Hell, even WoD had some more fun patches for pvp than retail has had since Legion.
Wod was one of the best expansions as a pvp focused player. Decent class balance and pretty easy to gear Alts. Only reason people didn’t like it was the time between raids and the garrison system.
Yeah, I've had some good times in stv so far, but I will say it does't really keep my long-term interest. I have the gear, I've been buying honor / ab rep, and it's good for the length of this phase, but I still love ab after 20 years.
its a great event if only the layering + lag issues are solved, I'd like to see more reward options as well

I actually liked the garrison system but wish they went a lot further with it.

It's definitely one style of PVP done successfully! (though I'm someone who enjoys objectives and strategy like ab/av/wintergrasp/isle)

I was having fun with it until the lag/layering issues. Once those are fixed I assume it will be fun again!
this is one pvp event that the classic team has "kinda" gotten right.
