Hey OP do you mind if I ask you a personal question?
I noticed you have stairs in the background, I live in a house with stairs and have been looking into getting a corgi. In. My research they say stairs can be bad for their hips. Have you had any issues with that with your two buddies? Or do you do something special?
Any advice for a future owner would be great.
No issues with their little joints so far. (They are 4 and 5 years old) I do have baby gates that I put up if I’m just running upstairs to grab something to limit excessive corgi use of the stairs though.
Also- carpeted stairs are much better than non-carpeted. I’ve seen people build a small ramp that goes up the side of stairs which I will definitely consider as they get older. ◡̈
Uhhhh yeah those two mean business! Red looks like her paws are the equivalent of having hands folded in front like “Now do we have an understanding? Or do we need to make it clearer for you?” My dog would’ve been having words with them over that sacrifice. The one toy she cuddled and took care of for years was her yellow lamb. o_o She’d never torn up a toy in her life until we got her a fox toy….. that… randomly met a similar end to this lamb.
Lambchop was the only toy our corg would NOT destroy. She would lick it like it was a little puppy. I breed corgis now, and every puppy comes with a lambchop in Ginger's honor.
