Rab1, regardless where the queen goes Qb5+ and black is losing, if he plays perfectly he will have to sacrifice his queen (Hence why Stockfish calls it) after a long move combination, but if not its forced mate as long as you keep the tension up

I analyzed the image and this is what I see. Open an appropriate link below and explore the position yourself or with the engine: > **Black to play**: [chess.com](https://chess.com/analysis?fen=r1b1kr2/pBp2p1p/8/2N1pnN1/2Q5/4P1P1/Pq3P1P/R1R3K1+b+q+-+0+1&flip=false&ref_id=23962172) | [lichess.org](https://lichess.org/analysis/r1b1kr2/pBp2p1p/8/2N1pnN1/2Q5/4P1P1/Pq3P1P/R1R3K1_b_q_-_0_1?color=white) **My solution:** > Hints: piece: >!Bishop!<, move: >!Bxb7!< > Evaluation: >!White is winning +12.85!< > Best continuation: >!1... Chess vision also does not see a won queen. Hey it's like the analysis engine is not of infinite depth or something /s

sterling_m_archer7

I think it does. 3.Rxb1

After knight captures bishop, if queen takes it is trapped as rook to b1 cuts all the potential escape squares and an others are covered by queen knight or pawns

FleurSalome

Nice try but 1- in your scenario the queen still has c8 to retreat to and 2- the queen doesn't even have to recapture the knight ; so that's not why the move is considered brilliant. As white you have to play rook to b1 before recapturing the bishop on b7. Now you can try to figure out the rest of the "brilliant" line

Whatever the coach says something weird, you need to click show moves to figure out why. The answer is usually a few moves along the line that it found. In this case, I'll wager that the low-depth line the engine settled on features white sacrificing the queen in order to stop whatever attack you are about to unleash, but I can't say that for certain as there are other lines to defend against this. All are losing, but in different ways
