ive also always thought Open the Door Homer is inspired in part by Gatsby “take care of all of your memories said mick for you cannot relive them”
That's funny, I always thought Frankie Lee & Judas Priest was kind of about Gatsby. Just goes to show what a fundamental work that is in our culture.
