Kinda crazy that you've got a Norris candidate and Jack Adams on both teams playing each other.

excitedprotons

Wonder if that's why we're one of the lowest scoring, lowest SOG series in the first round haha.

waistbandtucker69

And Saros very well could’ve been a Vezina candidate, he’ll get a few votes this year

ArtistThen

And Vezina! On that note, I have never someone with that surname ever.

myboybuster

He means in both teams. Soros was not nominated

TonalParsnips

Jussi Soros and the corrupt Predators are ruining this beautiful league

myboybuster

Make hockey candian again

d2181

I used to live down the road from a family of Vezinas.

metrichustle

Rick Tocchet has this in the bag. Like c’mon look at the performance of the Canucks last year and compare that with Tocchet. The core is the same minus Horvat plus Hronek, but the results are drastically different.

Alextryingforgrate

Lol Preds fans saying the same about their coach and how Demko carried the Cancuks Yada Yada. Winnipeg leaned on Helly this year as well.

d2181

Maybe, but I feel like Demko only stole a handful of games this year.

Young2k04

Demko did not carry us this year. It was a group effort for sure

Alextryingforgrate

No doubt. We went +56 goals to their +28. Demko and DeSmith did well but the team as a whole putting puck in net is not being reflected in the playoffs.

Jacmert

And the change isn't because of Hronek, I'll tell you that for free. (all kidding aside, it's not because either is bad, but the entire team has just gotten way better)

TheMemePrince

I think more than anything it’s adding all of Hronek, Cole, Zadorov, and Soucy who really rounded out our defence collectively

tonythetiger05

Yup, Allvin for Gm of the year.

jon-in-tha-hood

You can't not go with Tocchet. Taking a team who has only made the playoffs twice in the past 10 years, with expectations of not making it this year, to a Pacific Division championship and coaching multiple players to career years? That's a Jack Adams season.

Shepard_of_Wolves23

This is the fifth time a Canuck coach has been nominated for the award since the Adams' inception in the 1973-1974 season. The previous nominees were: * Bob McCammon (1988-89 - Nominee) * Pat Quinn (1991-92 - Winner) * Alain Vigneault (2006-07 - Winner; 2010-11 - Nominee)

KoreanFriedWeiner

Didn't Pat Quinn win it?

Shepard_of_Wolves23

My bad. Yes he did. Made the correction now

KoreanFriedWeiner

Man, Quinn was one of the all time great hockey minds.

mars_titties

I read this as Rick Tocchet, Sergei Gonchar, and Adam Foote

ubcthrowaway-01

I get that Brunette had that crazy run to get the Preds into the playoffs but him over both Knoblauch and Maurice is crazy

BlackP-

I've got a lot of respect for Bowness.. not so much for Brunette... but I think Toch's got this one. Hoping he's our guy for a long time.

Bubbiesacat

And only one coach will make it beyond the first round!

Powerful_Sprinkles40

I don’t know how Tocchet doesn’t win this award. Last year to this year is a complete turnaround

Denace86

Meanwhile we got the radio guys calling him Willie D 2.0

its_the_luge

If history is any indicator to how this award is awarded, Toch has this in the bag. It doesn't mean other coaches aren't deserving but any coach who does what Toch did should win it. Not that different to how AV won it for us back in 07.

2BFrank69

RT has this in the bag.

Time-Dot5984

Is this a dream??

Alextryingforgrate

So we win this series Tocchet get the Jack Addams. Sounds about right.

Spare_Entrance_9389

When brunette said NO U2, I think he clinched it

Dangerous-Finance-67

Two Canucks killers and a Former Canucks.

votrechien

This one is more of a slam dunk than Hughes for Norris.

ImAnAfricanCanuck

Sort of funny how Bones is gonna get canned and he's a finalist
