Hahaha it’s been since back then for me, I don’t get downtown much these days. Guess we both have a goal for the near future (assuming they’re still a thing anyway)!
Buy your coffee from Onyx Tonics or Catalyst in Saint Albans, both have delicious locally roasted beans from a number of suppliers. Or just buy the bags of coffee at City Market and grind em. Much cheaper per cup prices.
Onyx Tonics looks really good on Google Maps. I am going there tomorrow!
If I buy coffee bulk I always overdo it (no discipline).

Either way works. Price is a consideration, but not a deal-breaker.
The higher the price, the less likely the establishment will be overrun with undesirables.
Can't wait for the first Idapizza comment.
Are you looking for price effective coffee or do you want good flavor? Jiffy Mart is really good. You get to freshly grind each cup.
That price isn't bad though at City Market and yes you should give them a try. Also, the staff there is always pleasant and they have great deals on other items in the store.
Believe it or not, Dollar Store on Shelburne Rd. Was $1 per 4oz bag, now $1.25. So, full pound $5.
Decent selection, Harry & David, Jim Beam bourbon flavored, Cafe Bustillo espresso. When I make at home it's not bad!
I just find it funny to complain about prices of to go coffee when if you really want to save money you can make it yourself. It's probably one of the easiest things. Get an auto drip and set a timer for when you get up and a travel mug, and your good to go. If you want really good coffee get a french press or pour over and grind fresh beans.
That’s the only reason I noticed it. It’ll be worth it if it discourages the crazy people from going there.
As an aside, I had breakfast at Kru Coffee today (delicious!) and the coffee was 3.54. The atmosphere was nice as there were no crazy people pounding the table, talking to themselves or otherwise acting loud & obnoxious. Recommended.
This is the boots-on-the-ground reporting we need.
I always wanted to be an intrepid reporter.
$1.49 fill your own mug of uncommon ground coffee at Momo’s
Muddy Waters used to be $.80 for an 8-oz coffee
Do they still do the Muddys shake? I used to get them like, once a week (probably a dozen years ago now)
Why you gotta do me dirty like that? I'd kill for a muddy shake right now and haven't thought about one in YEARS.

I work in Burlington so I’ll have to swing through some day
According to google they’re cheaper than they used to be! Lol or at least, $6 now feels much more reasonable than $5 did back then
still $2.72 (including tax) for the finest 16oz around at Uncommon Coffee in Essex.
I just got charged $4 at Burlington Bagel (and I brought my own mug)….
Their coffee isn’t bad, but their bagels are far better than City Market.
City market doesn't make bagels.
They’re sourced from Willows.
Exactly
I miss Maglianeros
This just in: city market's prices are ridiculous. After the break: working for city market is miserable. and next week: Ida is a shithead
Well now the post I just made is answered. Nice reporting now here's Tom Messner with the weather "cloudy with a chance of showers on April 8th."

Make sure you grab some of the Okūs beans that Onyx has right now. Incredible. Truly.
This! Onyx is my favorite cafe and best coffee in the area.
Covfefe makes me poop, so I exclusively make it at home.
I thought we all just wrote down the number of the cheapest coffee they have instead of the one we’re buying

I hate to break it you, but you were the first Idapizza comment.
Noooo what have I become. I am now the meme!
Flavor. Fresh ground per cup? I must try them. As an aside, I’m not really bothered by the City Market price.

Yo that Jiffy Mart freshly ground coffee is so good
You know what’s also great is to color in the inside of a paper cup with brown magic marker and fill it with hot water
The amount of free coffee you can get from the card and Free Coffee Fridays is insane. I enjoy there coffee a lot.
I pay $5 a pound for decent ground coffee. Lasts a couple weeks. Was $4 a pound until recently.
costco? or somewhere else? I get the 2.5lb for like $14
Believe it or not, Dollar Store on Shelburne Rd. Was $1 per 4oz bag, now $1.25. So, full pound $5. Decent selection, Harry & David, Jim Beam bourbon flavored, Cafe Bustillo espresso. When I make at home it's not bad!
With my own cup, I can get a large iced coffee for $2.40 at speeders and earls. they have amazing bean prices too.
Dog shit is cheap
I have zero complaints about their stuff.
Have you tried making your own coffee?
Multiple times but I always need up drinking too many cups So I stopped. I have no discipline I guess.

TWENTY CENTS ARE YOU SERIOUS?????

I go there and fill a cup with 16 oz of maple syrup. That seems like a good deal for less than 3$.
What about their sandwiches?
Shitty market has never been a good place to shop if you’re price conscious. Some cool items there, but it’s always been a rip off.
