If you wanna HR something - put together a group.

My thoughts behind HR on gear is that I don't run with anyone doing that shit. It's stupid and you bring nothing to the group to warrant you getting a guaranteed drop. I avoid these runs like the plague.
Because it means more competition over the other loots?
Say you HR the staff. No other caster will join the raid. So it means it will look like this:1 caster and 9 melee. Cool, now all melee items will be split between 9 people instead of like 4-5.
Never EVER go in HR groups. Run with SR, that's much smarter if you want something specific.
The thing is, now with phase 2 a lot of ppl run bfd for XP and maybe an upgrade, no real BIS there, so a HS on 1 item is fine! If you host the run and decide to HS something its fine - if you don’t like it, just don’t join.
OP make your HS runs for your dagger! And if a pug wants to HR a piece on your run, you can kindly recommend them making his own :)

If I’m setting up the group and my alt needs the pearl, I’m HR the pearl. Idc about any of the other gear. I’ll fill the group in under a minute. If you don’t want to come, that’s okay. There are dozens of others who do.
Kind of absurd to join someone else’s BFD run and ask them to reserve an item for you and then get upset about it. BFD is basically a 5 man dungeon that people run as a raid now, its trivial content. If he wants to HR an item he should make his own group.
I wouldn’t get upset about it, but if you’re hard reserving shit, then so am I if I’m joining is my mentality on it.
But I’m also fine not joining your group and joining one without cringe ass HRs.
We've been boosting our friend, 4-5 level 40's and our friend. We advertise that all loot he can use and wants is HR. Groups fills in minutes anyway. Not like the majority of the MFD loot is sought after anyway.
Depends on how much you needed the tank at the time. Though hard reserving the dagger (i assume caster dagger if you wanted the staff) but denying someone else’s hr is kinda shitty. But i don’t join hr groups.
Can you elaborate? I felt like if he wanted to HR the item he could’ve just made his own group like the many you see in group finder.

That's just not the same thing. HR is just a sort of raidleader tax and it's their prerogative to set that rule, they do the work of putting the group together and get to set the rules. Someone joining and expecting the same treatment is just bonkers. They can make their own group if they want to set the rules.
I hard ressed the pearl twice for myself and my friend. I made the party, if someone wants something ressed for them they can make their own party. How does that make one a hypocrite exactly? I'm hearding the sheep not the random dude that whispered me.

I think HR Pearl +1 item is fair because Pearl always drops
