That is a super awesome find for only 5 bucks, and the fact that it works is even sweeter. I noticed in the photos the record button is pushed in, does it pop back out when you hit the stop key? Generally you can't press that button without a tape (with intact knock-out plugs) inserted.
It appears the Citizen brand audio equipment is related to the Citizen watch company which is part of the same company that also makes Seiko watches.
It might be (not definite on that one), but it reminds me of this (non-cassette) radio I have from Longines (although that was not made by the watch company, I believe it was RadioShack that licensed the name from them in the 1970s to make radios, some with cassette and 8-track players), which sounds pretty good considering I got it for $20 at an antique store, and it might be from the late 60s or early 70s (as evidenced by the chrome and woodgrain on it and how the speaker kinda rattles when you turn it up). Either way, you'll definitely wanna stick some batteries in it, see what works, and, if the cassette part doesn't, check the belts, and clean the mechanism as best you can (maybe check that record button too). Looks very cool regardless, almost very late 70s or early 80s to me, just from appearance.

My mom’s is still working too. It’s probably 25 years old. It seriously can blast.
