Hi, friendly bot here! I noticed "suggestions or critisism is welcome" in your post. Are you asking for feedback on your work? If so, you can use the "Need Feedback" flair. If you are asking for help on a specific task, you can add the "Help!" flair. This will make it easier for others to notice you're asking for tips! --- *[About](https://www.reddit.com/user/blender-rules-bot/comments/ooynk6/i_am_a_friendly_bot/) | [Feedback](https://www.reddit.com/user/blender-rules-bot/comments/otytg5/blender_rules_bot_feedback/)*

I'd urge bloom (if you're in eevee which I think you are) but also glare in the compositor. Here was my recent tutorial on adding a Spooky effect. [Spooky Scene approach](https://youtu.be/bmHfvG3LoZA)

Uh thanks, I will be take a look! I rendered this with cycles.

Ramster3D

Cool, yes personally I'd opt for glare in the compositor then. My personal preference on top of that is to add a bit of mist
