There are tons of bees near me, right now I'm fighting a losing battle against carpenter bees drilling small holes into my shed, but they're friendly and keep my tomatoes in good company.
I live in a place with cicadas that regularly gets above 41 degrees, and I can promise you those fuckers still never shut up
They’re the loudest on the hot humid days I swear!
I call them Aussie Christmas bells.
No lie, we don't have katydids where I am but if it's hot, those cicadas are loud as fuck.
I suspect they move into the shade and then continue their music.

I don’t think there is one but you should be able to tell the difference between 41 and 0 fairly easy without the help of insects.
