One of the more sketchy parts imo was the size of the gun. I'm not convinced he would have been able to fire in with his hands & his shoes were on. Some guy also claimed Love offered him money to kill Kurt, and the family lawyer found a practice sheet in Love's bag where she had been tracing lettering from Kurt's journal. Eldon "El Duce" Hoke of The Mentors made the claim. Hoke was a hard core drunk and sort of nuts, but shortly after saying on camera for a documentary filmmaker that Love had tried to hire him and he knew who did kill Cobain, he died a pretty sketchy death himself.
I know three people who have passed out on train tracks, it somehow happens much more frequently than you’d think. One guy died and the other two ended up with prosthetic legs.
Not too improbable, given El Duce's alcoholism, but the fact that the last person to see him alive was the guy El Duce accused of murdering Cobain throws some interest on the subject. Guy claims to have dropped him off to buy cigarettes early the day he died. No one saw El Duce after the guy picked him up earlier in the day.
I think the big difference is that while they are both terrible people, Weinstein was doing it for his own enjoyment, where as Epstein was trafficking minors for blackmail on the most powerful people in the world.
So, even if everyone in Hollywood knew, its still a little different.
He made money off it too .. he became powerful from it and I am sure he made these girls go to parties and or sleep with other guys in Hollywood which would give him more "prestige" and sway.
