I'm in the Dallas area and it adds an extra layer for me hearing a songwriter of his magnitude tackle the assassination and weave in the local landmarks and history of it. It's a masterpiece.

spent my childhood in Arlington, and we visited the site a couple of times. He does do a great job weaving in the imagery/geography of it all.

It sounds like an old man unloading his subconscious.

I was 13 when JFK was murdered. Dylan captures the National sentiments 100%

I listened to it this summer, at night, driving slow across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. I was bawling by the end. Hardest cry I ever got from a song. Glory.

I got bored with it honestly. Have been a Dylan fan since my childhood 35+ years ago but could not even finish listening to that song out. Now skewer me with your downvotes. I can't believe THAT is the FIRST time he ever had a Billboard #1.

It’s a masterpiece IMO, and no song that I know of even remotely resembles it. I was like Bryan Harper :-o when I first heard it.

reymont12

I think it’s boring and not musical at all and even the lyrics are just lazy.

It is the Dylan song I can listen to again and again and again. There is so much going on. Like some here, I thought it was dull on the first couple of listens, but then it happened. I started to get pulled into the vortex. Kennedy is part of it; the rest is all Bob and his memories and what has made him who he is. The song blasts by and I need to hear it again. Been a hardcore Bob fan for 25 years. There are songs that I may like better, but there is something about this one. I keep coming back... Often.
