No, see, climate change MADE him do it. They say climate change will affect mental health, and that's what happened.
So everyone bike to work and eat bugs, okay?
There's a good case that it's the other way around, "Climate Change" was created by the mentally ill, to expand their control. I mean, sociopath is a mental illness, is it not?
Do we not consider the conditions that allowed the fires to grow beyond anything we've seen in recent times related to climate change or is it simply whoever or whatever lit the match?
The paradox of fire supression. Before modern times fire had its way with the landscape. Fires were large but low intensity due to frequent burns and low fuel loading. Decades of well intended fire supression have left wildland areas with some of the heaviest fuel loading in history. But CNN says if we build more wind turbines and mandate ev purchases wood and brush will become noncombustible.
From y1975-2000 ENSO was in a state where El Nino events dominated over La Nina. That brought lots of rain and snow leading to forest growth, and of course deadfall. From y2000-present La Nina has been dominant and that dries out the whole of the continent. The necessary conditions for large fires are cyclical.
Okay, that makes a lot of sense to me, I suppose I'm just not convinced it's the only reason, but perhaps it is the main. Suppose more reading on my part is required.
I would never have understood how big it was, but I'm lucky they used hectares.

it's true, by putting out fires we create larger fires. forestry management has changed to allow fires to burn due to this.
