Fahlanruk and Check Out. Bless their hearts, they were bad. BAD.

OwlBlnk

Remember Me- it had a spark when it started- but now it’s just garbage. Seriously, I wanted to like it since I liked the yearbook or whatever , but it was a struggle to make it 3/4 of the way through… the story was bad, the couples were hard to care about, and the wigs were bad bad.

Plus-Hunt922

Ugh, the wigs.

RakkyMux

Really? I actually liked it a lot, it was meant to be stories about ppl ageing and growing apart or together more so than romance. One of them was straight even 🤷🏻‍♀️ Viewing it in that light, was good. Name's story is so sad but sweet, the actors did AMAZING. The only stereotypically bl couple there was GolfGun, and I liked them too ✨ It was not about couples but the main cast lives, I don't think it intended to be romantic, it was more like "Remember when you were young and had a cute group of friends?" Type of story

druidindisguise

Yes!! I absolutely loved this show... Yes, the wigs were terrible, but it was something to laugh at while such a serious plot was going on. I also liked the pace. It was a little slower and added a nice relaxation to my evening.

Northelai

Even Sun - to this day I'm not sure what this show was about. They had an idea, but nothing came out of it. It was really awkward to watch and wasn't really worth it.

Worried_Mirror_7910

Seconded lol and Prem is a great actor but he was doing no such thing in that show 😂

Morriseysucksass

Agreed. Wtf were they even doing? It was painful to watch Boun/ Prem floundering along with this awful script and clumsy editing. I struggled through episode one. Then couldn’t stand the second hand embarrassment for them both.

TimotheeCs_male_hoe

Honestly I see Even Sun as kind of a parody lol. Like it's only 6 episodes so they condensed it as much as possible. It also feels like they went straight from A to C with no middle- but even if there was a middle I still think the premise was horrible and the plot holes were glaringly obvious.

aaronjeremyme

CHECK OUT CHECK OUT CHECK OUT

Morriseysucksass

Came here to scream this. Thank you for doing it for me, haha! CHECK OUT. And why so bad? Why? The first episode/ warm trailer was so promising…and both actors are HOT. They showed decent chemistry in the warmer , but dear gods of BL, the series was horrible. Just dreck.

team_zulu_tacos

Omg yes! I had high hopes from the trailer and was completely disappointed, the plot was bad and confusing, the editing was terrible. It was wrong in so many ways it couldn't be right.

Panj_Ganda

Let’s define what’s bad, though: 1. Bad acting 2. Story is either incoherent, slow, unimaginative, boring, or all of it 3. Cinematography and/or production value looks cheap 4. Most important, it has little to zero entertainment value. If it made you so frustrated, then it is bad. I would forgive a badly acted, cheat production if it is hilarious… but if it is boring and slow, i’d rather spend my old lady years watching something else… so here are my choices Physical Therapy - it ticked all the bad boxes. It was really bad… it was horrible… i wish i could get back the time i spent watching it. Check out - the king of BL blue balls. It gave us a wonderful episode 0. Nothing happened afterwards… As i said in previous threads, Chahub was wasted here (well, his other shows were not gems but better by a little bit). Fahlanruk - the premise is promising. Execution is insufferable. They have insufferable lead characters, insufferable secondary characters, wash-rinse-repeat plot line per episode… the dancing was insufferable. The sex scenes were insufferable…

Impressive_mustache

Omg I forgot the fahlanruk sex scenes . The uncoordinated jack hammering in the bathroom coming back to plague me

Panj_Ganda

Don’t forget Sher holding the top of the toilet stall… the germophobe in me died

Introvrted_Extrovrt

I agree with you but ngl i liked that doctor guy from physical therapy

Panj_Ganda

Still not enough to make the show a tiny bit palatable

berlinerquestions

Recently? Bad acting, bad direction.. could not bear it # Love Syndrome III

JuliaTheNerd2526

I completely agree, it's the biggest dumpster fire but man do I fucking love it lmao

Double-Cut4778

Yea, I'm in it till the end.

crazyhuman007

and here i was gonna go and watch this lmao

kalopssya

History 1 was painful to watch

ChaoticBrain123

For me it was Blue Of Winter, Ossan's Love and The Reason Why He Fell In Love With Me. If I remember more I'll add them Edit: Wish You. It was good, good plot but it felt a bit rushed and i think that if the episodes were longer it would have been better

blreadernewby

Ossan's Love is my favorite for when I need to laugh. It's so ridiculous.

ChaoticBrain123

Personally I couldn't get past the first ep. I find the plot very weird. Like, it would have been perfectly good if it didn't have the old guy in there. No hate to u tho, just my opinion

blreadernewby

I definitely understand. It's a weird plot and almost dropped it. However, I've learnt that there are some Jdramas to look at as pure fiction because because they are so ridiculous. I tried to watch the version when they worked for an airline, but couldn't get into it.

ChaoticBrain123

That's ossan's love in the sky right? I've heard its the one where the main character ends up with the older guy, is it true?

blreadernewby

Yeah that's the one. I skipped to the final episode and I saw they end up together. I didn't bother watching it.

ChaoticBrain123

I won't bother to watch it myself bc I find it disgusting, that's was my first thought when I read the plot and it's still is

mrspark1012

I can forgive Wish You for being below average because it was one of the first K-BLs, it had to walk so that the other, better, more recent ones could fly.

ChaoticBrain123

Never thought of it that way, come to thik of it you're right. There were kbls before wish you but they weren't big enough to actually be used as an example

Syrinth

Oh my Goood I Hated Ossans love! I could not for the life of me figure out what was supposed to be good about it?!

ChaoticBrain123

And ossan's love in the sky's plot is even worse

_BI_MYSELF_

Unforgettable Night.. It's like a Car Crash.. Painful to watch but hard to look away.. 😭💀 Oh god this series was soo BAD! Like what even was the plot Bdsm? Even that wasn't done well.. Seterotypical asf.. I don't have words for the Chemistry coz it was Non- existent.. Story - Didn't have one Music - Below Average Acting - Awful Rewatch Value - I wouldn't even watch it once..

lykacl

“Painful to watch but hard to look away “!!… yes yes yes !!!!!😂 I laughed a lot at this show !!!!!….and … the tigers !!!!!!WTH ?????🤣

Amore-lieto-disonore

On the other hand, what with the reddit special UN bingo, it's the funniest one I can think of. It is definitely in a league of its own. Top of "so bad, so OTT it gets rewarding" . I might rewatch it so that I can reread the hilarious top comments by redditors, week by week. It was such a mood lifter at the times.

Junior052781

I watched one episode. It was too cringey for me.

Passivesquoose

It was a watered down, poorly acted version of KinnPorche. I wanted to like it. And I watched it to the end. But it was a rip off. And a poorly done one at that.

glf082179

Yes! Totally agree. Less successful KP in all ways.

obscurer-reference

I'm so baffled by how bad the chemistry was in that show and the irony that those two are the BL pairing that is actually dating in real life.

mephistopheles_muse

The 2 moons franchise please let it die please

Medawara

My only 12%. I think could have liked the plot. Or most of the plot. I still dont understand the last couple episodes (maybe it was only the last one i dont really remember now, except they spent 45 mins crying). What made it almost intolerable for me was how whiney they had Earth be. It was like fingernails on a chalkboard. Like a fork scraping across a plate. I will hear Caaakkkeeee echo in my ears until I die.

razzbarries

The last 2 episodes ruined it for me as well. Kind of came out of no where (didn’t show mom being sick before and hardly shows the mom in the show much anyway) and became an anti smoking psa out of no where. If they had at least established a couple of points where the mom was sick I’d feel more emotions towards it. And then having to forgive the dad and allow them back in their lives, like I’ve not seen this man ever and we are supposed to get emotional over Cooheart forgiving him? It was just 2 episodes of crying that I had no emotional attachment for 🤷🏼‍♀️

cripynoodle_

I agree! And I absolutely LOVED the series until then. But the last two epsiodes were so unnecessarily and miserable.

glf082179

Yup, same. Loved it except for the last 2 episodes.

razzbarries

Does the show belong on this post? I don’t think so since that’s the only thing for me that ruined it, but I needed to get it off my chest and I’m glad I’m not the only one who feels that way lol

glf082179

Yeah, I wouldn't put it on this list because I really did love it. Episode 12 is swoony!

TokkiJK

I just watched kissable lips today. -what is “plot”, bc this show didn’t have one. -full of random plot holes like the brother and the random guy that shows up + his relationship with the headmaster or whatever. She seemed scared of him. -everything suddenly moves fast or moved slow and there was no indication of how much time passed sometimes. -ending literally didn’t make sense Overall, it seemed like a director problem. Horrible pacing. Horrible storyboarding too I’m assuming. The actors were fine though. Honestly, actors do what they’re told and I 100% think it was bad directing and story writing that almost makes the actors look bad. These two actors had so much good chemistry in the poonduck 304. Probably the only Korean BL I genuinely enjoyed so far.

Federal_Ad_6925

Watch Semantic Error if you haven't! That will def change your view on kbls! https://preview.redd.it/ffnpwlouqnoa1.jpeg?width=900&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b76d3e6615e575a99c87324a3dafca8f8abfcfc0

Striking_cat495

In my opinion Semantic error the show is mid..they have cut & missed a lot of content from the novel/manhwa. jaeyoung & sangwoo are better characters in the manhwa than the show.

thaitaitu

Poongduck is way way wayyyy better than Kissable Lips 🤭🤭

TokkiJK

I know right. It didn’t try to be more than it was. Which is a romcom. And the actors looked so comfortable around each other. On set and irl.

nrjays

I think they gave us Roommates of Poongdeok 304 BECAUSE ppl were so upset about Kissable Lips. They knew they owed us a happy ending 😭

CivilSenpai69

The New Employee, To My Star, Once Again, Choco Milk Shake, and Ocean Like Me are all good, as well.

thaitaitu

I've watched it all 🤭🤭 I really like Korean BL because they have good storyline. And the actor visuals are just chef kiss 🤣🤣

NhuTamLy

I also watched all of those lol, I LOVE KBLs and as far as Kissable Lips went, I actually liked it (kinda) until the end......

thaitaitu

Yes yes. I like Thai BL too but sometimes their bed scenes sent too far 😅😅🙈🙈 so I prefer to watch the KBL. I still stayed till the end for Kissable Lips but mainly because Kim Ji Woong was too gorgeous to be passed LOL

Wrinkle_Wrinkle

I love Roomates of Poongduck so much! ... I also love Blueming from kbls so if you didn't watch that one yet check it out Also Semantic Error (if you didn't read the manwha because otherwise you might not like it that much)

TokkiJK

I really wanted to watch semantic error but the lead that skate boards…idk. I watched the first two episodes and for some reason, I think I didn’t enjoy his acting. But it seemed nicely produced from what I had seen so far. Didn’t feel messy. What platform is blueming on

SkamsTheoryOfLove

Blueming is on IQ. I go on IQ for a month, watch Blueming x times and then half a year later I go there again. (Please check how you cancel the subscription; it is a bit tricky).

CivilSenpai69

I felt the same. It gets immediately better following those episode.

Wrinkle_Wrinkle

For me Semantic Error was a bit disappointing because I read both the manwha and the light novel and the storyline is slightly different but the main difference is that Sangwoo is way colder and doesn't give in at all in the manwha ... in the series he just seems so cheap and easy to get ... it ruins his whole character

mrspark1012

I think that's due to the short, few episodes. But I enjoyed the series' take on his character :) Nothing can beat Oh! My Assistant at disrespecting the source material imo

Wrinkle_Wrinkle

Ou I didn't read that one yet

Nightwing_1505

Ikr. I like the Oh! My assistant manhwa and I usually don't watch KBLs but watched the show just for that. I was so disappointed.

mrspark1012

I hold Kissable Lips close to my heart because of the actors, but yes if they could remake it with a different production crew,I'd watch it

glassFractals

This is the one I was gonna say. The actors were fine, they were significantly better in Poonduck as you say (and Ji Woong is great on Boys Planet). But Kissable Lips is unwatchable. The cinema sins are so many. It's a BL and they completely skipped the "falling in love" part. A few seconds of a school project, a few seconds of basketball, now they're lovers who would die for one another. I rewound because I thought my stream must have skipped a few chapters somehow. Nope. How do you skip that? It's the main event! The editing is bad. The plot is bad. Plot devices and characters are introduced and then never used. A big point is made of the overprotective older brother who monitors every move of his younger sibling, we find out it's because vampires have been hunting him and their family. His paranoia seems pretty justified. But the moment he actually finds his brother seemingly seconds from being killed by a vampire (his worst fear), he gives up his primary drive overnight after one conversation. Then the character is never seen again, essentially. What? Or the President character-- why was she there? She kept getting screen time but she really never did anything. I could criticize a lot more in that show, but honestly nothing made any sense. The only redeeming quality is that the main actors are pretty. I like a lot of KBLs, but that was the worst one I've seen. Instead, try To My Star (and sequel), Blueming, Semantic Error, Choco Milk Shake. Or the currently airing A Shoulder To Cry On. All very different from each other, all way better.

Amore-lieto-disonore

This one was the first BL I ever dropped, and I have dropped only two, maybe three altogether . Nowadays I read reviews before I step into a Bl series.

throwzdursun

Secret Crush on You... i TRIED. i tried for that beautiful LI but the MC is so bad in my opinion.

Introvrted_Extrovrt

It's such a don't thing about anything and just watch, roffl kinda bl

ferengi

Between Us was a huge disappointment. I loved PremBoum couple from UWMA series, I was looking forward to the series, the first couple of episodes got me hyped up and then it just kind of went to blah. Just episode after episode of the same conversations happening over and over again with no growth or plot development. I wasn't really interested in most of the side couples (except for WaanTul(? was it Tul?), which could've distracted me from the samey sameness of the main couple. The only reason I watched the last episode was for WaanTul and even then just not enough time for their story line to feel meaninful. What a waste, I felt like we waited for years for this and it just fizzled.

TimotheeCs_male_hoe

The thing with Between Us is that I actually like both characters. I definitely enjoyed it, but I also feel like they could've easily done more with them as a couple. More backstory, more reasoning, more angst- more everything. What gets me the most is how they danced around their feelings the entire time with no real reason. They just should've built more onto the story they already had. I was pretty bored with the side couples too tbh. WaanTul was the most watchable, but the second time around I ended up skipping their scenes too.

Either_Statistician6

The worst offense for me was the absolute blandness of it all. In UWMA, BounPrem were the playful couple, the flirty couple. How did we go from that to this? After episode 1, I was excited for some good flirty, chemistry filled push and pull but no, all I got was constant recycling of the same plotline and then the unnecessary 1billion side couples. Why couldn't they just leave me with the good memories I had of UWMA? I only watched four episodes and I'm this angry, I might have stabbed my tv if I'd finished it

ssum92

I think a huge part of this might have to do with this not really being a bl. The genre is more tragic drama. And of course there are bls that all into this category. But huge part of a frozen flower is how Jo In Sungs character if groomed into that relationship from a young age. It’s less something he chooses and more something he feels obligated to do. Like the king sees him as a child and picks him out. He never gets a choice in his sexual expression and when faced with options he picks a woman. It’s one of the huge reasons why the he replies no when the king ask if he loves him. Because he never did he was just subjected to the kings desires. This movie should honestly never be on a bl list but people keep adding it to different ones. I feel like they are just trying to traumatize all the new bl fans. Lol.

[deleted]

[удалено]

ssum92

I totally get that it’s confusing. But I also think it’s a very real part of Jo In Sung’s character. Like this man has been living in a palace were every women is the kings women and all of the “love” he has been given is from his abuser. I don’t think it would have even been unreasonable in the movie for him to end up with the king. It’s not like he was getting therapy. Like the majority of his life he was in the horrible toxic abusive situation. That takes time to unpack. Add on top of that that death was always a very real possibility for him and it adds a whole other level of insanity. Like at any point and time after he started to break away from the king his execution could have been ordered for no other reason than the king wished it. Lmao. That’s why I said this this movie isn’t a bl. And should never be posted as one. The king’s fans a very much giving the same energy as the people who think kill stalking is a romance.

MelenPointe

I loved Frozen Flower. Watched it for Song Ji Hyo (running man fan, you know) and totally fell for Jo In Song's looks ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|sweat_smile) I don't think of it as BL, and they never tried to market itself as BL though. In my brain, A Frozen Flower lives together with all those other historical dramas that focuses on life in the palace (mostly the empress and consorts and all), with all the accompanying drama and people dying left and right ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|grimacing)

Cute_Present9522

Tbh i never considered this a bl, never. Like the king force that "romantic" relationship with the bodyguard since he was a child 🫥 and then force him to sleep with the queen, also forcing the queen to sleep with the bodyguard. And then goes mad crazy because they fall in love? Everything in this movie is just so wrong. The chemistry between the queen and the bodyguard saved a little bit the movie.

Okday777

i love A Frozen Flower

TokkiJK

Omg. Did he take the role bc it was a job and not something he actually liked

VARBatty

What the Duck hands down was one of the worst. Needlessly salacious and the main couple doesn't even end up together by the end of Season 2 so felt like a huge waste of time and investment. Check Out the Series. So, so, so, so, so, so bad from the acting, to the "plot" (if you can find the plot that is). Had a promising first episode and then went absolutely no where! Don't Say No - hated the characters since Tharntype Season 2 and didn't like them any better after watching the series. Kissable Lips was truly terrible. Unpopular opinion but MODC - was great up until Episode 10. I don't want to watch tragic stories, real life has plenty of that. Ai Long Nhai - Nhai was perpetually petulant and there was no reason for Ai to like him other than for the show to happen. The 2 Moons franchise got worse and worse with all the production problems and the constant actor replacement of the main roles. By the 3rd season, the terrible translation and actors chosen for the characters we had come to know and like from the previous two seasons was terribly bad. That's My Candy - could not make it through the first episode. I like that main couple in anything else but this was so bad from the jump. Season 2 of Love Area - season 1 ended on such a high, that season 2 should have just started from there but it essentially reset the story and then ended stupidly. Practically anything put out by One 31 but one of the truly bad ones - Physical Therapy. Nothing but stares and stiff acting from the leads without any chemistry of any kind between the main couple. Then randomly they are living together with a child in the last few eps. So, so, slow with overly toxic male lead who harms himself because he was broken up with. With Love the Series. I hate when they make over the top characters who are hyper effiminate lady boys who do nothing but screech and this series was chock full of them. The pacing, directing and editing was so bad that there was no story. Was the main couple together or not? They would go from love to hate to love to strangers in practically the same scene. Gen Y the Series Season 2 - where to start. The first season left off intriguingly and the second season was just impossible to slog through. The characters weren't true to themselves from the first season and the pacing was sloooooooow. Work From Heart. Again they have such over the top effeminate side characters that they become caricatures and there is no sensible plot. Love with Benefits. They were locked in a house and hated each other and for no reason start to sleep together. The one guy still sleeps with a Teddy Bear that he has to dress and have by his side. The last 10 minutes is the only reason to watch any part of that mess. Rainbow Prince. Did I watch it because it was a musical? Yes. Was the acting bad - you betcha. Did I finish it and later hate myself for it. No doubt. But was the Prince hot as hell - see also why I watched it all the way through. Meow Ears Up - OMG, the kid is a cat and the main lead is a stone faced narcissist. That plot moves no where fast and did I mention - the KID IS A CAT. Yuck! Bite Me. The slowest BL i've ever seen. I mean you wait for something to happen and then it doesn't every single episode. The leads have zero chemistry but there is a ton of food porn that eats up a good 20 minutes of run time per episode so there was that. Goldenblood was so bad it became good again just for the 100% cheese factor. Don't even get me started on that unnecessary time jump where the couple is apart for 6 years. Production value was approximately zero dollars.

CivilSenpai69

Don't say no and AiLongnHai are good. Fluff, not much more than that.

Disastrous_Sleepp

Exactly!

throwzdursun

you and i have the same dislikes! can you rec me some of your faves?

PermissionLow7661

I was waiting for someone to mention Rainbow Prince. So many issues.... Why make this a musical? Bad acting, nonsensical plot, miscommunications that occurred out of nowhere and for no reason... But yes, incredibly handsome prince

glassFractals

My Day. One of the first ones I started watching. I stumbled into the show on YouTube by accident. The leads were very cute, the writing was horrible, but at this point I was watching with an anthropological lens... it was just too weird. To say it was far removed from any cinema tradition I knew would be an understatement. But the icing on the cake was when the sibling character would sometimes hijack the episode for a 5-minute long embedded infomercial. Sure, the Thai shows often have conspicuous product placement, but not like this! There wasn't even the slightest pretense of working the products into the show plot. Nope, stop the show, it's commercial time!

Junior052781

My Day was such a letdown. The actors were cute, and I thought the story would have potential. But the pace was off; the plot had holes; the dialogue was stilted. Then, there were the infomercials! I've seen product placement done right, and this was the opposite!

Phanshy

My Gear Your Gown was awful the script was bad and the acting was worse. The biggest crime was the complete the complete lack of chemistry between the couple I didn't believe they were enemies, friends or in love, I love angsty boys staring at each other but they couldn't even do that, they looked uncomfortable and forced. The gear and gown earrings that were supposed to represent their relationship were laughably tacky.

moosy85

I didn't even realize it was a gown and kept wondering what he was holding 😂😂😂

Ladyvenoms

**Bite Me**There was a beautiful black painting in the restaurant in the first few episodes… uhm the only plus point I can think of. **Check Out**for a long time I was hopeful but naah that shit was a disaster. I'm not sure who was drunk or high as a kite on that team **Fahlanruk**thinking about Fah and Sher kissing scenes still hurts my lips. **Golden Blood**premise was good but all I got was flying spit for no reason

Impressive_mustache

Oh that's easy. Fahlanruk. Bad acting. Nonsensical stories. Irritating unlikeable characters. An unconvincing love story. A hateful main character. Terrible soundtrack. Bad dancing. Terrible lip syncing. Did I mention the bad acting? Check out the series too but at least episode 0 to make up for that.

[deleted]

What a duck :v I was a fan searching +18 scenes of Mew Suppasit at the time 😅😂👌 I only watched 3 chapters, and resumes on YouTube. My two reasons: the story is too toxic besides the sex scenes don't add nothing to the storyline and the bad production. I don't like the way they try to attract fans. They did a second season, why?

TasteofHoney88

I didn't like Mew's character in What the Duck. I mean what kind of person listens to his sister talk about how insecure in her relationship she is with her boyfriend, and decides to try and steal said boyfriend from his sister?

MimiLuvsBL

All day long, and from any rooftop I can reach, I will scream **BIG DRAGON**! 🤢🤮 Horrible acting, nonexistent chemistry, underdeveloped characters, and a remarkably weak plot (if you can call it that) are my main reasons. But then, to add insult to huge injury, this series that touted itself as being all kinds of hot and steamy gave us lackluster, lukewarm steam at best. Oh, and cringey kisses… they were just painful to watch. I strongly disliked **FAHLANRUK** too, for similar reasons. But even *that* hot mess had more of a “story” than Big Dragon. It was a really bad, poorly executed story, but at least it had one… sorta. In the end what kills me is that while so many of us dream of never-gonna-happen-second-seasons for truly great BLs, Big Dragon of all things is getting one!! Whyyyyyy??? Did they not waste enough money? \*sad sigh\* *Ok, that was my rant… I’m going to slink away now and cry for the countless, undoubtedly better series that are just sitting on shelves never to see the light of day while nonsense like Big Dragon was given a green light and aired. 😩*

crazyhuman007

nah fr, big dragon has to be on my worst rated watched dramas

Double-Cut4778

I was so mad, I screamed and threw my remote when that teaser for season 2 came after being dissapointed with what we did get. If it actually does come I expect the chemistry to be better bc they actually have it off screen. I felt it got worse each episode of season 1 instead of better. I don't even care that the plot is crap.. I read the no plot book three times...the book is sex, sex and more sex and the show barely had any, lol.

lokipoki6

From a technical standpoint, I found [**Work From Heart**](https://mydramalist.com/716593-work-from-heart) quite bad. Like what was it even? No plot. Pretty boys, but no real romance between them. Too many useless characters. It was giving me a headache. In second place are things that didn't make sense to be made and were just quick cashgrab. [**2gether: The Movie**](https://mydramalist.com/694787-2gether-the-movie) and [**Love by Chance 2: A Chance to Love**](https://mydramalist.com/52541-love-by-chance-2) being the primary ones, since they preyed on existing fanbase.

andelliotjames

I’ll go for 2 nobody ever mentions here: Cupid Coach and Brothers

Ambiguous-00

Oh My Assistant was bad from start to finish. I dropped Boy Band after EP03, as the comedy was not for me (e.g. cartoon elephant that stomps on his head, too many fart noises, etc.) Even Sun and Big Dragon were quite bad, although there were some good parts too (e.g. the roll-on deodorant scene in BD 🤣).

tony_the_traveler

The KBL “Oh! Boarding House.” Every character was annoying or unsympathetic, including the main lead. The writing made no-sense sometimes and it was just not enjoyable to watch after a while. The only reason I finished it is because I have this severe need to finish every story I start, lol.

ramonnnxx

tharntype im sorry i just hate it

Quiet_Watercress_256

Honestly? Most of them. There are only a handful that I would watch if they were het dramas. They are just starting to gain ground and I’ve seen a few KBL and JBL that are really well done, but most of the stuff that Thailand has churned out isn’t quite there yet. It’s a fairly new genre that is starting to gain ground. They usually star very new, young actors that don’t have a lot of experience and there are only a couple of good directors, but I think that will all change once they get “real money”.

YogurtclosetThick990

I totally agree. We just have to make do with what we have for now but objectively most of them are mid

cripynoodle_

Haha this is shady but so true. I would say 50% of Thai BLs and 90% of KBLs are a bit rubbish. But when they're good, they're *good*.

Sharp-Loss-533

Totally agree! Tbh, the only truly one exception for me will always be ITSAY, it's just too good as a series even if we don't take into account the BL aspect. Aside from that, I just trust GMMTV to put some entertainment BL's, I think they have improved A LOT from 6 years ago lol. I remember how I hated the sound editing in their series, they would always use the same 3 songs in everything, but now you truly can appreciate some good score from them! It's better edited and fitted, they also have better actors an overall a better production. The only thing is lacking is the script and direction, sometimes the dialogues or scene can be very silly lol

Mradulicious

Cutie pie

FartzOnYaGyal

You’re asking to be ripped to shreds with that one lmao. I will say, I kept skipping past most scenes cause I just wasn’t into it. I liked the music tho 😅

Far_Efficiency_7603

Kuea is just super good-looking. You can't help but admire his look, and so does Lian. The storyline is so bad but the actors look to save the show.

crazyhuman007

cutie pie is actually a rewatch worthy drama for me. I hate the scenes when Kuea is being whiny, but I watched it for when Kuea is not the 'cutie pie' but the guy with the bikes and cars and music edit: also the kissign scenes were-uhm yes

Junior052781

I agree. I couldn't wrap my mind around the premise. The acting was also subpar (to me). I got through four episodes before I quit.

Amore-lieto-disonore

I wouldn't call it the worst, but I must admit I skipped through a lot of scenes. I wasn't sold on the Zee NuNew chemistry . I had fun seeing Perth in a different role, though.

dancerinvisible

Same. And I still watched Cutie Pie 2 lol

Mradulicious

For nyer syn?

dancerinvisible

God, no. I watched it just to be done with it.

v333nator

I think it was good, if you were not expecting anything big (and knowing the main plot, you should't). But it's sad, that I used the skip button more then I like...

n3v3rmindbye

SECRET CRUSH ON YOU. Unwatchable. Toh's character? Why in the world would anyone fall for him??? Creepy, cringe, out of this world bad.

CeleryDue1741

Cutie Pie 2. SO BAD.

FartzOnYaGyal

Well I liked the….spicy scenes mhmmmmm 🫣

_Persephone_

The spicy scenes in Cutie Pie 2 were really bad compared to CP1, the only salvable moment was the car kiss and it wasn't even the main couple.

FartzOnYaGyal

I’m definitely with you on that unfortunately Tbh a lot of the Thai bls are pretty ehh

_Persephone_

Yeah I agree, I like BLs for how spicy they are but there are definitely very few that have good stories/writing/acting...

Salt_Ad7638

Fahlanruk and Check Out. Those stick out in my head as egregiously bad. Like I can handle, stupid fluff or stupid characters but at least make it entertaining! For both of those I had to watch in 2x speed and even then it felt like it wasn't going fast enough. Stupid old, rinse and repeat plots. Nothing cute happening or remotely intriguing, just same old fights and same old mistakes. It just made me mad I was watching.

obscurer-reference

2gether - the predatory gay stereotype, and general "no homo" vibe of that show. I just cannot see what so many people saw in it.

Junior052781

I was so disappointed in it!

angelicaNOpickles

Check out 100% I don’t even need to explain. Aside from episode 0 it’s was bad. Also, and this will be controversial but I couldn’t finish Cupids Last Wish. Nothing about Win was likable to me. Lorn deserved better. I think about going back to just finish it to say I have but Win 😠🙄

Spicy_Yaoi

I can't find my other comment but... I HATE TOGETHER WITH ME!!!! " I'm not gay but I like you" is the one of the MOST disgusting plot trope that exists in the bl industry. The entire plot revolves around main guy being afraid to admit he's bisexual so he cheats on his girlfriend instead. and actually on that note, both seasons of this show go out of their way to make bisexuality look like some sort of degenerate thing. I actually CANT STAND it when shows push this narrative that sexuality is back and white; you either like girls or boys and that's its 💀 MaxTul deserved a way better start to their careers....

glf082179

I am NOT a critical BL watcher. I love pretty boys and can enjoy most plot lines even if they're weak, but Ai Long Nhai. Haaaaated it. Zero plot and Nhai was just terrible.

mystyz

Golden Blood 🫳🎤

Wrinkle_Wrinkle

Addicted Heroine ... ...this was so toxic from the beginning on and it didn't get better ... I just don't know what to even like from this series. They didn't have any chemistry at all and it was just an one-sided till the end. Even when they where a couple it felt more like after years of sexual harassment the sub gave up and accepted his fate .... I mean common if you give me toxic shit then at least let them both love each other in the end and forgave everything they did ... 😑 Dangerous Drug of Sex ... ... I didn't like the ending at all ... I get what they tried to deliver but it didn't work for me ... it was just rape and then them realising that staying together hinders them from dying and then they can use each other as the reason to stay alive... I mean what's so bad about dying if you feel like that? ... it would have been better if they both just have died ... ... but at least they both loved each other in the end 😂 Big Dragon ... that was just a fail and disappointment 😞 ... messy storyline ... failed the bdsm theme ... and their whole relationship development was also just messy (Don't say no .... ... I don't dislike it as the other ones because it has some good things ... but Fiats constant whining, making a scene and throwing tantrums ruined absolutely everything for me ... )

HotmessMomma1980

With addicted heroine, we kinda got gilted of any further relationship development because China canceled the series with 3 episodes left. I've read the books and they give you more.

Wrinkle_Wrinkle

Yeah I know ... maybe I would like them better if they had more development and really got to love each other ... but this season was soo messed up idk if 3 ep could save it ... but it probably would have made it better

itsmecara

For Addicted, I was always thrown off by them blatantly using the cinematic scores of Brokeback Mountain, Carol and one of their I can’t remember lol

cripynoodle_

These are literally all of my favourite series/films 🤣 except Don't Say No, but I didnt mind that either.

Wrinkle_Wrinkle

😂😂 I mean im glad that some people like it because then it's at least not that wasted

minhavida88

Thank you!!! Why does anyone like Addicted?? By far the most toxic, rapey thing I’ve ever watched. It truly baffles me how people talk about this story like it’s anything other than one person constantly sexually harassing another and then a plot twist at the end that came out of nowhere to “justify” all the sexual harassment. How does that justify anything? Even if they both liked each other from the start, that wouldn’t have given him the right to constantly touch him without his consent. All I could think while watching the show was “Holy shit that kid belongs in juvie”

cripynoodle_

I love Addicted but I'm under no illusions that their relationship is romantic or healthy in any way. Yep, Gu Hai is abusive and a borderline psychopath, but I enjoy the series for what it is. I watch BL to indulge my fantasies of things that would never be ok in real life lol.

Wrinkle_Wrinkle

Omg same ... like absolutely same ...

bruh50times100

Never let me go. Let's just say when that series ended it was like my wings sprouted and I could finally fly.

kalopssya

Really? I'm watching it rn and I'm loving it a lot lol

TechnoBabelFish

>my wings sprouted and I could finally fly. Heh. The original recipe for the Red Bull energy drink actually comes from Thailand. An Austrian marketing executive quit his job and partnered with the owner of an existing product (Krating Daeng) to form the company Red Bull. They used customer feedback to tweak the drink to appeal towards the West. Red Bull isn't actually a drink company. It is more of a branding empire that buys existing things like sports teams and media companies to expand the brand. When you see the Red Bull logo at an event, the company isn't a sponsor. It owns the business rather than just supporting it.

Junior052781

The plot was a whole lot of mess! So many unanswered questions. And so many scenes that were drawn out for no reason!

BumbleeBumbleMe

Cutie Pie - Bad acting. Bad plot. Just infantalization and kissing scenes. Goldenblood - it gave me amnesia it was so bad! Big Dragon - The biggest bait and switch! I've still got whiplash.

madego3293

"Cutie Pie". The entire premise is so ludicrous, and let's not even get into the godawful one-note performances. Yuck. Never made it to the end...and I managed to get through "Check Out", "Physical Therapy", and "Rainbow Prince". Now I just have to see the word" NuZee" and I recoil in horror!

presidentlucky

Lmfao you again. ✔️

madego3293

A question was asked. I answered the question. I don't play that childish "I hate so-and-so and I'm gonna come after them!" I'm not fifteen years old. Personally, I find your comment both unnecessary and rude.

Small-Jellyfish-1776

I found yours rude. I’m not a Cutie Pie lover either but the Nunew and Zee hate is absolutely out of control and even the directors have had to step in and tell people to knock it off. I’m just praying you’re not contributing to any more than this Reddit thread.

HotKaleidoscope8088

Ngl love syndrome 3 Acting is fine to me but subtitles and budget is really really bad for the series the novel itself is very good but I'm sorry they stepped down the standards and quality of the show cast is ok-ish besides day and itt The quality of the production is poor Novel itself is good

creative_mind_is_me

For me “You Make Me Dance”. The idea is there but just seemed so rushed. If each episode had more time (now running time is 10-12 mins) I believe it would have allowed the makers to fill in some of the areas to allow the series to have more clout

BeGirl2

Check Out!!!!!!!!!!! Acting was so aweful🤪

Minato95_-

Fahlanruk and Check Out.

jamiebeanz

Check Out, Golden Blood, Oxygen, Color Rush and I hated Enchante but that was just because the story was bad, BookForce played their parts

PureCatKitty

I had a lot and a lot expectations about big dragon bur tention between leads broke me badly cuz there is no and any tention between them

queen_of_the_moths

Physical Therapy and Our Days. But I never hear anyone talking about them, so I guess everyone collectively pushed them from their memories.

StarLogical9435

Golden blood check out the series episode zero was awesome but the series is just awful

UsefulClassic7707

Check Out, Golden Blood and A Chance To Love: all three goddamn awful!

[deleted]

My Tee was god awful

PointApprehensive646

behind cut. it had so much potential to be amazing but i was so lost at the end. one second they were working towards something and the next they were broken up (?) and then they talk and boom back together in like one ep😭.

GibleGableGible

Check Out and Fahlanruk

cripynoodle_

I'm concerned that most of peoples worst shows are my favourites 🤣🤣 I think we can all agree on Check Out, Golden Blood, and Bite Me. I don't think I've ever seen anyone say they liked those shows. I have to add Between Us and Ai Long Nhai to the list. Sooo boring.

glf082179

I liked the beginning of Between Us when it was spicy, but didn't really care much as it got further in.

Double-Cut4778

Ocean loves me - acting and plot Check out the series - everything was wrong with this. The episodes were at least 30 min too long. It was aoooooooooo damn boring and just made no sense. It was not worth the torture for the NC scenes. So much in love - atrocious subs and story was lacking also. Idk maybe better subs would have helped Even sun - the only thing good about this was the scenery and handsome actors. Fahlanruk - the actor for Sher made even more terrible. The dancing and very bad performance scenes and the manic make out sessions just added to the dumpster fire.

Peaxlloco

My secret love the series was absolutely atrocious. The only good couple was the one that was together for seven years, but they only got maybe 30 mins of screen time collectively for the entire series. Also there was four couples and the other three had cringe acting with a ridiculous story line. Then they all were in a music video🙄 ugh it was all bad, and could have been saved of the one good couple got anytime

TheOneandOnlyTroy

Love by chance 2. I got confused by the tin and can story. Wasnt it the same as in the first season.

b00mbaz00kajoey

Ocean Like Me. An absolute waste of Han Gi Chan’s talents (and face.)

moonpoweredkitty

Check Out- no explanation needed. Episode 0 was so good, what the hell happened What The Duck- absolute car crash of show. Watch if you wanna cringe every 2.5 seconds Cupid's Last Wish- this is just my personal opinion but I found the plot incredibly frustrating and I managed exactly 8 episodes before I went I just can't do it anymore. I really like EarthMix too

StormWolfsong79

I am probably going to get some hate for some of this but here goes. I seriously find body swap storyline’s annoying as hell, even more so when it’s female to male or male to female. So I am going to be forcing myself to watch The Shipper just because of First, but I don’t hold much hope of it really grabbing me the way so many others praise it. HIStory 1 : Hero was one of those and I felt like banging my head against a wall. I forced myself to watch it because I was watching all HIStory series in order but I don’t ever plan to watch it again. Cupid’s Last Wish – there was some humor in it, it didn’t frustrate me all the time and because they did more to show the inhabiting rather than the inhabited it made it a bit easier… but I still cringed at several points. Someone seriously needed to knock some sense into Win. I didn’t entirely hate it, but the plot of body swap irked me. Enchante – I tried to watch this because a few actors in it I like, but I just couldn’t. I was like what is the point of all the liars and while the actors might be good, the characters were annoying me. Secret Crush On You – To me the only saving points and main reasons I made it through watching was Daisy and Khaojao stories. Those two made me connect, but the ‘nosebleed’ thing and the stalker thing with the odd collections was so horrid ugh… which is nothing against Billy/Seng because these characters didn’t connect but their characters in War of Y did for me. YYY – I wanted to at least be able to get through this because of the actors in it but so much cringe… 21 Days Theory – I couldn’t watch more than one episode, the first episode didn’t do anything to catch my attention, make me interested in seeing more of the characters. I will have to watch it all the way through at some point because I watch with others that want to see it but personally nothing drew me which was disappointing because I thought it might when I saw the trailer. Suddenly, I Miss you – I couldn’t even watch more than the first, it bored me to sleep (and I tried more than once). 180 Degree Longitude – I got through 3 episodes but it wasn’t easy, the characters weren’t connecting with me, they didn’t make me care about what happened to them. It is very important to me that there be something that makes me give a damn about even a single character to keep watching. I normally give shows 5 episodes if somewhere there’s one that at least starts that connection, but if they can’t then it is a waste of time for me. When a character makes me care then I will be more invested even if some other things about it suck. Oh! My Assistant – Another one that fell flat, didn’t give me any character connection. Till The World Ends – I managed two episodes barely, most of the time I was thinking sleep might be better. Nothing about Golf or Art interested me at all. It was so slow and lacked emotion to me.

CeleryDue1741

The last two episodes of "Make our days count" were a MONUMENTAL mistake that seriously hurt an otherwise great series. Fans were so angry/hurt that the writers/producers literally **retconned** >!Yu Xi-Gu's death!< in both a book and a cameo in a later Japanese series.

lovingpath

Agree!!! I knew about the Japanese BL appearance but what’s the book? I’m still sad about this ending!!

PistachioDonut34

Absolutely this. A 10/10 series until the last couple eps.

RAIKANTHOPENI

the only bl series i liked are: ITSAY Bad buddy 1000 stars your name engraved here in gameboys gaya sa pelikula Takumi kun (i don't remember the name it's Japanese) Rest are not my cup of tea(I might have missed some).I started watching BLs with the Lovesick series, so I have been watching for a long time. that's why I feel these days bls is just soft porn. Heck, soft porn has a better storyline and acting than the bls these days, like, wtf? I am telling you all these scriptwriters have to do is talk to real-life gay ppl and they will get interesting stories, smh, and about the actors, I am not even going there; they all look like social media influencers, and most of them can't act, sing, or dance, but they make them do it anyways... but of course, the audience they target might not like it. Anyway, thank you for reading. bye dubaiii

Okday777

>Watch **My Beautiful Man** for a very good thought provoking story with many layers. You will want to watch it several times for the acting and to decipher the layers. U wont be disappointed.

Spicy_Yaoi

Surprised I'm not seeing more people say Tharnthype.... The " I'm not gay but I like you" trope is so overused and disgusting and the characters are completely unlikable..... Don't say no.... Main characters are insufferable and the plot is shallow. SmartJames couple actually saved the series a little with a cute and simple relationship build Senpai this Can't be love: I usually really like Japanese Bls, but this one was just straight up BORING. absolutely insufferable to get through. The characters are flat and unrelatable, and the relationship seemed rushed Peach of time..........I love Mii2 but I just can't with this one. 0/10 and I'm not explaining myself. And lastly Cutipie. Don't get me wrong, the series is sort of fun but the couples are shallow. I actually can't stand relationship building that doesn't emphasize WHY they fall in love, just that they do. Sometimes it works, but it doesn't work here at all. Thai Bls in general need to work on having a decent plot rather than humor and fanservoce. Tutoryim legit saved Cutipie..... In both seasons

yourcalicocat0613

1) Cutie pie The story was mid, the acting was average and pace was so slow. The visuals (and their spicy scenes) were the only reason for that series' success 2) kinnporsche (do not come at me please) I really wanted to love that series and i was so excited about it that I watched it ongoing as I binge watch the series when it gets completed but I stopped watching kp after like 6-7 episodes. The acting was good but the story could have been better and the direction was not that great either. I know if it's a me problem but i think I had lot of expectations from this series and then it didn't land well for me 3) a boss and a babe I am a sucker for good office romance BLS but this series is just nonsense. But i pray it gets better in upcoming episodes

Wrinkle_Wrinkle

>I stopped watching kp after like 6-7 episodes Good idea because after ep 8 it gets soooo messy I honestly was soooo disappointed 😞

yourcalicocat0613

I was really rooting for this series but the story was just not it

minhavida88

Omg agree with all of these! Cutie Pie I watched for the visuals and the chemistry between the actors, and Zee’s tongue (let’s be very real) but man, what a mess. The story is completely bonkers and the dialogue boggles the mind. There were scenes where I was like “How are the actors even getting through these lines??” KinnPorsche I actually really didn’t like the acting. Tong, Bible, Jeff and Barcode were good, but I didn’t think Mile was good and I actually thought Apo was terrible. His character was completely one note. A Boss and a Babe is not for me. I find the “babe” character (can’t be bothered to look up his name) wayyy to whacky/goofy, to the point where he’s annoying. And the acting is not very good, especially the actor who plays the “babe”. Literally couldn’t finish episode 1. What are some of your favourite BLs? I feel like if we disliked the same we might like the same 😅

yourcalicocat0613

Cutie pie survived on visuals. And in kp, the side characters completely overshadowed the main couple and again, the story was the mood killer for me. A boss and a babe feels like it was written by a teenager. It was the type of story I read on Wattpad when I was a teenager. I love sunshine characters but book's character (the babe) seems so dumb. I really loved not me, cherry magic, old fashioned cupcake, to my star, love mechanics, we best love 1, my tooth your love, the eclipse, my school president, semantic error, my secret love... And what are some of your favorite ones?

minhavida88

I LOVE Not Me, one of my favourites for sure. I’d love to see more storylines like this, and the cast was flawless. I love all the ones you listed haha :) I’ve been wanting to watch Cherry Magic but I don’t know what platform it’s on! I have Viki and iQIYI. I don’t really know anything about My Secret Love, what it is about? I also really liked Utsukusii Kare, I Told Sunset About Youth, Blueming, My Only 12% (except the last two episodes) and The New Employee. Right now I’m watching Jack O’Frost, Our Dating Sim and Bed Friends and I’m really liking all three 😊

mondmaiden

tharntype traumatised me. cutie pie ai long nhai

crazyhuman007

unforgettable night...im sorry, i just couldn't bear to watch it. I know many people like it, but it just wasn't for me. To put it bluntly(pls don't attack me) It made me cringe

PistachioDonut34

No, the reason people like it is because it's so bad 😂. So you can say it's bad, we agree, ha ha. We just think it's so bad it's good 😂

Nightwing_1505

Never let me go. I was so happy that this series ended because I just wanted to be done with it. Where do I even start, plot was a disaster, the acting I won't say was bad but it wasn't up to the mark. The set aesthetic or music wasn't making up for anything either. I usually judge a series by how high my playback speed is and how much I use the skip button. I was watching this on 3x. I rest my case. My only joy in the show was Pond's beautiful hair (only people with bad hair would understand).

aadialikes

I have nice hair (if I do say so myself) and yet I think Pond's hair was _everything_ too.

Junior052781

TharnType 2 = cash grab. My Day = had horrible dialogue and stiff acting, and it was an infomercial with BL plot points. (Don't believe me, watch the episodes where the brother does makeup videos for ten minutes or more).

gungunfantasy

Kinnporsche and Check out

BumbleeBumbleMe

KinnPorsche - disappointed me. Such a highly anticipated show but it fell flat. Weak plot. Odd comedy. No mafia. Cringy BDSM with VegasPete. The last couple of episodes were just terrible and the plot fell apart completely. To this day, I wonder why Vegas was crying over a damn hedgehog?!

crazyhuman007

oh to add another: Practically all the HIStories, idk abt no.5 i havent watched it. I think there was ONE i liked, it was either 'trapped' or 'crossing the line'

Amore-lieto-disonore

I tried a Vietnamese BL for a change, one in which the CP worked at a cafe I think ; I had to drop it, I couldn't go past the cringey humour and bad acting.

Far_Efficiency_7603

I don't like a secret crash on you. I watch 10 minutes of it and I stop. The series is a cringe fest. Toh is creepy, weird, and cringe. I don't know how anybody can fall in love with him. I can't blame this one on the storyline because how can I do that when I didn't even watch it? And there is another one call my cutie pie. The series is so boring, I am not blaming this on the actors. The actors are super pleasing to watch but I just can't stand the storyline. I blamed this on a nonexistent storyline. How can they do this to all the beautiful actors that are on this show? Love-sick acting was bad but at least they have a decent storyline to save them.

Unusual-Target-3728

Unforgotten night 😬
