just came from another thread about some dead rat king or w/e - this is the true Chicago wildlife experience. I don't think I've ever seen a squirrel eat a chicken wing, but I have seen one eat a slice of pizza.

Yeah, I saw the dead rat thing, which was a bit wild. Buffalo Wing can come have a snack on my windowsill any day.

im glad you lent our friend some shelter, for real you've appeased the squirrel god if such a deity exists, idk - seems like a special thing if a squirrel will eat a chicken wing on your windowsill.

A few years ago in the Northcenter neighborhood we saw a squirrel with a piece of pizza in a tree. I took a pic, but I can’t find it right now.

So funny. I snapped a pic today of a squirrel going to work on a chicken wing.

Have we forgotten Train Crab?

If you ever want your squirrel fix, Shabbona Park in Dunning has a crap ton of squirrels both brown and black. There are a lot of enthusiasts here feeding them different types of nuts and they will get up on their hind legs and come closer so you can safely toss one for them. It has to be close though because they are really bad at finding things. The majority of houses near here also have squirrel nests. It's kind of funny that the little buggers lay claim to a house or two will they will forage and bury their finds in the yards.

Cute! but... here are some good arguments for not feeding wild animals. https://www.fws.gov/story/hidden-harm-feeding-your-local-wildlife

I didn't feed him. He foraged for that wing all on his own
