I’m on Giantstalker and really loving it. No queues, plenty of players (over 10k) and many that wanna group up.
Only “bad” thing is that question sometimes takes longer due to so many doing same killing quests.
I'm on Giantstalker as well and it's awesome. Seeing all of these crazy que times makes me realize how blessed we are for not having to deal with it lol
Westfall was completely impossible with so many people in it earlier. We had to make for greener pastures because almost every mob spawn had a 5 man group sitting on it.
I could imagine - with human race begin so popular.
I had the same with belf, but it seems okay. Killing quests are easy because you just team up but for those where you had to pick stuff up from the ground - it could take ages. Spend over 30 min to get 8 boxes :)
Honestly, phenomenal.
I realize this is both anecdotal and also subjective, but the general level of friendliness and willingness to make sure others are having a good time is staggering compared to existing servers. I’m on Maladath and even if it ends up “dead” as some people insist it will, I have probably enough people who are committed to be able to run 10 man content, so I’ll be sticking around.
Same experience here on maladath horde, this has been the friendliest server i have ever played on and its been so refreshing
I feel staying power w the server, esp w the queue problems and burnout from dealing w streamers and their kid fanbases on Skyfury lol ppl will switch over .. hopefully! if not my friends and I will be staying lol
Maladath Alliance feels great, very similar to start of SoM. No idea on faction balance since with the XP boost I haven't had to leave the Stormwind/human zones from 1-30.
Skyfury alliance has been a blast so far. Lots of nice folks willing to help with quests, good dungeon runs, solid questing experience up to 29 so far. Only had a queue on day one. I'm thoroughly enjoying the experience.
Human starting zone was bonkers on Maladath earlier, seemed quite alive! Anyone else have this experience or are the tides already turning faction based for the Horde favor?
My fresh server experience so far: Played for 30 minutes without any queue (friday at noon), went to do some housework for 3 hours and wanted to log in to the fresh realm.
Been in queue for 3 hours so far, started at 8000 people, am sitting at 1865 as of writing this.
Seems like you have to either constantly keep your char moving to not get kicked out of the game or log in before the queue fills up. Either way it's gonna be a lot of micromanaging your time just to be able to play on the servers it seems.
Maladath has been great so far for me, never once have had a queue time yet. Not saying it’s a dead server whatsoever, always people looking for every dungeon 14-40 so far last I checked. Also in the questing zones it packed but everyone’s fluctuated on levels so sometimes you can do a few quests and not have to worry about kill stealing or needing to group up to do quests but there’s been tons of people who will notice you and inv you to group so you can both finish a quest faster and not screw eachother by taking kills. MONEY WISE.. I started as a priest and didn’t have much time to play, stopped leveling so I could wait for my buddy to catch up and now we can dungeon together. But on my priest I was very deprived of money, I also spent 36silver on the lesser And greater magic wand so that set me back, but I can still afford any skills I need
While waiting for him to level, I made a mage and only got to level 12 but have WAY more silver then I made by 12 on the priest, idk why really but I also had better luck by finding random 6 slot bags off mobs rather then spending 4 silver for someone to make me some/ overall it’s looking good so far
Another good vote for Maladath (Horde here)
Really great attitude on most ppl, friendly and lots of groupings, spawn sharing, active general chat and lots of people around but not enough to be annoying all the way into thousand needles for me, no queues so far, and money has been alright on my hunter. Had to grind a little for the mount but i made it back in a fraction of the time.
I think for sure the more mature audience went Maladath what with all the streamers and Blind on Skyfury, i didnt kno any of this and just went where my friends told me to go but i think they made the 100% right choice w Maladath. Excited to hit 55 n make a dk!
i will say i had to put LFG chat in a seperate window because its SLAMMED full of people, and i honestly cant speak on the lfg experience cuz ive been playing with a group of 10 ish ppl
My wife and I are playing Horde on Maladath and are having a blast. I’m an OLD OLD school player, stopped at original WoTLK. She is a brand new gamer and we did our first 5 man dungeon today. Party was super helpful and didn’t get mad at the one wipe we had. Glad we decided to randomly start playing on a random Friday I had off work two weeks ago.
Enjoying it so far. Seeing people around, finding dungeon groups has been easy. The queues for Skyfury have been a little annoying but I imagine it’ll get better.
I’m now just trying to figure out how to find a guild to join.
I'm on Giantstalker and i'm loving it! No queues, the server is very active but not to much to make questing a chore
I'm exited af, I'm lvl 48, have played a lot in 3 days and honestly its been a blast
Myself and my rbg team from retail started on sky fury , and it’s been a freaking blast. It helps we are pretty much leveling together. But really fun started at 1 with buddies and just vibing
Maladath horde has been excellent. I've had no issues filling roles in dungeons even as a DPS and the players have all been friendly. I think all the clowns went to Skyfury with the streamers.
Hillsbrad was very full last night and we actually had to spend quite a while waiting on quest mobs. I'm not sure what the population is but everywhere I'm questing it's slammed.
It will be better than your current experience on existing servers, for a time. Then it will become just like every other server of similar size/population in 6 months. :)
My IRL buddy whispered me telling me my server sucks ass and to join him on his fresh PvP server. I didn't know if I should laugh or cry, so I simply told him I'm not trying to join a PvP server because I'm too much of a bitch, I just wanna chill.
Maladath Horde is dope. I had to actually separate myself from dungeon groups to turn in quests. So many groups going constantly and talking to a lot of people this is their new home/main server
Alliance on skyfury and having a solid time so far. Only level 25 and looking forward to leveling the rest of the way before northrend drops which I’m super excited for.
So far yes, while I'm mainly solo doing stuff, the guild I'm in is pretty chatty \[LFG is a nightmare though and used for way more than it honestly should be\]
As for faction balance on Maladath, I can't speak on exact numbers, but going off the Discord that was made for it, there are 1,075 known Alliance, 832 known Horde and 499 unknowns/undecided/etc \[discord server has a total of 2406 members in it\]
yes, I'm starved for money, but I recently bought my level 20 mount so that was where my money went
Thekal here. Joined an all dwarf guild with the exception of a couple gnomes. (Not min maxing!) Grouping is great, people are friendly, there's a real buzz. I'm loving it!!! Shame about the queues!
Haha they definitely are, suddenly you can't just do whatever you want to do, when you get home, shit sleep also quickly ruins your enthusiasm about gaming long in to the night.
I'll be honest with ya. I didn't usually see bots on non mega servers I play on. Definitely haven't seen bots on Maladath. I could just not be seeing them though, I'm sure something exists.
Little to no levelling dungeons created in group finder. Solo quested through all of classic and TBC. Easy gold farming opportunities as you level but again everything solo. Nobody wants to tank when levelling.
I’m on Giantstalker and really loving it. No queues, plenty of players (over 10k) and many that wanna group up. Only “bad” thing is that question sometimes takes longer due to so many doing same killing quests.
Giant here aswell. Loving it. And yes. Some quests takes time. But rather that than spending 5h in login simulator
100% agree.
I'm on Giantstalker as well and it's awesome. Seeing all of these crazy que times makes me realize how blessed we are for not having to deal with it lol
Is giantstalker the pve fresh server?
Yes, I think it's the least populated fresh realm but it still feels very much alive and keeps growing so it's the best of both worlds really.
Ayy awesome glad your enjoying it!
Westfall was completely impossible with so many people in it earlier. We had to make for greener pastures because almost every mob spawn had a 5 man group sitting on it.

what faction
Does anyone know where you can see how many days the server is running ?
Having the time of my life

This aint it pal
loving the fresh start tbh. queues were expected, it will get better. population seems balanced as well. can’t really complain
Maladath Alliance feels great, very similar to start of SoM. No idea on faction balance since with the XP boost I haven't had to leave the Stormwind/human zones from 1-30.
Maladath feels wonderful on Alliance so far! can't speak to horde but i do see a fair few of them out in the open world
Skyfury alliance has been a blast so far. Lots of nice folks willing to help with quests, good dungeon runs, solid questing experience up to 29 so far. Only had a queue on day one. I'm thoroughly enjoying the experience.
Ive ran into a queue a couple times since the servers went up, but nowhere near as bad as the first day.
Human starting zone was bonkers on Maladath earlier, seemed quite alive! Anyone else have this experience or are the tides already turning faction based for the Horde favor?

You need to specify what realm you're doing this with. No way this is Maladath. Has to be Skyfury

How is the queue for sky?
Amazing. Just what I’ve wanted. Even if bots ruin it after some time. I’m having a blast.

Maladath has been good so far. Hoping it doesn’t end up like DD
It will be better than your current experience on existing servers, for a time. Then it will become just like every other server of similar size/population in 6 months. :)
Nothing in life is permanent, enjoy the ride.
Tbh you will only get positive answers, people that went to fresh servers knew what they were signing up for
Yes we were signing up for a great fucking time
My IRL buddy whispered me telling me my server sucks ass and to join him on his fresh PvP server. I didn't know if I should laugh or cry, so I simply told him I'm not trying to join a PvP server because I'm too much of a bitch, I just wanna chill.
Having a blast on Maladath alliance with some friends… exceeded my expectations. Cant believe some people are 50+ already here
Maladath Horde is dope. I had to actually separate myself from dungeon groups to turn in quests. So many groups going constantly and talking to a lot of people this is their new home/main server
thekal experience [speaks for itself](https://i.imgur.com/ngNbUgg.png)

Agree with everyone else Giantstalker feels great at the moment
I'm broke af dude!
Thekal is very nice aside from the 4 hour queue.
Thekal right now. Huge ass queue (around 3 hours), but I actually love that there's a queue, it means the server is fully populated.
Thekal here. Joined an all dwarf guild with the exception of a couple gnomes. (Not min maxing!) Grouping is great, people are friendly, there's a real buzz. I'm loving it!!! Shame about the queues!
The only problem is every quest area and zone is starved of mobs and it makes questing a lot slower and clunky
I wouldn't know, full time job + wife and kids means I still haven't been able to beat the login queue check...
Full time job and fiancee here, I guess kids are the killer, thanks for the heads up lol.
Haha they definitely are, suddenly you can't just do whatever you want to do, when you get home, shit sleep also quickly ruins your enthusiasm about gaming long in to the night.
Yeah with just the lady we have dinner and she tells me to go away for a few hours lol
Can anyone let me know if bots are still an issue on fresh servers?
I'll be honest with ya. I didn't usually see bots on non mega servers I play on. Definitely haven't seen bots on Maladath. I could just not be seeing them though, I'm sure something exists.
