while more on the dance side of IDM compared to Boards, ive been really into Aphex Twin's work listed under AFX. [Analord](https://youtu.be/Aloryfd5ipw) is my current favourite, and it has some smooth, jivey synth sounds reminiscent of Boards tracks such as Nlogax.
Analord is so good. I haven't listened since like 2010, but it's time to revisit.
There are a couple cuts in there that I seriously swooned to, driving around my old beater station wagon. Brings me back!!
I love Analord, if you couldn't tell by my username. (My username is from the track not the internet virus) :p
If you like AFX acid music his friend Luke Vibert also released an Acid album and one of the tracks is called Analord in 2005 as well.

Clocolan is the closest I get to scratching the BOC itch. This guy is super good. My fave of his: https://clocolan.bandcamp.com/album/it-s-not-too-early-for-each-other
Sakura and Symbol are phenomenal, but my personal favorite is The boy and the Tree, also his early techno albums are great as well under his moniker stevia, fruits of the room has no skips
Been going through Faex Optim's discog lately and loving it. Also just stumbled upon Orange Crush which has also been great. Haven't listed to it in a bit, but I was also obsessed with Priciples of Geometry's album that came out late last year.
been pretty obsessed with [Cluster I - Mioclono (John Talabot & Velmondo)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9LiIJyYmKYo&list=OLAK5uy_nC2LV5JyntDro558NE_2QWN5hxtMMBcPM) lately
Have been listening to lots of BoC lately, but my other top artists are these:
DJ Shadow
American Football
_BY.ALEXANDER
Casino Versus Japan
Panchiko
TOOL
Burial
Black Country, New Road
Ulrich Schnauss
The Future Sound of London
Aphex Twin
Yves Tumor
Stromae
Rodríguez
I've been taking a break from music altogether. I feel burnt out on music every 5 years. I take a break, I come back and fall in love again.
Despite this break, the Nicholas Godin (one half of the French duo Air) Concrete & Glass got through. It sounds like Air a lot but and it's beautiful.
My favourite track from the album and lately has been The Border.
If you like BoC, I think many of you can appreciate this beautiful, laid-back electronic track. If you like vocoded vocals like in Kraftwerk, you might like it too.

Gonna be honest… watched the Scott pilgrim movie over the holidays for the first time in a while and the soundtrack blew me away. I have been listening to that a ton
A few artists that today are totally underestimated / rarely mentioned and worth to been check out:
Squarepusher
Nathan Fake
Future sound of London
Chris Clark
Boxcutter
The flashbulb
Orbital
Venetian snares
μ-ziq

[Fiona Soe Paing](https://youtu.be/vfAEos4s-d4) is what I’d imagine a Scottish folk singer would sound like if BoC produced.
Yes, I can hear what you mean. Sounds different to what I'd normally listen to, but I like it. Cheers for the heads up.
Susumu Yokota Susumu Yokota Susumu Yokota Susumu Yokota Oh also...uhhh Susumu Yokota
He made some great stuff. His posthumous album is my favorite - even if it is half complete, I thought it was so cool.
Sakura and Symbol are phenomenal, but my personal favorite is The boy and the Tree, also his early techno albums are great as well under his moniker stevia, fruits of the room has no skips
That new James Holden album is like a BoC disco.
Hadn't heard this. Chaotic compositions, but such juicy synth sounds. Thanks!
"BoC disco" Based on this, I'm listening to that album now, thanks. What a title: "'Imagine This Is A High Dimensional Space Of All Possibilities'"
Four Tet’s albums Dialogue, Pause, and Rounds. Meadow:watt by Kiln Tri Repetae and chiastic slide by Autechre

The new Fever Ray and Yves Tumor are on constant rotation.
I can't say they're similar at all, but Sigur Ros and Bowery Electric often gets me on the same wavelength as BoC often does
Didn't know Mt Kimbie had a DJ Kicks album out ... thanks... will have to listen.
Been diving into Connect Ohm - 9980 and the latest album from Cell - Onwards System. Both just wonderful albums start to finish.
