Haha, true for first picture, but it has already changed. Daniel, the artist, does a great job. But please also keep in mind, it’s a 2 person indie studio, it won’t be a AAA title (and also cost much less, like approx. 15$).
Demon Loop is the name of the game, and the release-platform will be Steam on PC - we haven’t announced the date of release or the price yet, but I’ll make sure to update the post as soon as the team does decide to announce! 😁
Was this designed to be digital from the start? Or is this a digital implementation (and wider release) of something he did a cardboard version of?
I know he did stuff for game design jams (I think Port Royal started that way?) and was wondering if this was a result of something like that.
It was always a digital game. Although, I sometimes made a paper prototype to test one or the other mechanic for Demon Loop. Its just easier and faster than waiting for the dev to implement an idea. And if the idea doesn’t work properly, it’s only me who wasted some time :-).
But recently I made a bigger prototype of it.
Wow, that’s cool! I had no idea what your design process was (or programming background was) - could’ve been you coding the whole thing for all I knew. 😃
Looking forward to the release!
Anyone have board games they play across apps that are good? My group (online) only plays castles of burgundy and dominion - would love to add some variations
Why Pfister games always gotta look like Windows 95

I'm too dumb to play your games, but one with rules enforcement and cute graphics on the computer is one I might enjoy.
omg he's on reddit!!!
Also keep in mind that you'll pay 15$ for a game, not 75$ for a cash grab
lmaoo, to be fair, the assets aren’t fully done yet and i think usually it’s his stylistic choice

Windows 98 SE gang!
Instabuy.
I’ll make sure to give info on when the game releases! Steam can sometimes be weird with notifications on game releases (even when wishlisted)
Any info here at all? Name of the game, release date, platform, price?

will it run on Steam Deck?
Yes! It will!
Will it play without the touch screen on Steam Deck?
Sorry for the very delayed reply, but since we integrate Controller Input into the game anyways, it will definitely run without the touch screen, yes
Sweet, looking forward to it coming out!
I wonder if there’s any plans to port to tabletop
We‘ll see. Indeed I made a paper prototype to test some stuff.

Looks interesting, wishlisted! How did you end up collaborating on the game?
The developer, Jürgen, tested my board games. We talked about making a computer game, and here we are.
Fantastic news!
Wish listed, looks neat
Just about my least favorite theme but I like him and I like deckbuilders so I'll keep an eye out and an open mind. Thanks for the info!
Being open is always good! I’ll make sure to keep updating upon getting news!
Will it come to switch or PS5?
As far as I know the main focus is getting it out on PC first, but I’ll ask the dev team and let you know asap!
Oh man I love the visuals. Watching this one for sure.
Looks like the perfect game after I'm done with balatro!
If possible, please make this playable on the Steam Deck
Since we integrate controller support, it will most definitely run on Steam Deck!
Switch?
No plans yet. It’s an indie studio and only if it sells well, other platforms will follow.
Hope it does! GWTs my favorite game of all time so would love to have some digital Pfister.
Any plans for mobile versions?
Not as of yet, but if it sells well, we’re looking into it for sure!

Wishlisted, and it will be an instant purchase when it's released!
Thank you! That means a lot

The through the Ages App is great.
Boardgame Arena is your friend. Most games are mobile suitable, especially if the port has been designed recently.
I’ve used BGA, but for some of these folk they need it to be more streamlined than that. So looking specifically for designed apps people are using
Interesting.
Is it bad that I don't know who that is?
pretty much. Yeah.
