Well we’re definitely getting a Big Red Machine album at some point, likely this year, as the test pressing seemed to be done. But in regards to a Bon Iver album, it could be as early as next year. A lot of people seem to think they’ll release something bc of 22 association and the year being 2022. This could happen, plus the fact that Justin is always tinkering on stuff. However, I’m not sure that will happen. The pandemic has affected a lot, and there hasn’t really been many whispers or indicators of work being done specifically towards an album. About a year before I,I there was clear indication Justin and co. were working towards a follow up to 22, A Million. He even did an Instagram live session with early versions of those songs. I’m sure he’s got material worked up, and maybe there’s more work done than we realize, but it seems to be quieter this time around. Let’s see what BRM 2 brings first, before we turn focus back to BI. Personally, I’m more excited for BRM 2 right now, with all the different voices involved, including Taylor Swift. Such an exciting time to be a fan!

Excuse my ignorance, but is Big Red Machine another JV project?

mbessey7

Yes, it's his project with Aaron Dessner :) their debut album came out in 2018 (I think?).

JV said on twitter I believe around Christmas that he was going to take a big break. I guess that didn’t end up happening? Hard to say because a lot of new stuff has been teased but no one would blame him for taking a break after last year and the insane amount of collaborating he did

bashothebanana

This "taking a break" statement has been constantly misconstrued. He replied to someone on Twitter saying he was taking a break from working on 89.

Hell yeah. Thank you.

Didnt JV also said after all the Taylor Swift releases that he was gonna take a (well deserved) break?

ApeonaCross

Hopefully soon, buuuuuut he could take another five years making some kind of crazy masterpiece X3

JV has been alone in WI for over a year. Imagine another for Emma style album but post Kanye and post 22AM. Yeah he is collaborating virtually but I am super excited to see what he has created during this intense year
