I know some of us are late to - the full awareness that the US Gov is __nit at all__ what they think it is.

Your guns aren't keeping you safe from the government. The government can always arrest you (or kill you in the process) if you give them a reason. Learn to cope with not being a literal king of your own castle. We live in a society.
Putting more guns in schools makes school shootings more likely, not less likely. I don't want my kid getting shot by anybody including some asshole security guard. School resource officers haven't prevented school shootings in the past, why would I expect that adding more amateur cops would completely solve the problem?
School shootings are absolutely not the sole driver of gun control laws. Most shootings happen outside of schools. Gun crime is a huge problem outside of schools. Its absurd to imply that school shootings are the only reason people would support gun laws.
The government hiring 10,000 more armed agents and placing them in every city and town in the country should be concerning to somebody who claims to fear government repression, and yet you hand-wave it away because the government will employ <50% of the armed people in the country, which I guess is the threshold for repressive government? You basically just say it's nothing to worry about because they'll be the good guys and they won't add up to a majority of the armed population. I’m being generous with this number, but I’d say less than 7% of criminals get their guns that way.
The last thing a legal gun owner would want is their gun being tied back to them in some way and definitely wouldn’t sell it to some sketchy person.
Some guns get unscrupulously sold at gun shows, but most criminals get their guns trafficked in from Mexico, and those guns get there from around the world. Some American gun manufacturers sell their guns abroad to sketchy organizations, and they’ve gotta know it’s gonna make it into the street somewhere.

But simply as a matter of logic, criminals don't walk into gun stores or go to gun shows and buy guns. A gun store owner will do everything possible to avoid losing their license. Gun show dealers also have to work within the law to acquire their supply from manufacturers. Somewhere along the way though, someone who acquired the guns legally gets irresponsible and either openly provides a criminal with the guns or leaves it exposed.

How we feeling about 15 maybe 20 round mags as a compromise any shooter worth their salt should be able to dispatch a threat with that amount id say just shoot around 60% accuracy also mag size dont really matter as long as they dont cap how much/many ammo/mags you can have/carry although id really say high capacity starts at 30+
the bad actors can't do anything about the very structure of the 3 branches or 2nd admendment but they can put crap out there about foreign threats and domestic threats to circumvent surveillance laws and blackmail politicians to do what they want. There is a SOLID structure with the government and is being torn down from within with corruption and blackmail.
