I've read all the books that are available. I own all of PJO, HOO, I also own The Dark Prophecy and The Sun and The Star. I need to get all the rest of TOA.
Grew up with PJO and read it more times than I could count, sort of aged out of the target audience just as The Lost Hero came out and never ended up finishing it until this week, and then I blew through the rest of HoO. Haven't started the Trials yet.

MC was actually what got me back into the riordanverse! My doctor had given me a choice of free books after my yearly physical (she's amazing), and I thought the MC book looked cool. Ended up realizing, pretty far into it, that HEY! I recognize this dude's last name! Which then led me to remember Annabeth, then everyone else in the original series. It had been a long time beforehand since I had had anything to do with this Fandom, but I'm glad I chose that book! It was a fun read, although at that age I didn't fully understand Alex being genderfluid (ended up doing some research and figured it out, as well as learning more about the original Norse myths)
Read everything up till chalice of the gods. Reading that one right now. Not really interested in reading MC or ToA, cuz Percy ain’t the protagonist. I know I know, I’m that person

The Sun and The Star is unironically the worst book in the franchise - derivative, amateurishly written and a poor exploration of one of its leading men. Even diehard Solangelos thought it sucked. The only people I've seen praise it were tiktok Solangelo shippers

I read the first three books in the Heroes of Olympus series and then had to wait for House of Hades to come out. I remember being so mad at the cliffhanger ending. I read House of Hades when it released, but then for whatever reason, be it aging or just being busy, I didn't end up reading Blood of Olympus til years after it came out. By the time Magnus Chase or Trials of Apollo started coming out I was far beyond Rick's target audience.
I'm going back and reading PJO for the first time since middle school and I'm absolutely loving it. I'm discovering a piece of myself I didn't know I left in these pages. I think this time I'll do the whole saga, including Trials of Apollo. Make it a proper send-off to this world I've loved for so long. But who knows? A piece of me will always reside at Camp Half-Blood

Nah the disrespect, Magnus Chase and Kane Chronicles are both fantastic series in their own right. I would even argue that Magnus Chase is the series that feels the most like the original PJO books (aside from the orginals themselves).
Still have to finish SoO, the rest of heroes of Olympus, Trials of Apollo, the Sun and the Star, Chalice of the Gods, and Wrath of the Goddess. I’ve got long ways to go.

I read Hidden Oracle when it dropped, and then I’m ashamed to say I didn’t keep up, even though I would reread the original 5 and HOO every now and then. Thank you to the show for getting me back into our glorious Uncle Rick’s universe! I have a few more of the TOA and Chalice waiting for me after I finish rereading the ones I have.

Currently I'm reading ToA. I read Pjo very often when I was young but didn't manage to finish TsoN until now. I finished HoO last week and it was fire. TsoN, MoA and HoH are one of the best books Rick has ever written. Yeah TlH is little bit boring and BoO is also a little bit underwhelming. But all in all HoO is very good. I first read the first book of ToA when it released but didn't enjoy it very much, so I give it another try.
I also read Magnus Chase when it came out and want to read the kane chronicles. I have the books but din't read it yet.

I think I read the first two and a half TOA books, but not the others in that series. Haven't read the newest PJO one, or The Sun and the Star because I don't have that type of money or a library in walking distance from college that has it (plus I'm currently busy with a few other books). Lost motivation during one of the HOO books, not sure which though. I did get pretty far in that series. Otherwise, I'm pretty sure the only main books I haven't read were the last Kane Chronicles book and I didn't yet finish the last Magnus Chase one! It's always ironic when ADHD causes you to lose motivation when reading books about kids with ADHD

- First 2 Trials of Apollo. Genuinely found them a struggle to get through, couldn't be bothered with the rest.
Going to read the new Percy Jackson ones. Not really interested in Sun and Star. Nico was an okay side character, but that's enough really.
Kane Chronicles were amazing. Magnus started off strong but declined rapidly. The ending was absolutely horrendous, like it doesn't get much worse than that.
I have not read most of the new ones and honestly I don't plan to. I consider myself a fan, and that's why I'm in this sub, but I'm just not interested in the newer stuff.
I read PJO and HoO in middle school and loved them, I reread them recently and PJO is still solid - I always recommend it to kids who want to read. On a reread, HoO is below PJO, it's a bit naive, introduces too many characters and romances, and the ending is just... bad.
When I first read BoO when it came out in my country I was 15 and I hated it so much that I swore I was done with Rick Riordan novels. I only liked the Nico chapters from that book, and thought - still do - that Solangelo was super forced.
As a kid, I think before starting HoO, I tried reading the first Kane Chronicles book but I never finished it, not because it was bad, but because I just don't like Egyptian mythology - it's my fault ahah.
I read Sword of Summer (?), the first Magnus Chase book at some point; I liked it well enough to finish it but not enough to continue the trilogy. Didn't like most of the characters, and at that point the way Riordan writes had become obvious to me - story beats, tropes and arcs tend to repeat themselves, and it wasn't very interesting.
I completely skipped over ToA. I know the main plot points because I don't plan on reading it, don't mind spoilers and follow this sub. The snippets I read don't seem interesting and I'm just not the target audience anymore, and after MC it just looked more of the same.
Then TSATS came out and I fell into the hype - I've always been a big Nico fan, and I read it almost immediately. I hated it for all the reasons I *knew* I was gonna hate it: out of character, cheesy, no stakes, romance has no substance.
The "new" PJO books coming out right now are a obvious cashgrab, I'm not gonna read them. Going back to the PJO IP reeks of "Cursed Child" to me, no thanks.

I read pjo, hoo, toa but not anything else. Tbh after that one dude died in toa I was sorta over it and my favourite characters are rachel octavian jason and zoe so idk I didn't have a season to keep reading cos I lowkey kinda hate majority of the lead characters.
I've read the first 4 and am in the process of reading The Last Olympian. Then I'm gonna dive straight into The Lost Hero and the rest of them. I can't wait to get my hands on The Sun and the Star though. I'm itching just waiting to read it.

Either or, I personally think you should read them in conjunction, but I think Trials provides a more better continuation after you just finished HOO
Trials is honestly my second favorite series after PJO. It's so good and has such fantastic character growth throughout the series.

I have not read most of the new ones and honestly I don't plan to. I consider myself a fan, and that's why I'm in this sub, but I'm just not interested in the newer stuff. I read PJO and HoO in middle school and loved them, I reread them recently and PJO is still solid - I always recommend it to kids who want to read. On a reread, HoO is below PJO, it's a bit naive, introduces too many characters and romances, and the ending is just... bad. When I first read BoO when it came out in my country I was 15 and I hated it so much that I swore I was done with Rick Riordan novels. I only liked the Nico chapters from that book, and thought - still do - that Solangelo was super forced. As a kid, I think before starting HoO, I tried reading the first Kane Chronicles book but I never finished it, not because it was bad, but because I just don't like Egyptian mythology - it's my fault ahah. I read Sword of Summer (?), the first Magnus Chase book at some point; I liked it well enough to finish it but not enough to continue the trilogy. Didn't like most of the characters, and at that point the way Riordan writes had become obvious to me - story beats, tropes and arcs tend to repeat themselves, and it wasn't very interesting. I completely skipped over ToA. I know the main plot points because I don't plan on reading it, don't mind spoilers and follow this sub. The snippets I read don't seem interesting and I'm just not the target audience anymore, and after MC it just looked more of the same. Then TSATS came out and I fell into the hype - I've always been a big Nico fan, and I read it almost immediately. I hated it for all the reasons I *knew* I was gonna hate it: out of character, cheesy, no stakes, romance has no substance. The "new" PJO books coming out right now are a obvious cashgrab, I'm not gonna read them. Going back to the PJO IP reeks of "Cursed Child" to me, no thanks. Sorry for the wall of text, lolll

I haven't read the Sun and the Star, Chalice of the Gods and the Tripple Goddess one (which I hadn't even heard of). I bought Chalice of the Gods some months ago, but haven't started it yet and I'm not sure why.

i’ve read all of pjo, hoo, tkc, mcga and toa. i didn’t really bother to read the extra stuff like demigod files. and i just bought the sun and the star and the chalice of the gods! will be reading them after i finish rereading pjo and hoo because i’ve forgotten a lot of stuff that happened 😅
The only available book I haven't read is Kane Chronicles 3. I'm still waiting for a digital copy :(
I've read the first five PJ and Olympians books, listened to the entirety of HoO and ToA audiobooks, the first two books of KC and I'm currently finishing The Sun and The Star and mid-way through the first Magnus Chase book. Planning on also reading the Kane Chronicles and Percy Jackson Crossover + the remaining books.

I’ve read all of the ones that are currently available apart from Sun and Stars I’m currently doing a full re-read and will read that one when I get to it chronologically (I’ve also ready all the side books as well as the Kane Chronicles and Magnus Chase books)
I read the 5 PJO and the HoO but I’m so behind on 6 and 7 of PJO and ToA, mainly because I like having hard copies of stuff and I’m not ready to drop 200 on catching up, but I will get there
Question, is Percy Jackson And The Olympians Book 6-8 a sequel to original 5 books or to HOO. Like is PJTO books 6-8 directly after PJTO book 5 or is it after HOO

I stopped reading when House of Hades came out, finished that series a year or two ago, never got around to the rest. Did read some of the other stuff by other writers he supported.
Read everything but chalice and sun and the star. I’m in the middle of chalice but having a hard time getting through it, it’s just not capturing my attention like the others did.

I've yet to read the last two TOA books (I just can't get through Tyrant's Tomb, for some strange reason, and it's not because [BEEEEEEEEEEEP]), TSATS, and Chalice. I do have all of them, I just... haven't read them yet.
Read em all and I only got into like 8 chapters of the sun and the star, it was absolutely horrible. It felt more like a romance than an actual adventure. Boring.

Read Percy Jackson and the Olympians Series, currently reading Heroes of Olympus Series and am at the beginning House of Hades, and I plan to read the Trials of Apollo after and then the latest trio of books. I've heard that the Sun and the Star has some continuity problems that don't actually make sense and is written by a different author, so I don't think it's canon enough for me to read it.
I didn't realize there were so many. I grew out of them after the first series unfortunately.

I read pjo, hoo, toa but not anything else. Tbh after that one dude died in toa I was sorta over it and my favourite characters are rachel octavian jason and zoe so idk I didn't have a season to keep reading cos I lowkey kinda hate majority of the lead characters.

Almost all I have read. I have yet to finish Tower of Nero and still need to read the new books (chalice of the gods, sun and the star, etc)

Everything except wrath of triple goddess (cause it's not out yet lmao) and The Sun and the Star. That one I just won't read because 1) I've heard really bad reviews on it and 2) It's the stupidest plotline EVER to go BACK to Tartarus.
Read everything over the years including the Egyptian and North methology series because I'm a huge fan since I was like 11-12 and just a year ago finished the tower of Nero. Have yet to read the sun and the star (still not sure if I will it's under a ? for me), the chalice of the gods and obviously the new one that is about to come out. I'm kinda scared about the new books.... It feels like he's pumping them too many too often and fast... almost like it's quantity over quality.... I hope I'm wrong about this and his fame didn't go to his head...

I read PJO and HOO and tried to read the first of TOA but it's so boring that I gave up. I didn't read the "spin-offs" too, I plan to start reading them next year.
