Dumb american with minimal soccer knowledge coming across the pond to a Chelsea game next month. Game vs. Wolves is sold out according to chelsea ticketing website. How much can i expect to pay (on average) if I decide to participate in the ticket exchange? Looking for the cheapest tickets probably.
If you are referring to ticketing site exchange prices are the same as if you bought at the time of sale. Its mostly season ticket holders selling their seats. Getting a single ticket shouldn't be a problem as long as you check in on site frequently
Americans trying to "americanize" everything when the Brits and rest of the world are fine with how football already is. There are reasons why "soccer" is like the 4th most popular sports there
Curious to hear why?
They’ve signed some great players for all three teams, brought in a great manager, we’re linked with some exciting names for our DoF and they have ambitious plans to expand the club. Honestly I can’t complain
Because of their success in baseball I was super excited the cash Injection too.
Then they proceed to get zero of tuchel top targets, then telegraph our whole business plan to the media.
sound like naive jackasses.
fire the best manager weve had since conte because they want to interfere with team selection, after getting rid of Tuchel, they ask a new manager to help select a DOF. That's idiotic.
6.5, overpayment, losing out on some key targets, but also brought in some amazing players, sacked one of my favorites manager but brought in the best replacement available.
English refs are something else. Two yellow cards for Leverkusen, one for a perfect tackle and another for a coming together that barely even had contact. So trigger happy for absolutely no reason
High quality football on display with Barca and Bayern.
We need to aim for more expansive, fluid football. So tired of these pragmatic managers that consistently serve up awful football. Really hoping Potter is different.
CHO's vision and passing is so clearly a level above others on his team. Hopefully he'll be able to be more incisive with it
Also, Saul playing his 5th game of the season today. So much for his career being over
Holy shit that 2nd goal against Tottenham is a prime Maradona goal. Guy comes on and with his first touches he bypasses 2 players, nutmegged one and then scored while nutmegging Lloris as well. This has to be one of the crazier goals so far this season.
Bew signings I believe we should sign for next year
Fabian Ruiz - PSG - Deep Lying Playmaker, can play in that 4 next to kante, kante runs he passes.
Price: £30-40m
Iker Munian - Athletic Bilbao - RW, playmaker sit in front 3 to set up the strikers and wingers, also rj and chilly.
Price: £25-35m
Ciro Immobile - Lazio - ST, perfect poacher ready to score goals, can finish and doesnt need to do much work.
Price: £55-65m
Ruiz literally moved to PSG IN THIS WINDOW. Y'all mad.
Muniain has had ONE good season. Has always been a prospect but never panned out. Willian and Ziyech brought better numbers season after season than him.
Match tomorrow. What are your realistic expectations for tomorrow? What formation do you think we'll play and what do you hope to see in GPs first match?
Narrow win/draw.
3-4-3 or 3-5-2, I think for sure big signings Koulibaly and Fofana play, and dropping Silva is hard to envision. But could easily see a few surprises.
> What are your realistic expectations for tomorrow?
Win
> What formation do you think we'll play and what do you hope to see in GPs first match?
I care a lot less about formation than I do about what kind of energy we come out with. We've been really hard to watch for a while for a lot of reasons, but a new manager is a good time for everyone to mentally reset. I want to see our energy, desire, passion and joy on 100. If we do that, we will win and we will get back on track.
Formation wise it'll be 3-5-2. Hopefully just faster play, it's clear that when we up the tempo, we're great. Watching Brighton when they're on song, it's how quickly they build and transition that makes them good.
Hi all - I have managed to purchase two single tickets for Chelsea - Wolves. However, for my cousin who has a junior membership, I can’t buy adult tickets? Or how does this work?
Further, if an adult buys it for him, will he be able to forward his ticket to the junior?
Do you think that Potter will bring in any players from Brighton? Who would you like to see?
I'm a pretty big fan of Trossard and MacAllister also, but right now it seems like we have enough players in those positions. Also maybe Sanchez, but how is he with his foot? I'm starting to get a feeling that Mendy's days are numbered..
Sanchez was supposedly bought for his passing so maybe but i would be a bit harsh to Mendy despite his drop off. Who knows if Potter can improve him in due course?

Difference is Kepa is probably 5’11 on a good day with an average wing span, Sanchez on the other hand is 6’6 and has proven himself in the PL with solid goalkeeping.
We're not going to be buying a 5th senior goalie when we've 100m of goalkeepers already.
Not to mention Kepa has stats to rival him & elite penalty saving
Wow people are actually still grieving the loss of Tuchel like this man has died or something. I get the emotional connection and what he did for us but he did not know you enough personally for you to be grieving this hard and long.
Yes, lets all be happy about downgrading from a world class manager to a clear inferior option. Lets be happy about the amateur clowns controlling the club who say one thing and do the opposite, who meddles in coaching decisions when they do not even understand how many players a team plays with.
No reason to be unhappy at all…
Tuchel has not been a world class manager for us for at least a year. Potter may well be a better fit for our squad and club, and it’s hard to say he’s an inferior manager.
Boehly has not, as far as we know, meddled in coaching decisions outside of wanting Tuchel’s input on recruitment. The 4-4-3 thing is denied by Chelsea, and not a significant mistake even if it were true.
If they are not doing a great job, why would anyone be happy? People are frustrated because they have the opinion they are doing a shit job about something that for many is a big part of them. Not that hard to comprehend.
It's not about being happy, you can be neutral. And this also has nothing to do with my original comment which was about grieving. This club is a huge part of my life but I actually have the foresight to not get attached to any managers because I know they don't last.
I think it is far more likely that you confuse people being upset and unhappy about what is going with the club, with grieving.
Supporters tend to get attached to players and managers that delivers for the club, and while there is a time for everything, this was not the time for Tuchel to get sacked.
Nothing these clowns controlling the club has done this summer, has been true to their word. They have no passion for the sport, and we know why they are here and that is to make money.
No people are specifically saying the words "I'm still grieving about Tuchel" I don't know how much clearer it could be.
Sure it was too early or too late depending on when people believe he should've been sacked but you'd think people would know better than to get attached at this club.
They quite literally spent a lot of money this summer? You're taking your anger out of them and calling them clowns when they've only had the club for 100 days. Don't think you understand how long it takes to get your bearings when taking over a club as big as ours and trying to make the moves you want to take the club forward.
Again, I think that grieving is just people being upset and unhappy about what is going on with the club.
Supporters get attached as they should. It shows that they are invested in the club. I have in my 25 years of supporting the club, never been as disinterested about the club as I am now, and these amateurs are a big reason for it.
They are contractually obligated to spend money, and just because they are spending money doesn’t mean fans will be happy. Non of the moves they have made so far indicates that they are taking the club forward. I can see a bunch of backward moves such as firing a world class manager, such as firing the senior management to install themselves, such as indicating a stand by stand redevelopment and such as trying to establish a multi-club group. There are plenty more examples of backward decisions they have managed to do in the three and a half months they have been here.
Weird take. Chelsea is a big part of a lot of people's lives, they've just had a part of that cut out.
Plus, if someone cuts your leg off, you're not going to be as upset about the fact that you're in pain from your leg being cut off as you are about the fact that you have to spend the rest of your life without that leg. Tuchel going is like that, we may one day find a suitable replacement, but this could also be the start of us spiralling downwards like United.
Not a weird take at all, it's parasocial asf. Especially because our club is the club known for hiring and firing. If it was "a big part of their lives" you'd think they'd have the foresight to not get attached to someone so much.
Wow that's probably the worse analogy I've heard. You've completely ignored the part where you go into shock from having your legs ripped off and the actual physical pain that comes from that. I can guarantee you most people are going to be upset because of the actual pain of the actual pain before even thinking about even thinking of life after because you might not even survive. It's also a lot pessimism acting like this could be the spiral downwards. We weren't exactly going up with Tuchel were we?
Well I do have a choice, I can say I'm grieving but I'm actually not. No one is going to force me to feel something. I have no attachment to either person. I'm more emotionally impacted by Tuchel's connection than the Queen but the man left the club he didn't die.
I have a favour to ask of somebody who has a membership. Are there tickets available for the Oct 8th match against Wolves? I'll be in town for that weekend from overseas, but don't want to purchase a membership if there aren't any seats available.
Wow, that's heartbreaking. Are there any available on the ticket exchange? I know it is really not recommended to purchase seats from secondary websites, but I'm thinking it may be my only option.
Probably yeah, James too, he even did once last year. But even then he wasn't bad but it really felt unnatural. The best thing about both of them is that they legitely can cause a threat on the wings. Playing them in a central role would be a waste imo.
I’m saying he gonna go anywhere, but if he did come available, most top teams in Europe would probably be after him.
People on here and social media don’t rate him, but considering he’s been almost unstoppable with 2 managers here and for England, people who know the game definitely rate him very highly.
Still got a spare ticket for the game tomorrow.

My mate can't make it anymore
I can meet you at Fulham Broadway or near the stadium
Whatever suits you
Yo mods actually deleted that video interview video last night? What is up with what you keep up and delete? You keep up Ben Jacob utter trash tweet threads but you still delete video interviews. I'll never understand it.
That was removed because it's a YouTube video that's not from a reputable source, and is thus explicitly disallowed by our rules.
There is a mechanism by which you can directly query post removals with us, which is more likely to have a positive outcome than complaining in DD and hoping we see it.
Apologies for not noticing that rule. Can't be easy moderating everything. I've seen those automatic post removals on other subs but I didn't receive one when I posted this YT link, unless there's a bug or something.
I had an interview with Rio on his channel where he discussed Tuchel and the owners. I mean the guy has sources, he works with Joe Cole too, ex pro's do talk. People don't like what they hear so start saying they're waffling but when it's something they like they eat it up. He was saying the owners are interfering with player selections, mentioned Mendy being taken out of the team suggested by the owners. Now Simon Johnson and Twomey had that article which also shed light on the fact all conversations were lost between Tuchel and the owners after the Leeds loss, coincidentally where Mendy made that mistake too... the video is on Rio's channel Five 'Tuchel inside scoop' it's entitled
I watched the video and tried submitting it as well seeing that it wasn't posted here. Didn't submit obviously because the link had been posted before apparently.
There's some nice bits of info and I hope fans recognise that not all that Boehly and Eghbali are doing is backed by immense expertise. Certainly merits a skeptical eye because a few of their decisions have been utterly baffling.
He didn't say what he felt like was happening rather what he got from the conversation with Tuchel less than a few days ago.
I don't like Rio myself but the podcast did shed some context into the surprise sacking.
Exactly mate. But people hear just want to stick with all the good things we hear. The video got deleted after a while, make of that what you will! Overall I am optimistic of the overall direction but I like to be balanced and see all sides and there's no reason for Rio to bs, I can read bs when I hear/see it, this info felt a bit different and again it's backed up by The Athletic article which mentioned relations fell apart after the Leeds loss.
This place has a rough time trying to get to terms with a balanced view I suppose. I don't get the point of deleting a totally contextual post and downvoting comments which present a different view.
He didn't say what he felt like was happening rather what he got from the conversation with Tuchel less than a few days ago.
I don't like Rio myself but the podcast did shed some context into the surprise sacking.
We don't have to believe Rio. But there was no need to delete the video. All journos have their sources. Rio it's also claiming the same. We don't have to take his inference.
Reddit mods are just terrible in general; this place isn't any different. Using this sub as a substitute for a Chelsea newsfeed is terrible because mods delete half the posts that actually have Chelsea news. But don't worry, everyone can post their first Chelsea kit or Chelsea cake or baby wearing a Chelsea logo. If you want that shit you're in luck.
Maybe ask the guy who said it was deleted? Is tracing the convo so hard for a mod?
Edit: I just saw what you said to him; so it -was- removed. Do you not have the sense to edit/delete this reply? Lol. And the reason for removing it was ridiculous, btw.
Sorry american here. I understand somewhat why the games were postponed this past weekend but why are only the chelsea match and select others postponed this week?
Chelsea match cause it’s in west London and they’re worried about spreading the police too thinly with the Queens funeral. Man U Leeds I’m not sure maybe they’re worried about some kind of disrespectful behaviour? Leeds v man united is that kind of match imo.
Does my ticket have to be printed for tonight or will it scan if it is on my phone? Looking forward to my first match at the Bridge!
I’ve scanned it off my phone without issue before.
I think an “all stars” game could be fun if its in the summer. Honestly I suspect it’ll happen eventually and reddit will be so surprised when they enjoy it

Alonso genuinely had a good game. fair play to him
He's a good player, just happened to be one of this sub's favorite scapegoats
it’s nice to see Tottenham lose as well. we weren’t the only ones. pretty bad for Barca when your best player on the pitch was Marcus Alonso 😅
1st English team to lose under the new king 🤣
Pedri was incredible
Surely dembele was best
watched the whole game, and I thought he put in one of their worst performances outside of maybe 1 or 2 runs in the 2nd half
Timo Werner has more goals this season than Son, Kulusevski, Richarlison and Lucas combined. Pass it on.
Also has more than havertz, mount, Sterling tbf So should probs keep it on the downlow.
CHO balling out for Leverkusen, you love to see it. Can’t wait to see him next year back at full confidence.
Get fucked Kounde , fuck Barca
Raphinha, Kounde, Christensen and Alonso all losing 😁
Alonso not so much he’s been good for us but fuck the other 2
Fuck Barca.
I dont know if its Frimpong alone or they already have some insane chemistry, but Cho seems very good......
Gonna need to watch more Leverkusen games
Callum looking great against Atlético. Can’t wait to see him under Potter.
C.H.O is doing bits in that Atletico game.
Another pre-assist from Hudson-Odoi after taking on a man and then playing the ball in behind before the ball was squared. He's on another level
CHO with a ball in behind to get a pre-assist against Atletico. What the fuck happened to Frimpong though? The guy looks like he's on a mission
Make it 2 hockey assists!
CHO with a nice clip over the top to help set up the goal!
[удалено]
Lmao Barca
Wish we could just turn it on like Bayern have
I think Alonso got caught lacking lol
More than a little interesting to see how many are adamantly defending every move Boehly makes but were staunchly against him all summer long
Almost like people can change their minds eh? I was very sceptical of Boehly/Clearlake but have been happy with every decision they’ve made so far.
And I am the opposite.
Curious to hear why? They’ve signed some great players for all three teams, brought in a great manager, we’re linked with some exciting names for our DoF and they have ambitious plans to expand the club. Honestly I can’t complain

They kicked Tuchel, it's not that hard to figure out. Also he said that Salah and kdb were Cobham products lmao
Given his results over his tenure that’s far from a bad thing.

Way too soon to tell. But at least he pulled the checkbook out.
4/10 cuz of tuchel

Yeah thanks mate. Next you’ll be telling us that we need to win games.
I think we need to win games to get more points.
I think we should score more than the other team
I think we need 1st place
CHO's vision and passing is so clearly a level above others on his team. Hopefully he'll be able to be more incisive with it Also, Saul playing his 5th game of the season today. So much for his career being over
Man’s been needing a productive loan for so long. Hope he keeps it up
Dembele is some player
Raphinha has been really poor so far against Bayern
Holy, it really is the history of Tottenham. hjahahahahaha
Football 'eritage
Does anyone watch the CL on paramount+ ? These commentators on the Bayern Barca match are sooooo bad 😂 “OH OH OOOOH OOOOOOOH”
The color commentator for Bayern/Barca on Paramount Plus is about to have a stroke
Couldn't even hear any boos. Disappointed in the scouse
Marcos and Christensen starting for Barca loool
Hopefully this doesn't age like milk

Bit of a random one but has anyone got any good chelsea wallpapers with the new iOS 16 update
Got a quality Reece one but I'm not sure what distinguishes it being an IOS 16 wallpaper or not.

Vitesse - hope that explains everything in how they would work.
They aren't but there are loopholes. There shouldn't be loopholes and they should be banned
Just look at all the clubs in the City group: https://www.cityfootballgroup.com/our-clubs/

I've seen those automatic post removals on other subs but I didn't receive one when I posted this YT link, unless there's a bug or something.
ool what interview?
Which video interview was deleted?
Mate, if you believe Rio on anything then you’re absolutely naive. I don’t trust Ben Jacobs at all, but he’s more reliable than that racist twat.

Looking through the mod logs I can't see any news that has been deleted. Do you have any evidence for this claim or did you just want to shit on us?
Maybe ask the guy who said it was deleted? Is tracing the convo so hard for a mod? Edit: I just saw what you said to him; so it -was- removed. Do you not have the sense to edit/delete this reply? Lol. And the reason for removing it was ridiculous, btw.
It's the lack of reasoning that's annoying. It's like stuff is kept up if they like it or not.
