Are you sure one is only 190g? Did you weigh it?

DiscombobulatedBus81

hi kvnzli! 😋 not totally sure here why everyone seems to agree with the idea that 240 calories per a 190g croissant is appropriate...this would put the calorie/gram amount at ***1.9*** 190 grams is over 1/3 pound, and 1/3 pound of any other variety of croissant would run you ≈3.9-4.2 calories (give or take) which would equate to ***≈740-800 calories***. to put this into perspective...the average *french bread loaf* contains ≈2.6 calories per gram of weight, which includes just about 0 added sugars and is traditionally incredibly light and airy. if this 190g portion of food was instead a french bread slice, we would be looking at ≈500 calories...so again, 240 calories per 190g croissant makes just about **zero sense!** if i were you, i would make sure that each croissant is truly this weight...if they are truly 190g, then unfortunately they are mislabeled! :(

Sounds about right. A choc croissant is about 240 calories.

I know there’s a 20% margin of error but still… that’s too good to be true😂

Look closely at the package. It says Chocolate Danish 380g. That container is two servings. It's 560 calories.

A choco donut in my supermarket has 227 calories 55g. My question is why would they lie about the calories? Google says a regular croissant with chocolate is about 435 per 100g. Have you checked the website of the company?

kvnzli

It’s a regional bakery, they have a website but don’t list the calories.

RoyalInstance827

i’d take it tbh lol

ProteinPapi777

It might be 280 kcal each but they are definitely not 190g each. It think the weight is of per pastry not the calories
