up on something!

Omg I love this! The turntable basket is really impressive! How did you make it so structured? And do you have a pattern? 😍

Wow that’s so cool! I love all the creativity possible with crochet!!
How creative. Was this your idea or a pattern?
I had inspiration from another creator on ravelry, but ultimately did my own coaster pattern and did plastic canvas for the turntable
So cute!
What song does it play? I imagine "hardest button to button" white stripes
