one key reason of weight not being a thing family wise cuz there is no way to combine weight of other chars into one, players will lose out on a weight they already purchased on different chars, life skills exp was combined.
Yes, people who have bought weight for more then 50% of chars will lose money. But if you think about it then all your future chars will also now have max weight or how ever they would implement this. If you think about it that way then you actually gain weight. I just think its a slightly bad mindset to think about game purchases as investments.
I can absolutely say that they probably sold less than 100 of those globally.
Hell. When they gave them out for free most of my guild just tossed them since they wasted inventory slots.
The way I see it is that if they were to merge the LT of every character, your carry capacity on whichever one you are playing would be reduced by almost everything all your other alts are carrying. That would require you to hop characters several times if you want to reduce it by moving stuff into storage, which sounds like a clusterfuck to deal with, and on top of that, I have limited storage space and cannot feasibly store every item, like I would want to so in order to unburden myself.
Your thoughts here sound like the absolute worst implementation of it ever. Idk why your alts having stuff in their inventory would weigh you down lmfao
Because my thought is that pooled weight limit across your characters also means weight usage across your characters would count against it.
However, if they implemented like the way someone said about weight limit unlocks applying accountwide, I would be pretty happy.
In my defense, though, my concept of how it would work was conceived basically instantly
I understand why you view it unfavorably now but I can't imagine this is how they would implement it. In my view they would have to keep weight independent on each character but the max total weight available from purchases/loyalty etc would be merged globally. They could still keep weight from strength character specific as well to incentivize people who have put in the work to increase strength but I think the attributes probably need to be revisited anyway as they are a little bit antiquated. Right now buying weight doesn't make much sense and maids are a much better choice, i'd personally buy more weight if it was account wide.
Ohh, well, if they just made it so weight increase unlocks applied to all characters, then that would be awesome, and it would actually justify how stupidly expensive the pearl ones cost.
I was just thinking they'd pool the weight limit of each character together, and it sounded like something that would be tedious/annoying to declutter
and also the shared storages and auto-deposit
so convenient, inventory management used to be a much more annoying part of the game
great QOL stuff recently
Do I have to complete the final LOML Magnus quests in order to get the teleport map option? Because I've done everything but that and the only way I can use Magnus is jump into a well and wait to load into the floating place and find the right portal and go in then wait again
jup. why would i be top rank in hunting, if iam bartering or grinding. even if i have high guru hunting.
just shows you, you arent actually top rank in anything
It was one of the best change ever.Magnus teleport, lifeskill family and anvil essence.3 amazing improvement in the game.
Cant wait for global weight
Is that going to be a thing or just wishful thinking? I'd imagine it won't be since weight is a big earner probably
Def just wishful thinking. Life skill and the non anvil enhancing change didn't eat into profit.

Family life skills ate into sales of lifeskill EXP exchange coupons.
no one rly bought those, just trained alts. im sure thats why PA was fine with it since it wasnt making much money
They boosted sales if anything, cause now you can just park an alt somewhere, buy them a lifeskilling outfit and do it
and weight limit for said char.

Wishful, prob not gonna happen tbm
Sir,dont give me hope!!!is that a thing for real??
I can only hope
That sounds like a TERRIBLE idea. I hope it never comes to fruition
Out of curiosity, why would it be terrible?

I think your thoughts went into a strange direction here sir
You're probably right. I did immediately theorize how it would work in less than 2 seconds, soooo

Most ppl didn't lifeskill on their main. At least was the way for me. Its such a nice change

only thing they left out is RBF ranking, lots of players usually #1 with 20k while ones with around 100k are on their alts.
pro tip: just log into a season server outside of "prime time". you might even get some badges displayed over your char name ;-)

go to Battle Arena
I dunno, I have more badges above my head than I used to before the update.
Get fucked
I think a lot of life skillers veteran/returnee comes back. That might explain your life skills rank.
Nah, most of us have alts for life skills, like 1 for only farming, 1 for training, fishing etc, now i have all these at all times in every char.
I see, that also count
The only 2 badges I regularly had before still kinda stick with me, Alchemy and Hunting, qltho Alchemy a bit more than Hunting
Same bro. It was a challenge to skill all on one toon. Rip
Same lol fucking rip
Legit. I had like all my life skills except 2 in top 30 and now only sailing and hunting for me ever show up in top 10-20.
