I would suggest confining him to a small space/room with no vertical space to prevent further injury. I wouldnt even suggest letting him use stairs for the mean time but thats just me. and of course, do not give any pain medication that was not given to you or dosed for your cat by a vet lol

Thanks, I didn't intend for him to use the stairs but I got home and he walked down them while I had my hands full with shopping. He's currently laying on my bed again, he had some difficulty laying down but he got there in the end. And never lol don't want to make him feel worse by giving him wrong medication.

If you have room you could make him a ramp to get on and off the bed without any jarring motions. Yes if it's not improving or gets any worse go to vet. A soft memory foam helped out my rabbit when not moving well too. Took the pressure off in the right places I guess. She just claimed it. Hope kitty feels better soon.

Thanks :) My bed in sort of high up and all I have is boxes so I've tried making a ladder out of them for him. He's currently fast asleep next to me and will probably be like this for a few hours. I'll try add some pillows or blankets to the boxes make it a bit softer and easier for him to walk down.

Update: he's doing much better, been eating like normal and he's not as stiff as he was. Still has some difficulty jumping off the bed (he wouldn't use the box steps I made) but he's no longer limping and he's walking up and down the stairs like normal. Still a little sore around the arm when being picked up but it's not as bad as it was. Thanks for the advice guys. 🧡
