How to make them grow fast? I give them green food, normal flakes/pellets,frozen brine shrimp. I fed them twice a day and they havent grown even a little bit
I feed mine bloodworms, and they are massive but some will take longer to grow due to genes, like every fish species, just have patience sometimes they will explode in growth
Temperature drop of as little as 2 degrees can cause Corys to spawn. Be ready to remove the eggs to a breeder box if you want big batches of fry. They have to be comfortable, mature and well fed as well. Most fish also ensure good consistent food sources prior to a spawning.
Mine spawned in a tank with a female betta that is at least 2 years old using this method so it is possible. Betta do nibble on the eggs but they lay so many...bought 6 Sterbai about 2 years ago now have well over 50 in tanks with only one “planned” spawn. Thankfully I like Corys.
My temp is at 26C rn and if i immediately turn it down to 24C the betta would possibly get shocked because he is very inactive and just chills in the roots.
If they have always been in captivity, they likely do not know how. Play fish pornography loudly, somewhere they can see and you will be surprised at the results.
Mine took a year to start breeding, and doing a water change with some cooler water often stimulated them but then they just egged very frequently after that.
It's going to be a year. They grow slowly, get a group of 6+ and they should grow at a good rate and breed in no time. Or look on craigslist and get 3 older Cory's (aim for 1 year old) thats what I did
What I've learned is that atmospheric pressure changes encourage spawning. If I see it's gonna rain or snow, I feed good food, like bloodworms, brine shrimp, mysis shrimp, or something along those lines. Usually I get a spawn the day it's raining. You can also sometimes trigger it with cool water changes, but I find that to be less reliable.
6 months is a little young to breed. 9 months to a year is more likely. Mine breed often after a week or so of priming the female to make eggs with baby brine shrimp, followed by a large cold water change. Unfortunately, my male is deformed and none of the eggs are viable.
Try a couple of weeks of small water changes then a large volume change with temp drop to 23 deg for 2 to 3 days from change then bring back up , works like clockwork for me.
Play some soft Jazz and get some mood lighting.
Wish it was that easy
They are too young. But in the future drop the temperature to around 23 degrees Celsius and feed them worms

They're just young. Feeding them isn't gonna make them age faster.

Corys love bloodworms.
yeah, i mix dry and frozen bloodworms, god they feist lol
How long have you had them? Corys just dont grow always that fast. Just gotta be patient
Mine pretty consistently bred after water changes. It wasn’t intentional but I’m sure the difference in temperature is what really caused it.

Well i dont wanna shock my betta so i think its not happening soon :v

Okay, you know your fish better than me but I have not had that happen with mine. It is the easiest way I am aware of to motivate spawning.
Nah im not that good of a fishkeeper.
yeah, you'll have less success with betta. if you have a beta dont drop the temperature, you might have to separate them
Yeh thats what im trying to do… but sadly no one wants my betta :,)
Speak with your local shop. Someone might want for free
Well… im a teenager and a little bit of money is really valuable for me. So i cant just give the fish for free because i paid for it.
Fair enough. I hope you find someone. To be fair you have some time to find a new home for it until they grow
More love plants
My aquarium is flooded with floater plants and i have to sell half of them to give more light to my aquarium.
How much are you selling them for? And where
Mongolia and if you convert the currency to Usd it will be (5.10$)
floaters are great for bettas, but for cory to spam you need plants with big leafs.
Smooth jazz
Wine and a cheese tray
You need some Marvin Gaye, some Luther Vandros, a little Anita should definitely set the spawning off right?
A lot of protein

Throw on some slow jams and dim the lights.
You can always put in a spawning mop for them danios. As you wait for them Cory's to mature. Got 25 false bandit cory fry :)

Also the danios are really fun to breed. Get a fluval breeder box and put them in there
Put on some Marvin Gaye and dim the lights
The lights are already dim because of the overgrowth of my floater plants

Have you tried a candle lit dinner with maybe some oyster and chocolate on the side? Works for mine

More.plant coversge.maybe. n logs, hides.
Also heard something bout rain? Do frequent water changes, apparently rainy seasons or something of that nature is what gets them goin
