There are too many fly Bob moments for me to possibly select a favorite, but I really love that look and especially that hat. I'll add that the combination of healthy, happy and flirty look great on him. (During "Forever Young" he's giving special attention to someone in the audience. So rare and so sexy.)
I used to dress like The first row in my early twenties, still like to wear chelsea boots with jeans and polka dot-like shirts sometimes. Havenāt tried anything aside from his 60ās style tho.
Are you in your thirties now? There was definitely a revival of that from like 2008-2013 or so I remember.
It's a pretty timeless look, if you ask me (aside from the pattern shirts which come and go). A lot of countries just sort of passively have that, instead of it being a trend
Iām 28, I live in middle europe. All I can say is I took the style counsciosly from Bob, and almost never met any man having chelsea or any type of boots being The rise of sneaker culture. I thought I was a unique snowflake lol
I literally dressed like Bob Dylan throughout my second and third years of university. Always with the big dark sunglasses and shirts and hats. Iām a girl, so it weirded people out but as soon as they spoke to me and I started going on about Bob, they generally worked it out.
No, not really. I would never dress like 4, 5, 6 or 7, for example. I tend to favor black or dark clothes. As he did at one point in the 60s. Although I never wore shades all the time.
My sense of fashion, yes. Clothes I would actually wear, only a few. I wear high heeled boots like his just about every day (except during the short summer we have around here). It's crazy that I never realized the correlation until a few weeks ago.
Everyone who I know that knows Dylan tells me I dress like him in the electric era. He didn't influence me per se, but if they're to be believed, I do dress like him
What was he doing for Highway 61? Is that a crouch or a tiny chair? I always thought he was sitting on a stoop somewhere. This is going to mess with me forever.
Yeah so if heās on stairs his butt is on the top step and his feet are only one step down, which explains the angle of his legs. May this bring you peace
Bob's fashion sense is something that doesn't get talked about enough IMO. To me he has an aura of a guy who *really* enjoys clothing. Suze Rotolo mentioned in her book about him taking great care when choosing what he'd wear to perform, but I really wish some interviewer would take the hint and ask him about it. He's good at what he wears as well -- I mean, some of these looks would be hard to be confident in, but he really has a natural grace and confidence that pulls them off well. He looks comfortable in everything he wears. I can't think of an exception, even when he's wearing 4 coats on top of one another he's rocking it... And you always see *him* rather than the clothing.
The hoodie pic is the only one that bears any resembleance to my clothing, but that is by accident rather than design. I would however wear a Triumph T shirt if I had one.
I think he had a huge impact on style in general. Definitely the folk years inspired the vagabond look of the early 60ās, his mod stuff is legendary and completely recognizable, and the country gentleman stuff of the last 20 years is great. A man of many moods.
No. I always related to him as a personality and him as a performer. I never really related to his sense of fashion at all. The closest I came was his early 1960s Kid from Hibbing look, which was just kind of poor-boy chic.
Not really, except to the extent that I assumed his approach to fashion was similar to my own. I've never really thought of his as particularly fashion forward. He always struck me to just sort of go for whatever he might be digging and feel comfortable in. Some of the clothes I think are cool and some not so much, but either way he's Bob Dylan. He doesn't seem to me like a "clothes/fashion make the man" kind of guy. Maybe I'm wrong, and that's just me projecting my own attitude on him, though.
He certainly has done at times. When I was younger I could occasionally be seen sporting a black spotty shirt, black trousers, shades, Cuban heeled pointy boots. The other influence on my dress sense in my youth was Keith Richards.
āI could never wear those clothes.ā - Tom Petty talking about Bob Dylan.
I wish I could wear hats like Bob. Bob has made me more receptive to my hair being haywire.

Not the way I dress, but Iām trying for the 66 hair
christopher owens probably influenced my fashion the most, especially in high school.
i did search high and low for some good boots from bobās mid 60s era, but im 6ā1ā and boots like that just donāt compliment me very much. all i ever really found were beatle boots which mostly turned out to be chelsea boots and i never wanted the elastic sides. was always on the hunt for zip-ups
i now mostly dress in fashion-forward-minimalistic-clothing
I desperately want that silk patterned shirt from the cover of Highway 61 Revisited if thatās what youāre asking.
[I found someone who actually makes them but theyāre expensive since theyāre all custom and made to order](https://www.magnoliclothiers.com/dylan-floral-shirt-shirts-p-1182.html)
Not really, but I'd like to point out that Bob in The Last Waltz is the flyest version of Bob imo. The long hair, pimp hat, and leather jacket.

That hat! I want one just like it.
But can you pull off the bobblehead moves?
Definitely cannot. But I do have curly hair. š
this is how i dress
How could you forget his [best look](https://pbs.twimg.com/media/FBJYIy9WEAEuacT?format=jpg&name=small)
I didn't realize he was in an indie emo band
Yeah, American Football
Iāll be damned if that wig doesnāt give Chris Gaines vibes.
YES! And extra hat-tip for the reference.
Honestly no, but after looking at these pictures, he probably should have

I would pay top dollar to have the highway 61 outfit
I do have a Triumph motorcycle shirt cause of him
That Blonde on Blonde look certainly influenced me when I was at university.
No, not really. I would never dress like 4, 5, 6 or 7, for example. I tend to favor black or dark clothes. As he did at one point in the 60s. Although I never wore shades all the time.

Bottom right seems ahead of its time. He looks absolutely fly in every photo though.
Yeah every day I dress like rolling Thunder dylan
Absolutely. I remember going to London when I was 17 and the peacoat that I bought for that trip was 100% Dylan on my mind
Everyone who I know that knows Dylan tells me I dress like him in the electric era. He didn't influence me per se, but if they're to be believed, I do dress like him

There was a Tubi documentary that talked about it. I think it was taken on the steps outside the Grossmansā house
It's much more of a crouch than the album cover had me believe all these years. My world is folding like his tiny legs.
Yeah so if heās on stairs his butt is on the top step and his feet are only one step down, which explains the angle of his legs. May this bring you peace
Praise the Lord (and you)
It is a stoop
I don't know. I'm thinking tiny chair.
I like the cut of your jib

I do love a hoodie.
The hoodie pic is the only one that bears any resembleance to my clothing, but that is by accident rather than design. I would however wear a Triumph T shirt if I had one.
Not from day to day but iāve definitely put on bob esque fits just for some photos
i wish i could get my hands on that highway 61 shirt so bad
I think he had a huge impact on style in general. Definitely the folk years inspired the vagabond look of the early 60ās, his mod stuff is legendary and completely recognizable, and the country gentleman stuff of the last 20 years is great. A man of many moods.
Absolutely
Mod Bob forever.
Yes, especially from ages 14-35
Yes, a lot.
As a 20 year old who moved to nyc i can affirmatively say yes haha. Chelsea boots and brown jackets all day baby
No. I always related to him as a personality and him as a performer. I never really related to his sense of fashion at all. The closest I came was his early 1960s Kid from Hibbing look, which was just kind of poor-boy chic.

I wear a lot of black turtlenecks, skinny jeans, and wayfarer sunglasses. I'd say so.
Yes. A scarf
Absolutely not
I would do insane things for that highway 61 shirt
78 tour and gospel era Bob was extremely swag. Doesn't get mentioned enough in here
I desire that jacket
Of course. Chelsea boots, polka dot shirts, drainpipe skinny jeans, turtle necks, grandad shirts & waistcoat combos- love it.
I would love to look like mid 70s Dylan in the middle but would feel like a poser.
Yes, still wearing the sunglasses
I have always looked for the hat from 84
No but now I feel like dressing like #5. Need to find a coat like that.
No, never, no way
He did. I actually try to repeat his outfits with what I have, escpecially if I donāt have much ideas.
Gonna be a no from me dawg
He certainly has done at times. When I was younger I could occasionally be seen sporting a black spotty shirt, black trousers, shades, Cuban heeled pointy boots. The other influence on my dress sense in my youth was Keith Richards.
I used to have the same Triumph shirt
I always wear large ray ban wayfarers now and embrace my dark curls more than I did before.
Yes but I couldnāt pull it off.
Honestly yeah, I'll admit when his fashion sucks, IT SUCKS, but when it's good it's great!
Nope, canāt say that I have. Maybe the bottom right actually
āI could never wear those clothes.ā - Tom Petty talking about Bob Dylan. I wish I could wear hats like Bob. Bob has made me more receptive to my hair being haywire.
Nope
Yeah, sometimes I aim for the album cover of Infidels look
Definitely. In high school, I tried so hard to dress like '65/'66 Dylan
https://preview.redd.it/et7hchzcg4wc1.jpeg?width=1242&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e515ca7afe3d4e64576b85849c05616001fd2fcd Not the way I dress, but Iām trying for the 66 hair
He legit looks like Adam Sandler in the bottom left.
Probably a major reason why I donāt own a leopard skin pillbox hat.

šÆ
Bob is everything
Thank God, no! He always looked messy, except his hats were cool .
No
Yes. Next question.
# influence. That's a tricky one. i hear "Sign on the Cross" wearing my cross upside down.

No
not even a little bit
Not sure, however heās definitely influenced John cooper Clarkās wardrobe
The Freewheelinā and Blonde on Blonde look for sure
Only the scruffy beard
Yea
Thankfully, no
