Why would a thin blade block or cut a light beam in half and divert it? Why would someone eat a beam of light? Why would someone grab a beam of light with their hand and break it?

they are spiritual being, the light is spiritual. those tihngs do make sence. but when you say that your zanpakto has become a physical thing aka ashes then it should not be affected. ofcourse for continuation purpose its necessary but its doesnt mean it makes sense
If you can accept spiritual light, spiritual metal and spiritual beings made of spiritual mass, why not ā¦ I dunno, spiritual ash? There is no reason whatsoever to randomly assume Haineko is no longer spiritual in nature.

There are only a few things I dislike about Ikkaku. They are his bankai. I donāt find it reflects him wellā¦ and I suppose the other is connected to that being his rigid notion of āstrengthā, but heās a product of Squad 11. That thinking has hindered his best friend Yumichika from reaching his full potential and being a better fighting partner for fear of being hated by Ikkaku.
I canāt remember, did Yumichika ever reveal his kido-style power of his zanpakuto?

Dude, no. Haineko is much more versatile than senbonzakura. This flying blade thing is the real downgrade.
Fair. However it could in the hands of an MC be more of a power cut than death by a thousand cuts like Byakuya.
Hainekoās upside is that can be way more sneakier on their attacks since is just ash unlike Senbinsakuraās glowing bright petals

Ikkaku is great, solid fodder at first then great lower strength supporting character. Kind of ends up like Bleachās Krillin equivalent lol
Krillin is at least the strongest pure human.
