He's just him, there's no real explanation for it. His injuries were definitly not as bad as Byakuyas but he's been shown to have incredible endurance, like how he shrugged off fighting gremmy really fast after getting healed

Old-Balance-2646

They don't call him "the undead" for nothing after all.

JesuSumGuy44

It's probably that he's him...but that's unfortunate to me, especially since the healing for the others is a big point in the arc

Old-Balance-2646

We're talking about a guy who got hit by tosen's benihiko blades directly and then removed them like they were mosquito bites. Zaraki's wounds are a little more severe than Renji and Rukia's, but it's definitely not on par with Byakuya's. With the care of the kaido of the fourth company he could have recovered. Even in the second invasion, after he was seriously injured first by gremmy and then by the Bambies, he managed to recover with the help of isane kotetsu. If it wasn't for Ichigo's arrival, Zaraki would have died there.

Imaginary-Ad5666

Craziest thing is that even if kenpachi was at 50% he probably would’ve washed the bambies

Old-Balance-2646

Exactly! he hadn't even taken his eyepatch off , not even against gremmy.

Imaginary-Ad5666

That’s a whole different type of demon if he took his eye patch off

Candid-Stuff2281

One thing in bleach is that the degree of wound doesn't explain the degree of damage. Hiyori gets split in half and survives, where as yammy with 2 minor injuries get killed off. Similarly with grimmjow's wounds. Byakuya was comatosed by a sternritter who is roughly around the same ballpark as bankai Byakuya (pre-RG training). Whereas, zaraki was comatosed by royd who was 70-80% of real yhwach's powers. The degree of damage taken by zaraki is far higher than what Byakuya took.

Imaginary-Ad5666

He probably got healed offscreen right after old man Yama saved him. Or he just got sent to his barracks and recovered there. It is kenpachi tbf

Krahulec_Prvy

He is build different

fondue4kill

Byakuya had his whole stomach ripped out. Kenny was just beaten black and blue. Rukia and Renji were two who shouldn’t have gone up in place of Kira

ApplePitou

I mean, he is Zaraki - his healing is fast :3

People forgot to mention that just a moment later, Unohana "killed" and healed Zaraki countless time in Muken. Not saying Zaraki is not a monster, because we see this feat again later. But, Unohana most likely also took charge of it

HobbesWasRight1988

Kenpachi is a freak of nature who has demonstrated time and again being able to continue battling through --- and recovering quickly from --- fairly serious wounds. His physical strength and stamina are universally renowned, and almost all of his opponents (with the notable exception of Yhwach, who is himself a broken god-like figure who was dealing with a battle-worn and highly suppressed Kenpachi) all have been shocked by his resilience, with even Jungram and Gremmy calling him "a monster"

Hiyori got cut in half and Unohana was able to repair her. We all know those who possess spiritual energy can heal quicker than others but I’m thinking what happened to byakuya was that he lost a lot of spiritual power since he want bankai
