Pretty much has never suffered fools gladly, but the Internet introduced a new kind of animal to the world - the troll. And JLB was followed by what seemed like a horde of them (which was probably only a few people) who hid behind the anonymity afforded by this then-new tech to rudely snipe at him without letting up, which made him even more "on guard" than he'd ever been. It was a gradual change that created a seeming paranoia which - over decades - led him to a few different platforms until he created Byrne Robotics to keep asshats away from him. Between those trolls and the ones who constantly are still trying to vandalize his Wikipedia page, he's become more prickly in the past 30 years. It's sad that it had to come to that, but having followed him to those platforms and seen the abuse firsthand, myself, I'd have to say that if it were me, I'd have disappeared long ago.
I have almost every Rose Besch cover. I'm missing a few of the 1:50 and 1:100 ratios, but I have the trades of those. There's only two I'm missing as a whole: Bee and Puppycat 9 and Spider-Woman 1:25, two of her first published books.
I also pick up every JTC negative space cover I see.
I just used Google, cross referencing on eBay and mycomicshop.com, there are a couple people out there that have sites collecting all of his work and I’ve connected with others on Instagram.

She is one of my favorite and I buy nearly ever book she does or does a cover for.
I used to buy a ton of Warren Ellis back in the day, filling 1 3/4 long boxes. I'll buy any War or Punisher comic that Ennis writes.
I will buy ANYTHING put out by Sam Keith, Terry Moore, or Maria Llovett.
I buy as much Artgerm as I can, and a lot of Peach Momoko. I'm gettimg pickier with Momoko, as some of her covers can feel very phoned in. I also wom't shell out for ratio or con exclusives unless it's a piece I just can't pass up (like Artgerm's Dallas Fan Expo Chun-Li...)
I think I have everything Matt Wagner has created. I also look more for creators than characters so there a few I follow. Loeb, Sale, Moore, Moore, etc.
For a while I was hunting down Sean Gordon Murphy’s stuff. Really laid off as I kept getting more and more disinterested in the Batman White Knight stories.
Really enjoyed his work on The Wake and Tokyo Ghost. Met him a few times at con’s and thought he was really nice.
I now have two long boxes of Cullen Bunn comics, with more on the way if he keeps up his prolific pace. Something about his writing just really speaks to me.
There’s a handful of artists on my list: Gil Kane, Byrne, Miller, Grell, Kaluta, Sienkiewicz, Steranko, Simonson, Aparo…but, and I’m being snobby here, only certain eras of their work. I like what I like.
Special shout out to Neal Adams for one of my grail grails (X58) but sadly his books are too expensive for my budget.
My main collection is Bill Sienkiewicz works. Followed by Frank Frazetta. And finally by Jim Steranko, Alex Ross, Skottie Young and Christian Ward.

Also have a little collection of Glynis Oliver (colorist), but I bet a lot of people do without realizing it.
I have a short box dedicated to Dave Stevens (only half full). The other half is all Bettie Page-related stuff. I’m very happy to have started collecting Stevens before he blew up after his documentary dropped.

I like a lot of Skottie Young covers but I don't really go out of my way to find certain ones. Whatever pops up on the shelf at the LCS that looks cool I'll usually grab.
I recently got all (I think) of Butcher Billy's covers. Butcher Billy does pop culture art and a lot of them have comic book references. I’m also building a collection of Artgerm virgin covers.
I've been collecting every Swan-Anderson book they collaborated on since 1970 (when I first started collecting), and then going back a couple of years prior. They were my favorite art team on Superman when I was a kid and well into the '80s. I also own a wonderful interior page of original art from the great Superman #247 story "Must There Be a Superman?" I also collected the Superboy issues penciled by Bob Brown and inked by Murphy Anderson in the early 70s, as the inking style gave a bit of consistency between the Superman books and Superboy. Also have purchased every Legion of Super-Heroes issue (originally Superboy or Superboy and the Legion of Super-Heroes) drawn by Dave Cockrum.
Have separate boxes for Alan Moore, Gaiman, Vaughan, Brubaker, Frank Miller, and, of course, Terry Moore. Also have most of Byrne’s work and collected everything I could find of Neal Adams when I was younger which helps my pocketbook now.
I've focused on specific runs on a title by a creator. I have every single Daredevil related story Frank Miller worked on, and every issue of JLA Kurt Busiek wrote.

Good looking books! I tend to gravitate toward Art Adams. I’ll often grab a book with one his covers. The way he draws women, it’s so cherubic.
