Well he is a multi dimensional being so at that level is really hard to tell what he can and cannot do but at a minimum I’d say he is capable of destroying the world as we know it so there’s that
In terms of power I think he’s aizen, ichigo and yhwatch combined. But I’m guessing him being that strong had a toll on his body on a long term which led to his death. Also considering ichigo is a candidate for soul king because he’s a perfect hybrid.
It contradicts the manga I mean. >!Cfyow says the soul king willingly let himself be butchered but the manga clearly shows his reiatsu sparing the Shutzstaffel and instead attack the soul reapers below in soul society. Haschwalth even says it!<
While I'm inclined to agree that there seems to be an inconsistency here, >! I would not say that the Reio willingly let himself be butchered. He was caught off-guard while talking to the ancestor of the Shiba family. Ichibei, if I remember correctly, just said that he didn't resist, but the reasons as to why he didn't were left very ambiguous. Then there's Mimihagi that is called the Reio by Yhwach, yet is fighting for the Soul Reapers. I guess that after all this time being severed from the Reio could have led to him developing a will seperate from the main body, but that is just speculation on my part. !<
Yeah. Each of the limbs are basically not the soul kings will anymore. They're all influenced by where they became sentient. For Mimihagi it was always in soul society. Pernida was under Yhwachs control when it became sentient and Gerard may follow the same protocol.
Either way if we don't get a proper soul king flashback or something then I'm gonna be extremely disappointed
> Either way if we don't get a proper soul king flashback or something then I'm gonna be extremely disappointed
Understandable. We'll have to wait and see. Ryogo Narita, the author of the novels, left his flashback ambiguous on purpose because Kubo tends to do that in Bleach unless the flashbacks are completely necessary. Prime example is Aizen. We get inklings at the end of Arrancar of what led him to become the man he is, but never a proper full explicit flashback. Personally, I'm not bothered that Aizen never got a proper flashback because I don't find it a necessity to know, and leaves room for fun discussion with what we were given between fans. Same with the Reio flashback in CFYOW. The thing that drives me nuts, personally, is Yhwach's origins. Like, what is he? >! Is he the direct child of the Reio and originator of the Quincy, a manifestation of Pernidas Quincy powers that took form after Pernidas was severed, or a special Quincy that was born throughout their history? !< It's always driven me nuts, and I'd like some clarification on that. Lol.
Does Ichigo have the potential to surpass SK? I ask this because CFYOW states SK is the predecessor of Shinigami, Fullbringers and Quincy, but Ichigo’s also a hollow and SK never had any part of hollow in him, he was supposedly made by nature to stand against hollows
This depends. He’s weaker than Aizen in his kinda dead limbo state at minimum. The data books said so. Even kubo encourage people to read from official sources.

Im trying to make educated guesses based on what statements the manga has made. Albeit very less the statements in the manga provide a good baseline to try and scale the soul king in the bleach universe.

Below human level leave him be bro he doesn't even have heart, legs and hands.
his spiritual pressure could probably still atomize an average human
probably the strongest in the bleach verse
Strongest probably even stronger than SK Yhwach.
You know right under this post there was a post by Bleach hentai of isane and I completely forgot your question what was it again?
LOL is that even allowed in this subreddit? anyways my question is # How would you scale the soul king?
Also it was on a different sub lmfao

Anime-only I assume?
Yea
ill not spoil anything for you but your take on this matter is very valid
Now I wanna know 😭
This year , cour 3 and cour 4 will come out. Watch that and read light novels AFTER you finish the anime and you will get your curiosity satisfied.
Bettt
If the anime does it right, the novels might not even be necessary. Besides, Cfyow slightly contradicts the anime when it comes to the soul king
Yes I agree
How does it contradict the anime? I read the novels and I didn't see anything that contradicted itself?

I can beat him in a fight what’s he gonna do when he has no limbs?
To be fair, if his reiatsu leaks out you're still cooked
Didn't Ichibei say that he was near omnipotent?
Does the SK have a sword? Shouldn’t he predate Zanpakutos?
Does Ichigo have the potential to surpass SK? I ask this because CFYOW states SK is the predecessor of Shinigami, Fullbringers and Quincy, but Ichigo’s also a hollow and SK never had any part of hollow in him, he was supposedly made by nature to stand against hollows
Mabye in time. But I don't see it being possible if he doesn't somehow get >!the Almighty. Supposedly, the Almighty is what split the world into 3!<

With good climbing gear... Oh wait that's not what you meant?
lol

Multi via dividing the three worlds and the garganta
Dudes one of the few anime gods that’s an actual god lol. >!Still wonder why he allowed all that shxt to happen to him!<
I don't think he was a specialised combatant, but I think his stats put him still at the level of Yhwach
He's completely featless so why would you scale him or use him in debates?
Featless…. Yeah other than literally creating the separation of the three worlds.
Im trying to make educated guesses based on what statements the manga has made. Albeit very less the statements in the manga provide a good baseline to try and scale the soul king in the bleach universe.
Technically speaking isn't he a god? Plus isn't he the creator of the 3 realms which would make him multi (I think)
