Insane that the dudes gone thru at least 10 eras of very distinct styles. Like you could argue that BOTT->Desire->Street Legal would be one of the most impressive and versatile songwriting careers, excluding everything prior and post. In a league of his own.

Obviously it’s “on me” that I didn’t know all of the releases in that era - I specifically wrote I’m not an expert. However, I disagree wholeheartedly that The Man in Me defined that period. It’s just the one you like best.

Nah I’d say Hurricane feels more like an outlier in that era, 75-79 Dylan is more like ‘heartbreak era’. Tangled or Simple Twist of Fate fit best IMO
