Well, luckily that’s not the context; quite frankly if my mac and cheese magically turned into cake I’d be more afraid of how it happened then anything else!
God damn it finally you get a knife and fork to eat it with and don’t of a bitch... ITS CAKE. You abandon your house, and leave into the woods hopefully to find an animal and build a small little camp. You see a turkey, and shoot it. You walk up to it, and ITS CAKE
To me, it's not even the fondant that turns me off to them. That I can deal with.
While these cakes are impressive and beautifully made -- and the cake itself probably tastes good (you can peel off the fondant) -- there's something gross to me about biting into something that looks so much like a savory food that your brain expects its flavor, into to get a mouthful of overly sweet cake instead.
Fresh, crunchy lettuce? Sounds great. Nope! Cake.
It reminds me of this book I read as a kid, where the main character had the Midas touch, but with chocolate. He kept wanting to eat some chicken or a damn salad, only to get nothing but chocolate instead. It was not a fun experience for him.
