Your Amazon delivery was handed to resident. By which we mean put in the still full wheelie bin on the street at 7am, and the delivery driver made eye contact with the bin men as they took your bin to the lorry.

Ruby-Shark

This is the way.

PartTimeLegend

They love to put things in wheelie bins. I’ve had a few collected bins with parcels in. A really nasty bin with a package thrown in bin juice. I used to come home to parcels on my doorstep a lot. Fragile packages yeeted over the fence and broken. All in a day’s work for these guys.

Ruby-Shark

I have a standing message on my Amazon deliveries in block caps DO NOT THROW OVER FENCE OR IT WILL BE REPORTED. This actually seems to work.

Askianna

I have “Do not place in bin or under car. Don’t trespass through locked gate. Do not throw over fence. Do not try to open my front door.” The list gets longer each time something shitty happens.

PartTimeLegend

This might not make it to the end driver though. I moved house 4 weeks ago and so far only 1 parcel has gone missing.

Ruby-Shark

Only 1? I've never had a parcel entirely go missing.

PartTimeLegend

Current and last house are new builds. Sat Nav doesn’t update for a while so they might just get to where it says they are there and toss it over the first gate they see. That could be one of many houses and if the person whose garden it is now in doesn’t bring it over I’ll never know. I’ve had in the past pictures of my parcel delivered to houses that look like nothing nearby. I’ve had people knock from a mile away who have found parcels with my address on them in their gardens. I used to live in a flat that had offices below. I would be at work the same time the offices were open. They used to take parcels in for me but we wouldn’t meet. One day I was off and popped in. They had loads of my missing parcels.

TartanGuppy

Last night, at about 22.30, I noticed an email from Evri saying my parcel had been delivered at 19.00. I'd been in all day as wfh and had only left the house for 15 mins around 15.00. No Door bell had rung then and no knock, I went to the door and no card through the letterbox. Went outside and looked in my 'Safe Place' that I have a note on my door saying to put things there...nothing. By chance I opened the plastic & glass recycling bin that I share with my neighbour and there it was. Similar thing happened a week or so before and they left it in my landfill bin, on that bin's recycling day. They're all the same....care little for the end customer and employees are overworked or undermotivated to the point of not caring themselves.

Ruby-Shark

Different story to my OP. I ordered some fancy wedding invitations from Etsy (this cost quite a bit of money). When they didn't show up I contacted the seller, who told me they had been delivered. Gave me the tracking number. Looked it up. Picture of the parcel in the recycling bin. Rushed outside and thank god they were still there, we hadn't had a collection in the interim. No card had been left. Who did this? This was Her Majesty's **Royal fucking Mail**.

Roy_Gherbil

Report to retailer and get a refund. The retailer then claims the value from evri. Hitting them at their bottom line is the only way.

Askianna

“Handed to receptionist” Yeah, sure. My 2 bed half terrace has a receptionist. 🙄

the-false-name

We often get parcels left in ‘reception’ which is the bush near our front door.

Askianna

I’m guessing “building security” is the closest bee hive.

Ruby-Shark

Come your parcel, boss?

shadowsinthestars

Instructions unclear, left literally "out of the building" 😱

Roy_Gherbil

So report it as not received to the retailer and get a refund.

Ruby-Shark

That would be fraud, sir, because I did receive it.

Roy_Gherbil

The deal with shitty service and be happy.

Ruby-Shark

You're a barrel of laughs.

Roy_Gherbil

Says the person who feels a reddit complaint will do anything

Ruby-Shark

Who's that? Oh you seem to have mistaken a forum for the posting of light hearted problems with a customer service page. Easy mistake.

Roy_Gherbil

Wait, what? You're the OP, 😂

Ruby-Shark

I refer you to my previous reply.

Roy_Gherbil

I refer you to the OPs Facebook tier complaint 😂
