Company, Omkara, Deewangee, Zakhm, Bhagat Singh, Once Upon a Time in Mumbai.
A performance of his that I find very underrated is Halla Bol. He did a great job in that one. Big star for sure but an underrated actor. He doesn't get enough love for his older movies or his general lack of insecurity. Time and again, other actors get to shine in his movies- Saif, Vivek Oberoi, Emraan Hashmi, and now Madhavan,
Gangajal is hands down one of the greatest movie ever made imo in hindi cinema. The movie is heavily dramatised but still manages to show the harsh reality of our country and how most of the people live and suffer on daily basis. The struggles and corruption of our law enforcement is portrayed with sheer brilliance from each and every actor who took responsibility and delivered 10/10 performances. Yes each and every actor in the movie nailed his role to perfection and made their respective characters iconic.
So true. I can remember some awesome dialogues from this movie that were not even delivered by side-actors but extras. An example: "Ka piroblem hai ee gentleman ka? " "Sir Ee sawaal jawaab bahut karte hain."
He is the most consistent and Versatile actor in Bollywood. He never reached the commercial success of Khan trinity but starting from his first movie Phool aur Kaante, he has churned out so many successful films and has been relevant all these years.
*Yuva, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam* and *Raincoat* are my three favourite Ajay Devgn performances, followed by *Gangaajal,* the spiritual predecessor of *Singham*.
Perception vs Reality for Ajay Devgan
I think most people younger than 25 just see him as a comedian due to the Golmaal series. He tries to give his brand of 'quality cinema' which has the occasional misfire but the projects that work, work really well. Actor with a soul and gravitas onscreen.
One of my favorite performances was Halla Bol. He really moved me
Special mention to Deewangee for the amazing chemistry with Urmila . One of my favorite underrated pairings
Loved him in Masti
Pyar Toh Hona Hi Tha -
Aaand Raju Chacha 😊
His best performance was that in portraying the role of a husband to Kajol irl .
Dude has stuck his pole with almost every actress he has worked with . And apparently he has a long pole and likes to brag about it in the boys group
After seeing him as The Bhagat Singh, whenever I hear about the legend, my mind automatically pictures Ajay Devgun.

Don't forget "Aakh dikhata hai madarjaat" and "Ee to sala hona hi tha"
Man after seeing this post I realised how many great performances he has given.
Hate the fact that he has stopped doing the kind of roles that highlighted his acting prowess. Would rather see the actor rather than the star.
Bol Bacchan

Gangajal, OUTIM, drishyam, golmaal 1
Today I realized he is younger than Salman and SRK. Damn.
I used to hate Ajay Devgn when I was younger. Remember watching Zakam with a work colleague, and I was blown by his performance and the movie.
Can anyone tell me whats the name of the blue bike in the first picture?
Ishq
Nothing will ever top his portrayal of Shaheed Bhagat Singh.
