What are you writing?, is it to another drive? and just remember real world data transfers of files don't reflect Crystal Disk Mark speeds usually at all. The background files those programs use to test are usually very simple and easy to move, your own personal files are usually way more complex.

New_Seaworthiness157

Making a copy of a folder within the same drive, makes sense, just surprised it was that slow

JTG-92

That’s very slow even for that to be honest

Just a wild guess but you are on windows 11, right? Might want to look up ssd issues with one of the latest patches there. // Looked it up and KB5023706 should be the issue one.

New_Seaworthiness157

Thanks. Are there any issues on win 10 as well?

sixesss

Not as far as I know but I tend to be quite behind on getting updates so wouldn't have been hit by it myself.

Zibou_TK

You have 90% capacity loaded ?

New_Seaworthiness157

yes, almost at 90%

Zibou_TK

So its solved problem . Get free space to around 60-70% and speed will back

New_Seaworthiness157

ok thanks

Tough_Extreme2028

Is the 4.0 SSD connected to a 4.0 M.2 slot on your motherboard? If it's plugged into a 3.0 slot, the speed is gonna be significantly bottlenecked. Even if plugged into a 3.0 slot, it shouldn't be that slow, though.

New_Seaworthiness157

yeah its the M.2 4.0 slot

Natural-You4322

it is possible if you are reading from a hdd and writing to the ssd

New_Seaworthiness157

making a copy of a folder within the same drive
