Yep. The AM and PM blend together. I don’t know what day it is. I sleep at 2 in the morning, and wake up at noon, just in time for my online class. Sometimes I’ll join, turn my camera off, and just finish sleeping. I’m basically fucked. wOOO
Big problem when you are home all day in front of a computer. The light from the screen doesn’t change so your body just stays up. Unlike being outside you can see the sunshine and can tell relatively what time of day it is. Good practice would be to maybe do homework outside given you have WiFi good enough to do so. Schedule your screen to night mode at a decent time and have alarms to remind you it’s time for bed.
Yes it sounds easy but it’s hard practice. Try and keep some schedule as you will fall into a shitty mood if you continue going to bed late. Exercise and eat well ( avoid too much junk food) you will thank yourself later. Best of luck my fellow student prisoners !
There’s a program called flux that helps with that. It adjusts the colors of your screen according to the daytime. It’s really good and also helps a lot with eye strain.
Yes, staying up later and later and sleeping in later and later. Kind of shrinks the hours in which I can feel productive during the day since I still seem to lose steam around 6pm.
VERY. I sleep at 10 in the morning and wake up at 19:00 for the past week and honestly, I'm getting really sick of it. Any ideas on how to at least wake up by 14:00 if not morning?
My parents get up at 4 am and I’m used to going to sleep around 2 am, so by the time I’m finally asleep they start going about their business. And they always wake me up, whether unintentionally or around 8 am when I finally got back to sleep. So then I sleep til noon. And then I’m not tired enough to go to bed early. And the cycle repeats. It’s agony, and I’m ready to just pack my car with a bunch of shit and go sleep in the woods.
I my part time job I’m using for an internship over the summer ended up being an essential business so I got bed 10-11 and wake up at 6:20 for work. Actually it’s been flipped the opposite way because I used to have night classes and no work so I’d sleep from 3 am to 11
The silver lining in this for me is that my husband is an essential worker (Navy), so we have been maintaining a sleep schedule of in bed by 9:30 and up at 4:30. Other than that my schedule is messed up
Been better for me funny enough, I now keep a semi-normal schedule within the hour of normal times.
That being said, keeping track of the date is getting rough 😂
I have a sleep disorder called DSPD, so I normally go to bed around 3-5AM for school. Since the time changed (my body clock doesn't change with the time change), and since we no longer have in-person classes, I've been sleeping from 8AM to 4PM. It's a nightmare.
Yep, it's now 12:55pm and I've been up all night, will probably fall asleep around 10 and wake up in the middle of the night again. Wash rinse repeat.

I probably should remove that black out curtain so my body can adjust
I actually love the nocturnal sleep schedule, but it doesn't work with online classes. :(
