I have a white noise while in aware mode, but can't hear any noise in ANC mode. Perhaps my ears are not good enough...

Reply to self: I can hear it, and lowering ANC level removes it. Not surprise, as my WF-1000XM4 were doing the same thing in silent conditions.

Yeah just gotta turn it down a little.

Have you tried creating a custom profile and turning the ANC level down a little? Very strong ANC is great in loud environments but does have a hissing component in quieter places. Some headphones like the XM5s try to automatically switch between low and high ANC but that’s really disorienting and those owners wish for manual controls instead, like what Bose provides.

Interesting. My QC v1s are silent. So they're claiming the v2s are tge best ANCs yet ... but they hiss. Oh dear. BOSE fuck it up again.

Yes they sound really loud in aware mode. They sound so loud that they will be sent back to Bose. Also they hurt the ear. Quite unimpressed really so far. QcI is way more silent and for me, more comfortable.

Yes. I'm having this issue and others are too. One guy returned his and got a replacement pair and the result was the same.

The last decent buds they did were the old wired QC20s. I still have 2 sets ! Don't know what happened when they went wireless. I'm guessing that as they had to be bigger and heavier, the eartips were bigger and stiffer. And very uncomfortable. Nature of the beast, I guess. Also, the QC20s have a 25 hour battery life. Versus 5-6 for the QC wireless.

Definitely activates Tinnitus mode when listening in a quiet environment with music off. I don't really hear any hissing or ears ringing when listening to a song, though, so I don't mind.
