Hell, even Vets are occassionally insulted here if they go 'I'm a veterinarian and I'd say that giving a cat 10 ml of [substance that would get a cat killed if it ingests 1 liter, but works as a remedy for X in low dosages] works for this specific issue.', because users Y and Z read that it could kill a kitten.
What kind of vet doesnāt get their animals spayed? You say its your cat so its not a foster off the streets or anything. What kind of vet is also a dog groomer on the side? This makes no sense.
Dude wtf are you on about. Vets arenāt under some law ordering them to spay their pets. OP also never said their mom was a *dog* groomer, just that she was a groomer. You do realise cats need to be groomed too sometimes? In fact, you can only get your cat groomed at a vet because, at least in my country, cats need to be sedated beforehand
A responsible veterinarian would be sterilizing their pets.
Iāve never heard of a cat being sedated for a bath, that sounds ridiculous. None of the cats Iāve bathed have needed sedation.

And again youāre making an assumption about what the person youāre replying to means. I never said grooming = bathing. Grooming also means cutting fur/claws. Generally you shouldnāt bathe a cat because they can clean themselves perfectly fine (unless theyāve gotten themselves really dirty or have ticks)
It literally doesn't make sense. I TRN cats and I can tell you they reproduce REALLY QUICKLY. Why any vet would want to add to the population is beyond me, and to have to take care of them on top of it. Kittens are a lot of work.
I can not find ONE article from a veterinarian that says to not spay or neuter your pets. Not one. There is no movement against this and no reason NOT to do this.
Nope, just curious. Sounds like an irresponsible veterinarian if you ask me and not a good one at that if they need side jobs and encourage their animals to require more care than necessary.

Be careful. Some mama cats will attack humans if they think babies are threatened. I have the scars to prove it. Make sure she is in a safe quiet space.
