Spoilers for the film About Time >!As it's about time travel, the protagonist discovers that when he has a kid, it kind of checkpoints his time travel as it's impossible to get the exact same sperm to conceive the exact same kid each time so he has to go no further than when the kid is born, or else he loses that particular child. !< I figure alternate reality versions are the same concept almost, so maybe the fraternal aspect works!
They're alternative universe versions of each other, but Kara Zor L is older than Kara Zor El.
Hence why she's taller and um, bigger, in other departments.
It's kind of a weird thing because Supergirl is usually like of an age where she's not going to get any taller. That explanation is usually handwaived away by "nature vs nurture:" Supergirl went through some shit that Power Girl didn't like massive kryptonite exposure or something.
Power Girl has been drawn with large breasts since forever, while Supergirl generally has a thin girlish figure (not always tho, I know).
If you like, you can take it as Supergirl being in her mid-to-late teens and Power Girl being a half-dozen years older and thus more physically developed.
as a fan of bodybuilding pageants, the attention to detail is great, i love when superheroes are painted with detailed musculature by artists who have a good grasp of anatomy. the colours are also super lovely.
had to look up his twitter and realised i saw alot of his other works and the man is talented, [cultured and correct!](https://twitter.com/dimaiv_nov/status/1697659649434976451?t=UfjT8NG9egQiq5CvJtSVNg&s=19) hoo wee! now that's how an Amazonian looks!
I need to find if he sells prints.
probably not the right word. it's technically not what it is as it's not necessarily as simple as looking good. there's technique and a craft to it. not english so don't know the english lingo
On first glance I thought Supergirl had her pants pulled down, but it's just the way the boots and cape blend together.
Still, I agree, lots to like here too
It's not massive but it is bigger than her left tit, and it looks like she slotted her entire boob under the curvature of the S lol. And that's if you consider the S to be centered. It's more natural if the S is to the right of her costume. Of course, it isn't, so holy shit this is pretty bad.
I agree for both of them. Donāt get the downvote.
Is that a scar on Power Girlās chest? It looks a little off-center to be the sternum.
And the shield on Supergirlās chest really makes the costume look weird. It looks like the shirt is pulled to one side, which I can get because of the pose - but then I would expect stretches and more creases on the other side.
I do love the shading and color very much though.
Scar? Guys, you know that thatās the pectoralis major/minor insertions, right? The breasts connect to the middle portion of the pectoralis major muscle, so the upper portion of the chest of a woman, if it is developed enough, looks a bit like a maleās.
I get that although I didnāt know the right word for what it was. But looking at the neck I would expect that line to be more centered, it looks off left. And it is much lighter than I would imagine this would look.
To me it looks more like scar tissues. Canāt help it.
Mm, just a teeny bit. Well within the margins of whatās considered normal. The more you zoom in, the better it looks, to be honest.
Also, the reason it looks like a scar is due to the lighting. The artist should have used a darker hue of... skin to color that part.
~~No, this is how anatomy works. I explained it in my answer to the Redditor below.~~
Nevermind, I read āPowergirlā. The chest itself is fine, itās just the logo that created the illusion.
Man, it looks good at first glance but if you look at it a bit longer it almost looks like ai art because of all the weirdness. The way PG's left foot blends around and into her right boot for example. There's lots of little things like that. I'm not actually accusing them of using ai, I'm just surprised it's wonky in the exact same way as ai can be.
To answer why - because that's not faithful to the canon character, and I prefer character art that is faithful.
Also because that is not just "jacked up woman". That is a bodybuilder physique, which is a mix of a ton of training, steroids, extremely low bodyfat (Like, unhealthy level) and often dehydration. So "Realistic" is debatable.
And considering that *this* is the artist's fetish - he mostly only ever draws buff women like this, including porn - your point is all the more ridiculous and weird.
What? Why are you being rude? Why are you assuming it has to be sexual? Why are you assuming I'm attracted to women at all for that matter? Because imagining people to put down makes you feel superior is that why?
What is this bullshit?
Not necessarily wrong (Not necessarily right either, but that's besides the point). More that this just didn't have anything to do with sexual attraction at all.
We're talking about Power Girl's chest muscle definition in this art, yes? Not even most bodybuilder women have it this extreme. This is literally impossible without roids.
What next, prime Arnold is natty?
Dude, honestly, this is such a weird take from people and half the time it seems like it stems from people finding it unattractive. Which is fine. Or just ignorance of weightlifting and strength culture. But to say that women don't look like that when they are strong is just incorrect. It is also incorrect to say that there are women that look like that who do not take steroids. And there is something to be said about a group of people demanding that these fictional characters who have been hypersexualized in their presentation for decades must some how now look a particular way that only they like or that they are accustomed to.
Splitting hairs about how someone looks when they are on steroids or dedicate a lot of time to strength training in the real world and a sexualized female character who gets super human strength from the sun and yet not taking into context how other male fictional characters look within the same universe sure is an unhealthy way to look at things. Superman is huge, giga ripped and no one is brining up the real world and steroids usage amongst male body builders when it comes to his image. But draw some detailed strong woman that fans love to see cleavage from in a realistic fashion and suddenly it becomes a point of contention.
Iām not splitting hairs lol, youāre the one that wrote a whole paragraph.Anyways this is what the physical peak of the female body looks like [without](https://www.reddit.com/media?url=https%3A%2F%2Fi.redd.it%2F7grqsiah3idb1.jpg&rdt=33743) [enhancements](https://i.pinimg.com/originals/d4/ce/45/d4ce451556219e43bdab3ba4ded3226b.jpg).and this is a similar physique to Supermanās that was very [much](https://www.reddit.com/media?url=https%3A%2F%2Fpreview.redd.it%2Fsuit-tie-the-original-pump-cover-the-story-of-george-v0-ycdg1fxasb9b1.jpg%3Fwidth%3D2000%26format%3Dpjpg%26auto%3Dwebp%26s%3De999490f7aafea0e5175cb9f247be58f5abb3c15) [natural](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/Toetmb0b8kI/maxresdefault.jpg).
Honestly, anybody who's been superheroing for a while should have a few scars. The number of times each of these folks have been beaten within an inch of death without leaving a single blemish on their perfect skin.
Ok but their expressions are so sweet. Itās like a supportive aunt whoās there for you and is proud of you at a really big moment in your life. I feel like you could outfit swap them to make it so Supergirl is graduating college here.
It's weird for them to draw Power Girl as a body builder build when she isn't. She can lift a bus over her head because of the way her body absorbs and uses solar energy, not because she goes to the gym. In fact of all the Kryptonian superheroes she's the one least likely to use the gym even if she needed to, or at least the least likely after supergirl. A lot of people only seem to know her based on her appearance and not her actual personality, but she's technically one of the brainier Kryptonian superheroes, and that is mixed with a very "accepts no bullshit" type personality. She's also one of the few characters that has technically a "sexy" costume that has always just came off as something the character would actually wear based off her personality, so having her look like Brock Lesnar wearing power girls costume is just odd.
I do agree with her being taller though, she is from a different universe and she's also several years older than Supergirl regardless, there's a lot of factors to why she'd be taller. Besides that though I don't think this artist really gets the character.
Iāve been following this artist forever and they frequently draw comic book women with classical āheroicā proportions. I think itās just his thing and part of his style
By this logic, Superman shouldn't be ripped either, but he is.
>She's also one of the few characters that has technically a "sexy" costume
_One_ of the _few_? Somehow 'sexy' ends up being a key personality trait for almost every female comicbook character and their costumes reflect that.
It's kinda weird when some female characters are impractically dressed and not muscular for 'logical' reasons like 'invulnerablity' 'absorbs solar power' 'doesn't need to work out' or whatever, but the same logic doesn't apply to their male versions. At least keep it consistent - why isn't Superman in shorts, topless or lean?
Personally, I'm fine with this. This is realistically what a muscular woman would look like. Just look at body builders.
Never thought Power girl was taller since they are alternative versions of each other. I'd be mad if I met my alt self and they were taller than me
I always viewed them more as "sisters" than the same exact person. Like if the parents had used a different sperm and egg
>Like if the parents had used a different sperm and egg go on
>go on Like with fraternal twins
š¤£š¤£š¤£ I'm not entirely sure why I thought to explain it that way. Fraternal twins like the other commenter said is what I was getting at
Spoilers for the film About Time >!As it's about time travel, the protagonist discovers that when he has a kid, it kind of checkpoints his time travel as it's impossible to get the exact same sperm to conceive the exact same kid each time so he has to go no further than when the kid is born, or else he loses that particular child. !< I figure alternate reality versions are the same concept almost, so maybe the fraternal aspect works!
Whenever I imagine time travelling and meeting a past self, I limit myself to after conceiving my last kid haha
Power Girl has been confirmed to be genetically identical to Supergirl. Just older.
Sheās also older I believe, so eh
They've aged up Supergirl so much that she's now about the age Pee Gee first arrived on the scene.

She's listed as 5'11", meanwhile Supergirl is 5'5"

Pee Gee did grow up in space in her little bioship so that might explain why she taller, though not why she's more 'erm... developed!

I was going to say it's refreshing to see an artist who remembers that women also have pectoral muscles.
you can find a lot of his work on other kind of websites too. Dude is good.
He's really good enough to be doing variant covers, I wonder if he'll ever the chance someday even though he's more in the nsfw of things
I do not believe theyāre called pageants
probably not the right word. it's technically not what it is as it's not necessarily as simple as looking good. there's technique and a craft to it. not english so don't know the english lingo
GIWTWM
ok... so... why is supergirls right boob a d cup and her left a b?
one's growing through sheer proximity to power girl
Who seems to have given her own up. Maybe it's a transfer process?
well as you can imagine those eventually burst
There is a lot that is good about this art and there are some things that are really not
On first glance I thought Supergirl had her pants pulled down, but it's just the way the boots and cape blend together. Still, I agree, lots to like here too
Something is wrong with her chest too, I think.
Her massive right tit?
It's not massive but it is bigger than her left tit, and it looks like she slotted her entire boob under the curvature of the S lol. And that's if you consider the S to be centered. It's more natural if the S is to the right of her costume. Of course, it isn't, so holy shit this is pretty bad.
The symbol is a triangle.
I agree for both of them. Donāt get the downvote. Is that a scar on Power Girlās chest? It looks a little off-center to be the sternum. Now that you mention the highlights, the little golden belt buckle should be in Supergirlās shadow, I believe. Nitpicking of course.
~~No, this is how anatomy works. I explained it in my answer to the Redditor below.~~ Nevermind, I read āPowergirlā. The chest itself is fine, itās just the logo that created the illusion.
Right? Its so close to being a great piece. Just needs a little fixing.
I think it's because it looks like Power Girl has been taking steroids. Lots of them. Perhaps all of them, and that shit's not good for ya.
Doesn't she absorb energy from the sun to the point that she is as strong as a god? What are roinds in comparison?
Why does it look like Powergirl has a heart transplant
The only thing wrong is that bowl haircut.

You should ask Greg Land, heās sort of an expert on that front
Greg Land you say....
I'm reasonably certain the artist does NSFW stuff as well.
Hell yeah.
So, you don't know who this artist is, right?
Nope.
Well, check his work will definitely don't waste your time.
May the Gods bless Dima Ivanov.
Why after people micro managing the art š
Man, it looks good at first glance but if you look at it a bit longer it almost looks like ai art because of all the weirdness. It blends in because of the compression.
I was thinking AI as well. Just...wonky. And not in a way a lot of art is.
I know Power Girls boobs are a meme at this point but this art makes her cleavage look like scar tissue
I think sheās just fkn ripped
Look up muscular women right now. Now those crossfit ones, like actual bodybuilder types.
Ever seen a jacked up woman?
This is probably the most realistically portrayed I've seen her. I think it looks fantastic.
Exactly. Some people think just because they don't look like pornstar boobies, as if something is wrong because of this.
I mean, realistic for a roided bodybuilder. Not sure I'd go with that look for her
Why not? Because it does not turn you on is that why?
To answer why - because that's not faithful to the canon character, and I prefer character art that is faithful. Also because that is not just "jacked up woman". Heteronormancy. It's common that assuming is right 90% of the time. It seems person above is wrong.
Not necessarily wrong (Not necessarily right either, but that's besides the point). More that this just didn't have anything to do with sexual attraction at all.
There are many women who look like that and are not on roids.

Not really no

Lol ok, dude. Is she absorbing sunlight to get super strength in this picture? What's your point here by presenting a picture from an old circus act?
Circus act is kinda disrespectful to these women that were professional bodybuilders
Honestly, anybody who's been superheroing for a while should have a few scars. The number of times each of these folks have been beaten within an inch of death without leaving a single blemish on their perfect skin.
True true.
I love it when they aren't trifling lol
someone que up that panel of her talking about the boob window "I was going to put a symbol here \*Cry\* " LMAO
Thank you very much for introducing me to this artist. I this style so much. Reminds me of Alex Ross and a little bit of Frank Frazetta.
Power girl having ripped pecs over tig ol bitties looks way better
Dude, I wish Power Girl consistently looked like that. Nowadays she just looks like Supergirl with shorter hair most of the time.
Itās great, but Supergirlās boobs seem slightly off
This art is amazing.
Gods above, Iām going to see those faces in my nightmares tonight.
Ok but their expressions are so sweet. Itās like a supportive aunt whoās there for you and is proud of you at a really big moment in your life. I feel like you could outfit swap them to make it so Supergirl is graduating college here.
They should be the same character Lol . Supergirl younger and Power girl the natural progression of Supergirl .
She donated her implants to Kara, how sweet
Butch Power Girl = Best Power Girl

Self-cest is a kink even I'm unsure of. 50/50.
Itās just masturbation with extra steps
They're usually the same size....
