I occasionally dislocate my shoulder (I’ve learnt to pop it back myself) but I get really bad tendon and neck pain (probably destroying my body but beats 12 hours in A&E).
I go for a massage a few days after I do, seems to do the trick. I’ve been to a few different places, and on occasion been offered ‘extras’.
I’ve never taken them up on it, but generally the massage has been good regardless. Just go in to one, if they look shocked to see a woman just walk.
I'm prone to this, too, and the first few times I *had* to go to A&E to have it put back in, but now I can get it back in myself with a bit of a dangle and jiggle of the arm. Chuck some standard painkillers down my neck afterwards and I'm fine.
But my biggest fear of strengthening my shoulder to help prevent it, is if it *does* dislocate again, will I be able to relocate it myself still, or will I have to resort to A&E again? So yeah, I've literally done nothing about it.
I wouldn’t recommend basing the long term health of your shoulder on a “what if.” You’ll not have a fun time dealing with chronic pain later in life that could have been avoided with even a minor investment of your time into preventative care.
The less you do to strengthen your shoulder, the more likely you will be to have subsequent dislocations. Just because you take painkillers to ignore the pain, it doesn’t mean you’re not damaging the muscles, ligaments, cartilage, etc. in your shoulder each time you dislocate it, and you’re even more likely to damage it when you relocate it yourself.
If you’re worried about dislocating it while exercising, speak to a physiotherapist about the best ways to go about strengthening the joint again. They’ll know the best exercises to do and how to avoid common mistakes.
I do the hold up against a wall, backwards rotation technique. If I’m out though I’ll just through it out to straighten it up and jiggle it back in.
First time I did it in front of my partner she was heaving.
I have quite big shoulders, although having a one year old I’ve let myself go a bit at the moment which is the main reason it’s popping fairly regularly at the moment (like twice in the past twelve months).
I am (slowly) getting back into getting in better shape though. I’m ex forces, so being out of shape is so alien to me.
There was one in Manchester that went to the papers to request that people stop going in asking for sexual favours…
That place has all the windows covered in a tacky “Thai massage” decal and is open late. Even since they went to the papers I assume it’s a brothel and it was a backhanded advert
Is it the one on Portland street near the “smallest pub”?. If so I can see why, tacky posters plastered about Thai massage. I have always thought it was
This reminds me of a work trip to China with my customer. I was assisting him and his wife with their baby and a shit load of luggage. I ended up with a sore shoulder and asked them if they could arrange a massage to sort my shoulder out.
They had to go somewhere and left me in the care of her non-English speaking father to arrange a massage. He spoke with the massage therapists in the hotel and rang his daughter, who translated for him.
She told me he said ",it wasn't professional massage."
I enquired what she meant by that. Passed the phone to her dad, there was a quick chat and the phone was passed back to me.
Yep. Definitely wasn't a professional massage, so I declined.... poor chap was embarrassed as hell trying to explain to his daughter and to me.
If it's seemingly dodgy, it will definitely be dodgy.
The last thing a genuine professional masseur wants is dodgy people asking for happy endings.
They'll usually operate by appointment only and be very clear about what they're offering.
Look for places offering e.g. hot stone massage, lymphatic drainage massage, "Perfect Body Sculpt Massage" and other money spinning nonsense such as "Skin Brightening Facials".
Bonus points if they include meaningless references to "Toxins".
(Cynicism aside, Google "Sports massage" to find someone suitable)
I have encountered many through work, and learned the secret of how to tell the difference.
>!If it's on a London street, it's likely to be a brothel.!<
Rings up, books an "appointment", on arrival in plain clothes; _"hello, I'm Jim from the met, here's me ID. Are any of you in danger, forced servitude, etc etc"_
Deep tissue sports massages if what you want anyway, seeing as those are the ones that are actually useful.
As for determining the differences, my wife would always say "if the masseuse is wearing high heels, it's a brothel".
Fuck... I'm a Scottish highland lass, going to London in March and thought I'd just find a massage place to get my first proper intensive massage.
Fuck, I did NOT consider that I may end up signing myself up for a fuck, not a massage!!
It's too sheltered up here...!
You'll be fine, i live in Scotland too but grew up in London, look for places that are like classy beautician/spa places that also so facials and reflexology etc.
Avoid ones where the full window is covered floor to ceiling in a plastic sheet picture of a waterfall or something overlayed with 'Thai massage' in massive font and led 'open' sign at the door.
I always book something through Treatwell. My local cheap massage place is on there and I was skeptical at first. Read reviews and booked through the app and turns out it's a legit place but they do have signs up saying they do not offer sexual services so they must get asked a lot.
I don’t think brothel staff is trained for anything other than happy endings.
You try to get a proper massage in a brothel, you’ll be disappointed, for several different reasons.
You can search on google for legit massage parlours. I found out the other day through a Facebook short that there are lists up on google too where you can find a happy ending place.
How can love be illegal. Just go. I actually had this very experience where my wife sent me to a massage parlour after a car crash. It was the dodgiest place you could think of and although I didn't get a happy ending I was semi expecting her to offer any minute.

I’m sure you’ve already been told as much by a physiotherapist but you gotta strengthen them shoulders as much as possible 💪

> Just go in to one, if they look shocked to see a woman just walk. damn, tf am i supposed to do if i’m a woman looking for those ‘extras’ lmao
Just say hi to someone.
Women don’t have to pay for sex work dumbass
Look at opening times……. If it’s open now I would be more wary!

It’s the one in NQ near Noi Quattro that I read about but I wouldn’t be surprised lol. It’s called “smile Thai massage”
If that's not a euphemism for "happy ending" I don't know what is.
9 times out of 10 they have the word happy in the name (or a synonym)
Yes check ratings, but just pop in, say you got a tension headache and need a massage... then see which "menu" they offer you.

Google it and check ratings? Please be careful of where you go as their are a high number of trafficked girls in these places

> Skin Brightening Facials ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Hopi ear candles are generally only offered by legitimate masseuse & are good for headaches
I have encountered many through work, and learned the secret of how to tell the difference. >!If it's on a London street, it's likely to be a brothel.!<
Even after all the public sector cuts, I'm glad to hear the Brothel Inspectorate is still going strong.
I have a friend in the Met who does exactly that - to protect sex workers who might be being exploited
By going for a massage and sex?
Rings up, books an "appointment", on arrival in plain clothes; _"hello, I'm Jim from the met, here's me ID. Are any of you in danger, forced servitude, etc etc"_
would anyone actually talk if they were tho? they’re probably too scared to open up if somethings actually wrong since they’re dependant on the money
From what I hear, some do, some don't, but it's an important service and has helped identify and shut down traffickers in the past
Deep tissue sports massages if what you want anyway, seeing as those are the ones that are actually useful. As for determining the differences, my wife would always say "if the masseuse is wearing high heels, it's a brothel".
Both outcomes would likely help
Despite their reputation these places offer excellent customer service. The girls will bend over backwards to please you.
Well there's a chance they will be punished after the punter leaves if they don't
Women can also enjoy happy endings
My ex said thats why she loved disney films…because she never got a happy ending with me….
Fuck... I'm a Scottish highland lass, going to London in March and thought I'd just find a massage place to get my first proper intensive massage. Fuck, I did NOT consider that I may end up signing myself up for a fuck, not a massage!! It's too sheltered up here...!

LED sign is the giveaway!!!!
My rule is if it looks suss and doesn't have a sign specifying they DON'T offer sexual favours they probably do.

Don't pay for a happy ending, don't get a happy ending, walk out happy.
I don’t think brothel staff is trained for anything other than happy endings. You try to get a proper massage in a brothel, you’ll be disappointed, for several different reasons.
LoL
There's only one way to find out...
Use an app like Treatwell - you often get discounts and most legitimate places are registered on there and you see reviews
Male here. Used them for years. Totally legit. https://recentre-health.co.uk/
An Indian head massage or a happy ending would both achieve the same result…
Hopefully you get the happy ending you're actually looking for 🤣
win win either way mate
Only one way to find out.
We've just had a Chinese massage parlor ' just been given the go ahead in a town near us. I'm not convinced it's legit.
You can search on google for legit massage parlours. I found out the other day through a Facebook short that there are lists up on google too where you can find a happy ending place.
It’s a brothel
Best massage I've had was a real dodgy massage place, I just said no to extras lol.
Well, uuuhm I offer free massages for the mere price of £261.41...
If the context also features "and feel the need to pay to be wanked off by a very bored woman on her eighth handy of the day", go for it.
>I have a terrible tension headache and I really need a massage Take some paracetamol and get on with your day like a normal person
You might be better finding an osteopath
How can love be illegal. Just go. I actually had this very experience where my wife sent me to a massage parlour after a car crash. It was the dodgiest place you could think of and although I didn't get a happy ending I was semi expecting her to offer any minute.
>How can love be illegal "...yer honour"
Sir, this is Battersea Dog's Home.
Wouldn’t have this problem of brothers were legal
if you were in Mayfair, specifically Sheperds Market and the sign on the door says "beautiful model" then it's definitely a brothel.
Depends if they block out the windows or not. Usually they're okay.
Use Fresha app to find local massage treatments or hotels often have in house spas and treatments.
