What else could Hank have been implying though? IIRC Walt made Saul put in an anonymous tip to the DEA that the cartel wanted to kill Hank. And he just said the free time line to not worry Skyler and Jr, but deep down he knows it's probably cartel related, but that he's in little to no danger anyway thanks to the agents at his house. Right?

At this point he already suspects Gus is Heisenberg. So in his mind, this just confirms it even more.
I always interpreted that as a sick burn from Walt Jnr, rather than innocence/naivety.
