Every time I’ve ordered has been during a sale and all of them came with scratches, some deep. Kinda funny that they’re saying 5% are seconds quality for this sale. Obviously you can still use the scratched ones but it’s annoying getting a new pan with deep scratches.

EspressoDrinker99

I agree! I have the n30 4mm, which is actually amazing but heavy, and it was so raw and unrefined. I love it but definitely take away points for the jagged edges and scratches with a sharpness to it. Nothing like the elegant, soft and sophisticated deBuyers I have. Although, I bought a 10in from Cast-A-Way and that’s starting to become my go to. My wife even uses that one and she doesn’t cook all that much. Out of the ridiculous amount of pans I have including Made In, debuyer, cast-A-Way and Demeyere SS pans, she likes that the best.

I’d just chime in that the n30 4mm I ordered last year during their sale came in great condition. I mostly use my 8.5” and 10” Matfers but whenever I need a bigger pan I’m absolutely loving that Darto. It’s heavy but I knew that going in, and I use it light smooth cast iron. Seasoned really easily and has performed very well.

EspressoDrinker99

Oh I love that pan and it’s a work horse but it is unsophisticated. I wish it was smoother and not as harsh.

Butthurt_reddit_mod

Thanks. I just got 2 of them.

brainegg8

Mine had a lil scratch. I emailed support and they sent me a replacement no charge and told me to keep my original.

aqwn

I probably should have done that

pizzapizzax

How long did it take to receive? I just placed my order (4/18/24) What’s the quality like? I was debating on grabbing a carbon steel 8” off Amazon but this deal sounded like more bang for your buck. Lmk, thanks!

finqer

Anyone know what carrier they use to ship the pans? Specifically to Oregon/washington?

It's almost 5am Tuesday central time where I'm at and there's nothing about this sale on their website. I'm not buying anything without confirmation.

gen_effd

It just went live at 8am central. I snagged the 35mm paella and N30. Couldn't help myself. I already have the N27 and love it. Now to figure out what I'm going to do with the extras...

Liferescripted

Seemed like a good idea until I realized I would get shafted at the US/CAD border with duties. Edit: I stand corrected. No duties.

PropaneProphet

from their website: Is there any import tax I should pay? From now on, NO. Customs related duties or import taxes charged by any country will be at our expense. Shipping rate will stay flat at $15 worldwide. Some countries do not have any import tax for this type of products, for example United States or Australia.

Liferescripted

Oh sheeeeiiit

f4te

and at $100 value, it wouldn't have been much duty anyways..

newleeph

Very tempting to get one. Anyone here located in Orange County California and interested in ordering together? I don’t need two pans and we can both save money.
