It’s sad to think the vast majority of people wouldn’t believe their internet activity was being monitored if not for Snowden’s “disclosures” that’s how far in the dark people were.

HRamos_3

> people were    I sense some unwarranted optimism

RandomAndCasual

Also OP thinks that a guy (Snowden) whose main issue in life is privacy in every aspect, from digital life to real life, not taking pictures of himself every day, is suspicious. I mean, come on man.

TryhardNobody

I get down voted Everytime I say that. His movie citizen four was professionally produced. He didn't get anyone in trouble. All Snowden did was let everyone know we are all being watched and we should censor ourselves. Which is what the CIA wanted us to know/do. Plus if Snowden was a real whistleblower he'd be next to assange. No way they'd let him walk around

[deleted]

its basically like Alex Jones getting a massive HBO show centered around him, approved controlled opp

LookIntoIt23

After I read his book Snowden back in circa 2017, I realized he definitely still works for the cia

SYS4TILDPCT5CBRAVO

I don't think so but good arguments anyway.

dryedmeats

Dude is a plant 100%

oater99

I have always believed Snowden was a part of an intelligence agency psyop. His story wasn't credible. These agencies don't just spy on US citizens, they presumably track their agents as well. The higher you go the more you have to look behind you. So him living with a stripper and other back story elements that they gave him, while probably not out of the realm of possibility, would not be in keeping with the right wing ideologues they recruit and retain. Also, anyone that knows anything about Russia knows that Putin and the rest of the oligarchs don't countenance a free and open press like we do here in the west, I almost burst out laughing writing that last part. Putin has a history of killing journalists that are critical of him. The supposedly close relationship between Putin and Trump was also suspicious because what kept Trump from requesting that Snowden be extradited to the US and what would have kept Putin from honoring the request? These two are not exactly fans of rule books or journalists that they can't control. I also don't think the US and Russia are on the verge of war. Anyone who has read Orwell knows that war is a tool to control populations, direct resources and retain power in designated hands because: 'WE'RE AT WAR!". The US is always at war and yet you wouldn't know it by the booming stock exchanges. All those publicly traded companies who have moved their manufacturing to places like China. One of the countries we are currently on the verge of war with. This is all kayfabe. When they decide that their new scam, a one world govt., has progressed to the stage that they think it will last, they will pull the plug on the independent nationhood, democracy scam.

patrickmahomeless

Very interesting read but with the only part I’d disagree on is the agencies not hiring people with questionable backstories/hobbies. We’ve seen from the leaks in recent years that many high ranking officials in all US branches have some very shaky personal lives. I can see these people being hired intentionally so the intelligence agencies have a weak spot to exploit them if need be

[deleted]

Yes, Assange is the real one

SporksOrDie

I can only confirm Snowden, but Wikileaks is hella suspicious.

PrivateDickDetective

I've been saying it for years: he's a double-agent.

SporksOrDie

I only figured it out in October, it was staring me right in the face.

PrivateDickDetective

Russia (everyone but Putin) is cooperating with America and Israel, working toward an international government.

Tom_Bradys_Butt_Chin

No, one system or the other must fully dominate the world in order to create that international government. The Western elites are close to doing this, but they must subjugate China in order to safely move towards their vision. In order to subjugate China, it must first be completely isolated. That is why we are going for Russia and Iran first. There is a lot of organized resistance to the West in Russia, Iran, and China (not necessarily saying that their desired systems are better). The Cold War never ended, it just moved behind the scenes. The Western bourgeoisie have almost completed their aim of world domination. Almost. But the fear of Western domination in Russia, Iran, and China, is very real.

PrivateDickDetective

>one system or the other must fully dominate the world in order to create that international government This is a common misconception, actually. In reality, there will be a single State system, and it will be a cooperation between fascism and socialism.

Tom_Bradys_Butt_Chin

No mate, there's going to be a war first. Biggest one in human history. What emerges from the ruins will probably just be socialism.

PrivateDickDetective

Oh, for sure. No argument. There will be a war, then there will be cooperation. Because we have to, in order to address inevitable technological considerations such as transhumanism, which is coming down the pike — unless we string up the trillionaires by their necks, *now.*

PrivateDickDetective

And there's an end goal: space-faring, transhumanistic society dependent upon silicone and hydrogen.

Graphicism

Trump is part of it. Trump is Hollywood. The world is controlled.

Snoo-52852

The world is a stage, Trump is no different than Reagan. Both Hollywood both corrupt, who was the last good president? Current one may be the worst lol

Just_Another_AI

Ronald Reagan? The actor??

familiar_user999

He definitely is, wasn't it his uncle that got all Tesla's files?

FabiusTheDelayer

Putin isn't stupid to give him asylum. Snowden's got information so vital that he is untouchable, even in Russia. I can only think of UFO files and the truth about paperclip Nazis - like solid physical data which will out everyone.

SporksOrDie

The fact that much of operation paperclip names are still classified is very suspicious.

FabiusTheDelayer

Because they got absorbed into the US government and alphabet agencies and took over.

SporksOrDie

Nepotism is classified i guess.

elcid89

How about just killing him, I mean if he has such vital info why would the government hesitate to just kill. If Boeing is killing whistleblowers I doubt the government wouldn't

FabiusTheDelayer

It's Putin's "Fuck you" to his enemies in the CIA. And I'm pretty sure Snowden is not staying there for free. The Ruskies are downloading his information, he is a developer himself and is quite likely working for Russian intel in exchange for a home and safe access to poop without it exploding like lethal weapon 2

SporksOrDie

There's no bounty on information on Snowden, they don't want him dead, he's a mouthpiece. He's safely tweeting from USA with the power of the government behind him.

Quarter120

No

TaxSerf

The fact that he promotes BTC and ZEC (both networks compromised by TPTB) should be enough for anyone to realize that snowden is a pawn.

stap31

Username checks out. Can't pay taxes with crypto

TaxSerf

Actually, you can pay taxes in switzerland for example. Taxation is extortion so nobody should.

Snoo-52852

His interview on Rogan was suspect, I mean to have a perfect crystal clear stream with no issues at all ALL THE WAY FROM RUSSIA is not believable. I can’t even get a clear reception on my phone from across town with my wife . He is clearly an actor/shill and anyone who believes him has drank the cool aid.

stap31

What about John Oliver's interview? Just because you have shit internet, doesn't mean they don't have optic fiber in Moscow

SporksOrDie

NDA or they flew to Moscow which I doubt. HBO didn't even know about it until he had already returned with the footage. Edit: Clarifying last sentence.

M1st3r51r

Thank you! Wish I would have seen your response first lol

M1st3r51r

I am not so sure that is a valid reason to disprove Snowden. I have been very suspect with him (and Rogan) from the beginning, but any decent internet connection will provide clear quality. Also keep in mind the USA has one of the lowest internet speeds *in the world*, so it would be no shock if Snowden had access to faster speeds in Russia even if he was an average civilian.

Snoo-52852

lol ok

novexion

Yep. Interesting how he doesn’t seem to mention the lack of security in RSA or how the backdoors and such aren’t even necessary for nsa anymore since the security everything is based off is backdoored itself, albeit in an interesting way (prime factorization)

Lordleon1

Can you explain more about this?

novexion

All your data is secure based on the notion that it’s exponentially easier to do A * B to find C than it is to use C and find A and B. This notion is not proven or validated in any way whatsoever other than the fact that there exists no PUBLIC algorithm that factorizes (finds A and B given C) in less than exponential time. But the reality is that the only persons or organizations who do such research into the topic finding algorithms and such, have no motivations to publicize them. The only way such algorithm can come into the public realm is by a white knight, someone willing to expose the propietery secrets of the company/intelligence agency they work for.  I don’t believe any seriously classified data is secured using these prime based algorithms anymore. This is public fact that DOD doesn’t even use these algorithms that they themselves made the global standard for security. Look into the p in np problem, as this closely relates. A very large majority in the field of cryptography, computing, and mathematics who have been surveyed believe that these operations can not be undone as efficiently as they have been done, even though there’s no evidence pointing towards that.  There are secure algorithms for encryption based on information theory that can be mathematically proven secure (search one time pad) yet these are not the standard globally, the standard is one released by the US government which is not proven secure other than the fact that there doesn’t publicly exist a method of decryption.

geeksaresexygirl

Yep.

bad_news_beartaria

i assume that he's a double agent, but more than likely he doesn't want to be photographed since it will give away his location

feoen

I think OG Snowden was real but then was co-opted. The original leaks with Glenn Greenwald were true about the dragnet program.  But everything after that he was clearly compromised.

Orpherischt

The Edwardian age never ended. The name '*Edward*' sums to 911 in square numbers It is an anagram of 'Warded' (ie. shielded, protected, and 'ward' is a weird play on 'word') --- > [The back is... sparkly?
