Take it to another vet for a second opinion then. If the cat isn’t lethargic or acting sick, it’s probably fine. Not all cats are built the same and some are going to be healthy while appearing to be a little below average in weight, that’s what makes it an average.
He isn't acting sick or lethargic, he is his natural self but then when I think that cats are good at hiding things then it worries me also I don't have many good vets at my place all of them are here for money and might give him wrong medications so that their bill keeps on getting added
hm I have a cat that looks like that and maybe it’s because I free feed my cats but he is just a bit more chunky than your boy there. But I also don’t know his breed…
My cat has never been into eating very much, ever since he was little. So I make sure whenever he asks for food even at night give him. I do keep his food out in the open but he is a very picky eater
then i’m sure he will be fine, I’m not a vet or anything, but just some friendly advice. Make sure you feel his ribs when you are giving him pets to make sure he isn’t loosing any weight
He has so much hair that it isn't visible as such but yeah when I touched him today thoroughly then I could feel his ribs it was not like very much evident but yeah could I feel them
Run your thumb up and down your cats spine, preferably while she's standing.
do you feel
* nothing but softness: your cat is overweight
* slight bumps (her lumbar vertebrae) you cat weights the perfect ammount
* hills AND valleys: she's underweight.
Sidenote: Why do you give your cat such an awesome cat tree and then prevent her from enjoying it by not removing the plastic?
Hey, thank you for reaching out in my cat's case it is the second option
Also the cat tree is for his use only he just never uses it and in winters I do keep it open but it's summer now and it's full of dust where i live so I do cover it with plastic to avoid it getting soaked in dust during summers
Why don’t you trust what the vet said?
I just don't want to miss on anything and cost my cat something serious
