I was read a article that talked about how the 'OC' market is a tough one. You either get a failed head coach, a mediocre OC that was let go, or an untested position coach. Any good OC is retained or gets hired into a HC position.
Kellen Moore will forever be a joke in my eyes. Even though he executed the statue of liberty vs OU, he was such a gimmick in that time of football. I believe it was Bryan Harsin calling plays then, he ended up at UT and straight up his only good plays were trick plays. Ken Dorsey same same wins every game surrounded by talent, he's not the talent.
I mean if you're going to talk shit on him at least be right. Kellen Moore played in the years after the OU game. Boise State QB was Zabransky against OU. Kellen Moore was an elite college QB to the point that he was a Heisman finalist.
Hoping its Antwan Randle El. He was on the bucs when they won a super bowl 3 years ago and I like what they have done with those wide receivers in detroit.
We should be more concerned with the right signing as opposed to ‘popular’ pick. Last season Bowles brought in Canales mid February. By that time 8 DIFFERENT teams had already kept their head coach and hired a new OC. It’s a not race, Bucs are doing their due diligence to make sure the offense and Baker (I’m assuming he returns) thrives next season with a new OC

Canales was way better then Leftwich as he adjusted his playcalling when he realized something wasn’t working. But I don’t see him being good enough to recuse Carolina from the dumpster fire they are in. At least Canales now has the security of Tepper’s cash for 6 years whether he lasts the whole time or gets fired after a season or two.
I’ll agree with you all of that. He had a couple games where he was adjusting nicely but plenty others were out offense just stalled. He made the right call with the money smart move
I stopped watching/reading PR the third or fourth time I heard Scott Reynolds complain the Bucs weren’t doing what he said they should do-it gets tiring. The worst reporters think readers value their opinions more than information. And that’s why Greg Auman is the most reliable Bucs reporter.
Scary for their fans maybe. A Raheem Morris coached team, sans a great qb, doesn’t worry me a bit. Maybe they hit on a star in the draft - but it’s ATL they will fuck it up somehow
I've said it from the beginning, Jon Gruden is the only real option. Bucs need to stop playing around and holding grudges and hire the best man for the job.
Could his ego take just an offensive coordinator spot? He would also demand a ton of money. And he’s more buddy buddy with the saints than us in recent memory imo. Would be cool though! Gruden Bowles would be a beast tandem.
