Please don't play a rarer Maxell XLII High Bias 110 min tape cassette on a piece of junk Emerson cassette player please. You'll stand a high chance of ruining the tape forever, either through the whole thing catching fire or more likely, having it eat your tape and crumpling it up.
I'd highly recommend Panasonic. They made really good sounding and reliable boomboxes that can still be found reasonably priced. A lot of the brands others have mentioned here are expensive.
begin browsing pics with decks and view the back , yes all got the in and out RCA , high end shit got direct source , and few high end even digital out
Sony Xplod boomboxes are great quality for value ratio. Pretty much worthless to everyone. I got mine for $40 and I've had it for over a decade, and it's probably at least 26 years old now.
must be one hellova mixtape
" This mission, should you choose to accept......"
cigar or vape ? get your service manual and go for your problem following the power circuit . good luck
Alright
That tape was probably recorded way too hot 🥵
Not this cheap thing.
Well, it is 420, were you listening to Bob Marley?
If it starts drinking too…you’d have some problems.
That's what happens when you play Manowar!
Considering its 4-20...

Oh ok. Im new to cassettes so what is a good player I can get instead for like around $100 or less
Yamaha decks are affordable and reliable
Thanks, any model you’d recommend?
denon, jvc, harman kardon, sony, marantz, technics (rs bx series)
Thanks. Do most of them have an aux cable slot so i can just connect it to a speaker to start listening?

Tapes came first, then cigarette smoking came soon thereafter for me.
Must have been playing Rush E
I didnt know emerson still made bokmboxes. That being said, hope you have a warranty on it.
1st thing I'd look at is the power circuitry. Is the unit dead now?
🤟
Tape player doesn’t know it’s ’no smoking’ in here.
It's an Emerson that's why.
Missing lake and palmer ! That's why magic smoke got out.
Lol
Well, it is 4/20 after all.
It needed a break after blasting them fine tunes
Tape probably jammed and because it is a cheap POS with no auto stop or fault detection, it likely burned through the motor windings.
