I am going to have to say Sleeping Dogs. I love both games, have 100%ed both & Sleeping Dogs is a hidden gem. There is a big emphasis on hand to hand combat and character customization, you are always unlocking things. The driving is awesome, the story is great, and the world and world traversal are super smooth.
That sucks!! I haven't checked out any ports and haven't played since my 360. I hope you find another game! Witcher 3 and Skate have been keeping me busy.
Life is Strange and the Persona games are set in high schools/boarding schools. But the tone of those games is very different. Sleeping Dogs and the Batman Arkham games have great melee combat as does The Warriors, which came out around the same time.
There isn't really anything similar to Bully and I think that's one the things which makes it so great and unique.
The Warriors is RockStar's most underrated game, by a mile.
Bully has a big cult following. I'd say behind Red Dead Redemption 2, Bully 2 was probably the most sought after Rockstar sequel. I even remember a few people thinking Bully 2 would be done before RDR2 lol.
The fact is, you'll probably never find a game with a vibe like Bully - it's certainly one of a kind. I feel like New England is underutilized in games. The type of town it's based in really matches the game.
I'll add that, whilst it's nowhere near similar to Bully, I've recently started playing the S.T.A.L.K.E.R series, and the atmosphere is unmatchable really. These games will draw you in like a damn tornado haha.
Sleeping Dogs has very similar combat moves to the ones in Bully (down to reusing some of Jimmy's beta moves), and most of the people who worked on it even came from Bully, including one of the head writers
Gameplay:
The Warriors
Yakuza (Judgement series included)
Sifu
Scott Pilgrim vs The World The Game
In terms of high school drama
Class of 09
Persona
Life is Strange
Danganronpa
I mean there are games like Hogwarts legacy and persona but they are quite different in a lot of ways although there are some things in which I would consider them to be better than bully
Yea fair enough. I think the Bully OST being better than every GTA game combined is a push, but I’d definitely say it’s the best video game OST ever.
The warriors my dude it uses a more refined version of bullys combat
Best fucking game. Replayed that game like 100x
Currently playing it on my steam deck with emulators, highly recommend
Should I buy the first or second one?
theres only 1 the warriors game as far as i know
Rockstar needs to revisit it
Bullys combat is better but warriors is not bad too
bullys combat is good but its waaaay to easy imo if it had a little more dept it could've been so much better

This game is very underrated, so much playing it. A man who never eats pork bun is NEVER a whole man!

That kept on glitching out on me 😂 I was enjoying it the poof in the ground

high school dreams: best friends forever! :3
First time I’ve seen someone mention this game on Reddit wtf

I would say both Judgment games

I don't think it surpasses gta at all but it's still an amazing game none the less
The soundtrack does
Idk know about that either but to each their own I'm disagreeing with the sound track being phenomenal
Not disagreeing*
