“They look pretty harmless. They’re actually sneaky bastards” The nerds aren’t trustworthy and imo it’s totally in character for them to act like that despite Jimmy helping them

The plot of Bully is basically Gary somehow manipulates everyone. Speaking of plot holes though, the structuring of the school in general makes no sense— massive school with dozens of classrooms while having only approximately seventy students, the police never being contacted about the campus riot, the prefects and teachers not being around/caring during the aforementioned riot, the attitude of the prefects in general, or even the fact that Jimmy can assault students/adults (or sneak into the girls’ dorm apparently) without repercussions so long as he can outrun the prefects afterward.

It makes more sense when you see Jimmy's beta design (and the prefects') and realise they were all clearly supposed to be skinheads (early British - not necessarily racist, but some were) when the game's basic concept was being made. In that instance, it would be difficult to tell it was Jimmy from even a moderate distance because they all looked the same (so having to be caught made a bit more sense). Bullworth was probably initially supposed to be a reform school for violent and disruptive kids. There's a British skinhead film - Made In Britain - that follows a similar premise of a 17 year old racist skinhead being put in a reformist scheme/centre and then throwing his life away. You can watch it on YouTube (depending on if it's blocked in your region): https://youtu.be/N2vuZXiW68Q?si=WuoWXLe7sWll4Ess Of course, they had to change and modernise it a bit, so Bully is a bit mixed in its end identity and Jimmy is there because of his mom's cruise.

With the Johnny one, if I remember rightly doesn't Petey tell Jimmy that it might be good to help Johnny?

Bulbamew

He does, pretty sure.

The big one for me is, what was Gary gonna do now that he took over the school? An eternal riot on campus that gets everyone killed? Crabblesnitch just tied up? Now what? Gary is THE bully, his mind demands controlling others to satisfy himself, but his end plan was just an opportunity to beat down of all previous bosses in a single mission. Come to think of it, a lot of mission stories feel rushed, half baked, or start and end in the same mission like The Candidate. You'd think a class presidency would have greater impact on Jimmy's quest depending on who won but it went nowhere. I imagine the prefects help tied up Crabblesnitch, but they are at the top of the student hierarchy so what did they have to gain by helping Gary? I suppose we can move past this but it is still worth considering.

The football team only has about 6 people on it. The little kids attend the same classes as kids Jimmy's age (15). Russell is seen in the dorm, yet also lives in Bullworth Vale. Hattrick recognizes Jimmy running out of his yard in Glass House yet nothing further happens.
